UFOs, Aliens and Secrets
Former Government Employees Say It’s Time to Reveal Evidence

May 9m 2001 — They're out there — and the government knows.

Military Denies UFOs Alien Energy?

That's according to a group of about 20 former government workers, many of them military and security officials, who stepped forward today to say they had witnessed evidence of aliens and unidentified flying objects and called for congressional hearings about such sightings.

"These testimonies establish once and for all that we are not alone," said Steven Greer, director of the Disclosure Project, a nonprofit research organization dedicated to disclosing alleged alien sightings.

Greer, who organized the program at the National Press Club in Washington, argued that the United States and other governments have known about UFOs for at least 50 years and have been keeping the information secret.

Greer said there were some 400 witnesses who claim to have firsthand experience with UFO sightings or alien evidence, and are willing to testify before Congress.

Among them is Daniel Sheehan, a well-known Washington lawyer who today acted as counsel for members of Greer's group.

Sheehan told reporters that during the Carter administration he found out about government-held UFO information that then-CIA Director George Bush, father of the current president, would not release.

Sheehan said he was then led into the National Archives where he was shown photographs of captured UFOs, complete with what appeared to be alien writing symbols, but he was only allowed to take notes on a yellow legal pad. He traced the photos onto the cardboard back of his pad, he said.

Military Denies UFOs

The U.S. government repeatedly has denied having any evidence of alien species, though it investigated the possibility for decades.

The Air Force was responsible for investigating alleged sightings for the military. From 1947 to 1969, the service's Project Blue Book at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, investigated 12,618 reported sightings. It said it found explanations for all but 701, such as swamp gas, airplane lights, weather balloons and other natural phenomena.

Sightings for which explanations couldn't be determined were categorized as sketchy reports that couldn't be pinned down.

In 1997, the Air Force announced it was formally closing its nearly 50-year investigation into the alleged alien sighting at Roswell, N.M. It denied that there was evidence of a UFO at Roswell and that the military covered it up.

"Information obtained through exhaustive records searches and interviews indicated the material recovered near Roswell was consistent with a balloon device of the type used in a then-classified project," said a Pentagon statement. "No records indicated, or even hinted at, the recovery of 'alien' bodies or extraterrestrial materials."

Alien Energy?

In another statement today, Donna Hare, a former NASA contract employee, said that Apollo astronauts saw an alien craft when they landed on the moon, but were told not to reveal it. Hare's source was a man who had been quarantined with the astronauts.

Former Air Force Maj. George Filer III told reporters that when he was at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey, an alien craft came down, and an alien got out and was shot by a military policeman.

"Our security police went out there and found him at the end of the runway dead, Filer said.

"They asked me to brief the general staff," he said, but was later told not to.He said he would tell the story in front of Congress.

Greer said extraterrestrials could provide a new, plentiful source of energy that would provide the world's energy needs.

Information from alien encounters, said Greer, could also have significant impact on the global environment and the quest for world peace.

Dear list members.
International mainstream world wide station BBC WORLD SERVICE has just released a report (about 22:50 CET time / 20:50 GMT time = May 9 2001.) about Disclosure project and National Press Club Conference. Inside the supplement are some segments from the Conference, statements from the VIP UFO wintesses (Michael Smith and Clifford Stone - Smith talked about UFO radar detections and Stone talked about crashed saucers and bodies found) and the interview with Dr. Steven Greer.
BBC has put a e-mail in the air where BBC wants to hear the comments from the listeners about the subject of UFO disclosure. Greer talked about UFO dislosure implications from the cold ward as one of the reasons for
UFO controversy.

The e-mail is: newshour@bbc.co.uk

So go for it guys :)))

I will send the complete review about this supplement for a day or a two. I have recorded a supplement and it is now in my archive with the other previous BBC UFO news reports from the past. I had a information before that BBC will be presented at the conference. I also have previous experiance with BBC about UFO reports and I from that perspective I thought that they will do something about it again. In the past BBC has done great suplements about Peter Sturrock's study on UFO's back in 1998 together with Edgar Mitchell's interview who said that he is supporting pressures for Congressional hearings about UFO subject. You may find my previous reports about those BBC supplements in UFO UPDATES mailing list archive (somewhere in 1998). I will send a UPDATE leter. This is first BBC report about National Press Club Conference (I know because I am listening BBC all the time in the last week). So we may expect more reports later so tune on the BBC and monitor other mainstream stations how will they aproach to this subject.

NOTE: BBC WORLD WIDE SERVICE can be heard over short wave, satelitte and Internet REAL AUDIO. For more information about frequencies etc. use your search Web engine.

Panel Calls for Congressional UFO Hearings

“Panels of experts” are nothing new in Washington, but when a panel of experts says UFOs are real, it tends to raise a few eyebrows. Today at the National Press Club, representatives from the Disclosure Project gathered to demand Congressional hearings to settle the UFO question.

The Disclosure Project is study conducted by the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence, a group consisting mainly of former government and military personnel. They want answers to what is perhaps mankind’s oldest question: Is there someone or something out there besides us? Yes, say experts from the Disclosure Project, and furthermore, they say they have evidence to prove it. ( http://www.disclosureproject.org )

“[Aliens] have circled around this planet. Some have been on this planet. They clearly want to communicate in peace," says Dr. Carol Rosin. They insist that this isn't about alien abduction, or about people being taken up into a spacecraft. This is a close encounter, they say, that hits a lot closer to home.

The Disclosure Project claims to have hundreds of unimpeachable interviews with government and military insiders that prove that aliens are watching, and are worried about our military capabilities, particularly nuclear weapons.

Dr. Steven Greer says, "I think what they are saying to us is that they don't want us going out into space with these weapons of mass destruction and I think they would be positively stopped."

Robert Salas, a retired Air Force Captain and FAA engineer, believes he saw aliens stop a missile from entering outer space. He was stationed as a launch officer at a missile silo in Montana in 1967 when what he thinks was a UFO suddenly appeared. "I reported it to my commander,” he says, “but as I was reporting it, our missiles
started shutting down, so I'm convinced there was a direct relationship between the UFO and the missile shutdown."

The panel also claims that the United States government has long been in possession of alien spacecraft
and bodies, and has learned to understand alien technology that could be used to help the public. "Our problems out in California with electric could be a thing of the past if we use their technology," says John Callahan.

But the government says that the wreckage they refer to, recovered in the desert outside of Roswell, New Mexico in 1947, came from a weather balloon, and the “alien bodies” were really crash test dummies.

The Disclosure Project, of course, maintains that story is part of a massive cover-up. But at this point, the prospect of the United States Congress opening hearings on the subject is, at best, unlikely.

Science, Aliens, Theology Meet Over Cloning

September 28, 2000

Mix science, theology and images of aliens together in the new Millennium and  you're bound to generate offbeat ideas that are certain to create controversy.

Take the case reported by Canada's National Post newspaper in its Sunday  editions this week: A small religious sect plans to offer human cloning  services beginning this fall, based on its beliefs that the technology is  nothing more than God's gift of immortality. And, in fact, believes the  Raelian Movement, humanity, itself, was created by extraterrestrial  intelligent life forms in ET laboratories and that these extraterrestrials  clone Jesus for the resurrection. (Cosmiverse reported in August that another  organization in Europe, Clone Jesus, hopes to clone Jesus from DNA by  Christmas, 2001, to speed His second coming.)

"The Raelian Movement, a 50,000-member religion that believes human cloning  is the first step toward eternal life, has found a set of parents in the United States willing to pay up to $2 million to have their baby cloned," reported the National Post's online edition. The couple hopes to re-create their 10-month-old child who died, using blood samples from the deceased infant as the DNA source for the cloning.

To realize its mission of immortality, the Realians founded Valiant Ventures Ltd. in the U.S., claiming to be the first in the world to offer human cloning as a commercial venture. While the location of the company's facilities has not been disclosed, it's said to be in one of the states that has no restrictions on the practice.

The Post said the movement's leadership has identified 50 members of the sect that have volunteered as surrogate mother for the new cloned baby, which it hopes will be born by Christmas of 2001. "The company has received hundreds of calls from parents asking about the service, including inquiries from homosexual couples who want a child cloned from one partner's DNA," said the Post.

For $50,000, Valient Ventures will store an individual's DNA for later cloning. It expects the fee for the full cloning service to start at $200,000. And earlier this year, the company announced its plan to offer cloning of animals for pet owners; that service could cost up to $50,000 and may begin as early as October, said the Post.

Dr. Patricia Baird, who chaired Canada's Royal Commission on Reproductive Technologies in 1993, told the newspaper she is strongly opposed to human cloning. "It's disrespectful to the individuality of that human being. Cloning does not copy all the kinds of attributes of human beings that we value. It copies certain genetic ones, but not the ones that are important in terms of personal interaction, which are determined by environmental input."

"It raises so many social and ethical questions of harm that it raises the need--again--for regulation internationally to deal with the issues surrounding human cloning," Baird told the Post. Canada has a moratorium on human cloning.

*Priest says ETs are brethren

June 19, 2000 07:42 CDT

An Argentinean Jesuit priest told an international conference in Rome last  week that he believes "extraterrestrials exist and are our brothers."

Jose Funes also is an astrophysicist and he thinks the odds are in favor of  extraterrestrial life because of the multitude of stars in multiple galaxies.

"In a typical galaxy there can exist a multiplicity of planets similar to our Earth, and with living beings like ourselves. If it is as I believe, they must be considered our brothers in creation," said Funes.

He participated in a Vatican Observatory conference last week in which more than 250 discussed the theological implications of the galaxies in the universe. The conference was held at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.

The Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera reported that conferees discussed everything from the so-called "Big Bang" theory of creation to the possibility that ET cultures could exist now or in the future.

"I believe that there are only primitive life forms in the other planets of  our solar system, such as bacteria and viruses," said Funes. "Evolved civilizations are more remote and invisible and unattainable for now." He equated the existence of extraterrestrial intelligent life to angels, which are beyond mankind's sensory perception; these, too, "are also our brothers," he said.

UFO THEORISTS GAIN SUPPORT ABROAD, BUT REPRESSION AT HOME

STUDY BY FRENCH OFFICIALS, ROUTINE UNEXPLAINED SIGHTINGS, US MILITARY SAFETY ASPECTS COMBINE TO BOOST BELIEVERS

Last month's release of the first detailed satellite images of Area 51, the top-secret US Air Force test site in Nevada, prompted a Web site meltdown as people from across the nation logged on in search of clues about unidentified flying objects.

"The interest has been really phenomenal," said David Mountain, marketing director for Aerial Images Inc., which posted the high-resolution photographs of Area 51 on the Internet.

But those hoping to see signs that captured UFOs are stored at the site (as some aficionados have suggested) were destined to be disappointed. Most of Area 51's operations occur underground, making photos meaningless.

Anyone looking for fresh information on UFOs would have better luck trying a new, but less publicized, source: a study by the French military, just translated into an approved English edition.

High-level officials - including retired generals from the French Institute of Higher Studies for National Defense, a government-financed strategic planning agency - recently took a giant step in openly challenging skepticism about UFOs.

In a report based on a three-year study, they concluded that "numerous manifestations observed by reliable witnesses could be the work of craft of extraterrestrial origin" and that, in fact, the best explanation is "the extraterrestrial hypothesis." Although not categorically proven, "strong presumptions exist in its favor and if it is correct, it is loaded with significant consequences."

The French group reached that conclusion after examining nearly 500 international aeronautical sightings and radar/visual cases, and previously undisclosed pilots' reports. They drew on data from official sources, government authorities, and the air forces of other countries. The findings are contained in a 90-page report titled "UFOs and Defense: What Should We Prepare For?"

"The number of sightings, which are completely unexplained despite the abundance and quality of data from them, is growing throughout the world," the team declared.

The authors note that about 5 percent of sightings on which there is solid documentation cannot be easily attributed to earthly sources, such as secret military exercises. This 5 percent seem "to be completely unknown flying machines with exceptional performances that are guided by a natural or artificial intelligence," they say. Science has developed plausible models for travel from another solar system and for technology that could be used to propel the vehicles, the report points out.

It assures readers that UFOs have demonstrated no hostile acts, "although intimidation maneuvers have been confirmed."

Given the widespread skepticism about UFOs, many will quickly dismiss the generals' "extraterrestrial hypothesis." But it is less easy to do so once the authors' credentials are considered. The study's originators are four-star General Bernard Norlain, former commander of the French Tactical Air Force and military counselor to the prime minister; General Denis Letty, an air force fighter pilot; and Andre Lebeau, former head of the National Center for Space Studies, the French equivalent of NASA.

They formed a 12-member "Committee for In-depth Studies," abbreviated as COMETA, which authored the report. Other contributors included a three-star admiral, the national chief of police, and the head of a government agency studying the subject, as well as scientists and weapons engineers.

Not only does the group stand by its findings, it is urging international action. The writers recommend that France establish "sectorial cooperation agreements with interested European and foreign countries" on the matter of UFOs. They suggest that the European Union undertake diplomatic action with the United States "exerting useful pressure to clarify this crucial issue which must fall within the scope of political and strategic alliances."

Why might the United States be interested - albeit, privately - in a subject often met with ridicule, or considered the domain of the irrational?

For one thing, declassified US government documents show that unexplained objects with extraordinary technical capabilities pose challenges to military activity around the globe. For example, US fighter jets have attempted to pursue UFOs, according to North American Aerospace Defense Command logs and Air Force documents. Iranian and Peruvian air force planes attempted to shoot down unidentified craft in 1976 and 1980. Belgium F-16s armed with missiles pursued a UFO in 1990.

Further, the French report says that there have been "visits above secret installations and missile bases" and "military aircraft shadowed" in the United States.

Edgar Mitchell, the Apollo 14 astronaut who was the sixth man to walk on the moon, is one of many supporters of international cooperation on UFOs. Of the French report, he says, "It's significant that individuals of some standing in the government, military, and intelligence community in France came forth with this."

Mitchell, who holds a doctorate from MIT in aeronautics and astronautics, is convinced "at a confidence level above 90 percent, that there is reality to all of this." He says, "People have been digging through the files and investigating for years now. The files are quite convincing. The only thing that's lacking is the official stamp."

Mitchell joins five-star Admiral Lord Hill-Norton, the former head of the British Ministry of Defense, in calling for congressional fact-finding hearings into the UFO question.

Although Congress seems disinclined to pursue the matter, the public's interest in UFOs is undiminished. A ballot initiative underway in Missouri, certified by the secretary of state in March, urges Congress to convene hearings. The initiative states that "the Federal Government's handling of the UFO issue has contributed to the public cynicism toward, and general mistrust of, government."

US Naval Reserve Commander Willard H. Miller has long been communicating this same concern to high level federal officials. With over 30 years in Navy and joint interagency operations with the Defense Department, Miller has participated in a series of previously undisclosed briefings for Pentagon brass about military policy regarding UFOs.

Like many, Miller says he worries that the military's lack of preparation for encounters with unexplained craft could provoke dangerous confrontation when, and if, such an encounter occurs; "precipitous military decisions," he warns, "may lead to unnecessary confusion, misapplication of forces, or possible catastrophic consequences."

And he says he is not alone in his concerns. "There are those in high places in the government who share a growing interest in this subject," Miller reports.

If the US military is concerned about UFOs, it is not saying so publicly. Indeed, the French report chastises the United States for what it calls an "impressive repressive arsenal" on the subject, including a policy of disinformation and military regulations prohibiting public disclosure of UFO sightings.

Air Force Regulation 200-2, "Unidentified Flying Objects Reporting," for example, prohibits the release to the public and the media of any data about "those objects which are not explainable." An even more restrictive procedure is outlined in the Joint Army Navy Air Force Publication 146, which threatens to prosecute anyone under its jurisdiction - including pilots, civilian agencies, merchant marine captains, and even some fishing vessels - for disclosing reports of sightings relevant to US security.

Although researchers have been able to obtain some information through the Freedom of Information Act, many UFO documents remain classified.

In earlier decades, issues that remain pertinent today were openly discussed. In 1960, for example, US Representative Leonard G. Wolf of Iowa entered an "urgent warning" from R. E. Hillenkoetter, a former CIA director and Navy vice admiral, into the Congressional Record that "certain dangers are linked with unidentified flying objects." Wolf cited General L. M. Chassin, NATO coordinator of Allied Air Service, warning that "If we persist in refusing to recognize the existence of the UFOs, we will end up, one fine day, by mistaking them for the guided missiles of an enemy - and the worst will be upon us."

These concerns were taken seriously enough to be incorporated into the 1971 US-Soviet "Agreement on Measures to Reduce the Outbreak of Nuclear War."

The French report may open the door for nations to be more forthcoming once again. Chile, for example, is openly addressing its own concerns about air safety and UFOs. The now retired chief of the Chilean Air Force has formed a committee with civil aviation specialists to study recent near-collisions of UFOs and civilian airliners.

As the international conversation about UFOs unfolds, sightings continue, as they have for decades. Perhaps the most notable recent US sighting took place in March 1997. Hundreds of people across Arizona reported seeing huge triangular objects, hovering silently in the night sky - a sighting that, as the state's US Senator John McCain noted recently, has "never been fully explained."

As recently as Jan. 5, four policemen at different locations in St. Claire County, Illinois, witnessed a huge, brightly lighted, triangular craft flying and hovering at 1,000 feet. One officer reported witnessing extreme rapid motion by the craft that cannot be explained in conventional terms. Nearby Scott Air Force base and the Federal Aviation Administration purport to know nothing.

The Defense Department maintains it can find no information acknowledging the existence of the triangular objects. In response to a suit by curious Arizonans, it provided details of its search to US District Court Judge Stephen M. McNamee of Phoenix. On March 30, McNamee concluded that "a reasonable search was conducted" even though no information was obtained, and he dismissed the case.

There is one government agency in the country that has taken steps to prepare for a UFO encounter. The Fire Officer's Guide to Disaster Control, second edition - used by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and taught at the seven universities offering degrees in fire science - warns of "UFO hazards," such as electrical fields that cause blackouts, force fields, and physiological effects.

"Do not stand under a UFO that is hovering at low altitudes," the book warns. "Do not touch or attempt to touch a UFO that has landed."

The text leaves little room for skepticism. John E. Mack, professor of psychiatry at Harvard University and a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, stopped being skeptical a long time ago.

"No culture from the beginning of time, no culture from anywhere on the planet, has ever voided the idea of all other intelligent life other than ourselves," he told a UFO conference at the New York Hall of Science two weeks ago. "That's arrogance."

Thank you,

UFO Cover-Up Fading' Says White House Correspondent Sarah McClendon

Washington, D.C. -- Unidentified Flying Objects, a term given for many years to unexplained sightings of craft in the skies over every state in the Union, are actual visitors from other worlds, believe a community of scientists and technicians employed by government.

<snip>

In fact that is the quote from her 30 March 1998. article. During the 1998. She had 2 very interesting and progressive articles about UFO disclosure. The 2nd one was released at July 1, 1998. Here it is:

July 1, 1998

From: Sarah McClendon

White House Correspondent

Washington, D.C. - Pressure is building up for Congress to give attention to the controversy over unidentified flying objects. With scientists from Stanford, MIT, Cornell, Princeton and elsewhere studying UFO evidence, the controversy is now being brought out into the open and heavy secrecy surrounding the subject is being lifted. Seminars on UFO evidence are being held periodically throughout the country with laymen discussing the evidence without fear of being ridiculed.

When about 30 members of Congress or their staff heard a briefing on UFOs in April of 1997, Rep. Dan Burton, R., Ind. chairman of the Government Reform and Oversight Committee, displayed some interest in the matter. His committee has received a number of letters on the subject, according to staff member Matthew Ebert. "These letters are treated seriously," he said. Ebert thinks there is a possibility congressional hearings will be held.

At a May 11 hearing on human rights documents pertaining to Guatemala and Honduras held by the House subcommittee on Government Management Information and Technology, its chairman Rep. Steve Horn, R. CA, asked how the government classifies UFO documents. The two witnesses, Lee Strickland, chief of the Information Review Group of the Central Intelligence Agency and Steven Garfinkle, director of the Security and Oversight Group of the National Archives, both said they thought UFO documents should be considered as public information.

There may be economic benefits from this emerging information. Dr. Steven Greer, an emergency room physician, who for eight years has briefed and been briefed by government and U.N. officials on the subject of unidentified objects in U.S. airspace, is convinced that the materials and technology of UFOs carry enormous benefits. For example, he says their energy creating apparatus does not use internal combustion.

Greer asserts the financial and environmental cost of exploiting oil and gas to service 6 billion people worldwide can be dramatically reduced. Large scale energy production derived from UFO technology would reverse environmental damage and save hundreds of billions of dollars annually in direct costs.

Dr. Greer is the International Director of the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence and leads a working team of around 200 composed of CSETI members and associates, government employee witnesses, consultants and government contacts. Their hope is to get congress to hold hearings and take testimony from witnesses. He has explained his conclusions to a number of congressional members.

A national petition utilizing the Internet and calling for congressional hearings was launched last year by another group, Stargate International out of Tucson, Arizona. It has accumulated 20,000 + names to be presented to congress. A million signatures are sought.

Greer is aware that many employees of the government keep secret facts which they have obtained about UFOs. He feels it is unconstitutional for government to bottle up information of this importance. He would like to see UFO's openly discussed and covered widely in the press.

For some years the belief has been widespread there is in the public domain a presidential executive order forbidding government employees from talking about UFOs. Dr. Greer is not aware of any such an executive order but indicated concern that secret executive orders have been issued and not disclosed to Congress or the public. Such secret orders would make it difficult for people to learn more about UFOs. From the White House it was learned that a check of executive orders going back to the early eighteen thirties shows none has been issued on this subject. Surprising is the growing number of citizens showing an interest in finding out more about UFOs. Seminars are being held around the country every week with as many as five and six hundred in attendance.

Petition sample form approved for circulation on March 24, 2000. Official ballot title certified by Secretary of State on March 24, 2000.

OFFICIAL BALLOT TITLE AS CERTIFIED BY SECRETARY OF STATE

Shall Missouri statutes be amended to state that the year 2000 be proclaimed and observed as the Year of UFO Awareness; to contain a statement urging the U.S. Congress to convene open, comprehensive hearings in which government personnel are permitted to present sworn testimony regarding their personal knowledge of any UFO-related evidence given under immunity by waiver of any applicable security oath or agreement of nondisclosure; and to proclaim various statements regarding UFO as fact?

The estimated fiscal impact of this proposed measure to state and local governments is unknown.

FULL TEXT OF PROPOSITION AS SUBMITTED BY PETITIONER

"Be it enacted by the people of the state of Missouri: that the year 2000 be proclaimed and observed as the Year of UFO Awareness. Because of the Federal Government's failure to be officially forthcoming about Unidentified Flying Objects, the public remains ill-informed and confused on a matter of potentially great consequence. We therefore urge the U. S. Congress to expeditiously convene open, comprehensive hearings in which government personnel (military, civilian-contract, and agency employees -active and retired) are permitted to present sworn testimony regarding their personal knowledge of any UFO-related evidence, to be given under immunity by waiver of any applicable security oath or agreement of nondisclosure. This proclamation acknowledges the following facts: (1) the weight of the cumulative evidence - e.g., eyewitness, electronic-detection, photographic, documentary - overwhelmingly supports the conclusion of a majority of Americans that some of the reported UFOs represent somebody else's spacecraft; (2) the Federal Government's handling of the UFO issue has contributed to the public cynicism toward, and general mistrust of, government - a development injurious to our republic; (3) this initial year of the third millennium affords us a renewed opportunity to explore, assess, and convery every facet of UFO reality."

NASA Shuttle Video Said To Show ET Craft

Secret NASA space shuttle transmissions to Earth apparently showing bizarre UFOs are being broadcasted on the internet. Canadian Martyn Stubbs downloaded 2,500 hours of video from the space agency's satellite link, which handles all NASA transmissions. Now he's broadcasting 90 minutes of edited highlights to an expected internet audience of millions.

UFO enthusiasts believe the footage contains dramatic evidence showing two types of extra-terrestrial phenomenon, and describe the film as historic. Weird shapes are shown massing on the shuttle equipment while the astronauts talk openly with mission control about the spooky event.

Dr Guido Nigro, Director of the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, SETI, observatory was reportedly visibly shaken after viewing part of the footage. I am very impressed, he said. This time we are not talking about footage taken by someone with a home movie camera.

Maybe this will prove there is something else that we are not aware of, at least officially. The footage was aired at the ninth International UFO conference in Nevada and shows two bizarre phenomenon.

Now you can see it yourself by clicking into the Conspiracy Journal homepage: http://www.webufo.net Click on the banner that says Special Update: NASA Footage.

Martyn's breakthrough came when he watched a $100 million satellite cable snap taking the tether 12 miles into space during NASA's Discovery missions. From the moment it broke to the moment it's many miles away a spherical phenomena follows and swarms round it.

It was all going in different directions.

When the astronauts were asked how far away the tether was, they replied more than 80 miles. He claims the distance and the size of the sphere-like phenomena must be huge.

NASA has officially guessed that the shards are ice specks, but Martyn scoffed: I've never heard of a six-mile long ice crystal that's spotted crystal clear 100 miles away and there are hundreds of different examples. Once NASA said they were shooting stars or meteors, but we have documentation that shows that NASA didn't have an answer. When you see those pictures, the pictures of the shuttle today and the Mir space station, you see the same spherical phenomena.

Martyn also describes how astronauts on the STS-80 shuttle mission could not open the door due because the phenomena was BLOCKING it. The phenomena was all around the door, and they (the crew) were moving the door and trying to get it open.

A flight or two later, the astronauts were commenting right on the feed that something had come right through the door, that they were seeing these flashing colored lights. To make this discovery he painstakingly examined more than 500 eight-hour video tapes.

He said: I can't tell you what is there, but I can tell you what shouldn't be there. It's not a matter of finding something, it's more about collecting, studying and analyzing. Eventually the jigsaw puzzle will come together.

All the clips were recorded during NASA's Discovery missions since 1991. Martyn used equipment from the Vancouver Cable Station where he worked, including a satellite dish to monitor NASA's space program for five years. He recorded every communication sent throughout the missions and meticulously broke down all the footage.

Psychological Warfare and The MAJESTIC Documents: Little Evidence of Deception

REDWOOD CITY, California, March 15, 2000 — In response to speculation from an unknown author on www.isso.org about linkage between psychological warfare and the Majestic documents, Ryan S. Wood has written a paper that confronts head on the issue of psychological warfare and the role it might have played in UFO documents. The paper can be downloaded in adobe PDF format from http://www.majesticdocuments.com/authentication/pdf/psywar.pdf

"The paper reviews the key definitions of PSYWAR and PSYOP along with the central discriminates for testing for evidence of psychological warfare and propaganda. The contents of the documents are reviewed as they pertain to psywar along with long standing experts in the field military psychological warfare" said Dr. Robert Wood.

"What is key to remember is that the Majestic documents are beyond the scope of domestic home grown fakers both in duration, complexity and obscure valid facts. It is only the resources and expertise of CIA / KGB or equivalent organizations that have the capability to create such a rouse. Yet when you examine the documents for signs of such deception there is none to be found. There are no clear objectives, there is no history of building credibility with the target, there is a massive attractant provided for foreign intelligence assets (a bad thing if you want to keep something secret) and the long standing military experts agree with this conclusion" said Ryan Wood.

The Majestic documents investigation team encourages you to download the paper and read the evidence for yourself. The address is http://www.majesticdocuments.com/authentication/pdf/psywar.pdf

Egyptian Magazine Says A Dead Alien Was Found At Giza in 1988

UFO ROUNDUP - Volume 5, Number 9

A strange story about the Great Pyramid of Giza appeared in the March 2000 issue of the Egyptian magazine Rose El-Yussuf.

According to the article, in 1988, French Egyptologist Louis Caparat "discovered a secret room in the Great Pyramid of Cheops. The alien humanoid "was found in a crystalline transparent case. At first the alien appeared to be hibernating," or in
a state of suspended animation.
http://members.aol.com/rubie2zday/clues.html#c14a

Caparat reportedly "also found a papyrus text" which described Pharoach Khufu meeting with the alien, who told him that some day his space-traveling species would arrive from the stars. The alien supposedly suggested the design of the pyramid and persuaded the Egyptians to build it as his resting place.

"Caparat sent a message to a colleague in Spain, Francisco de Braga, a biologist, inviting him to come to Egypt" to take blood, cell, tissue and DNA samples from the dead alien. But when Dr. de Braga arrived in Cairo, he was detained by the Egyptian Ministry of State Security and put on a plane back to Madrid.

According to Rose El-Yussuf, the dead alien was
taken to a laboratory at an undisclosed location by Egyptian military intelligence...

Subject: Dr. John Mack | Passport to the Cosmos

Date: Sun, 23 Jan 2000

"Science of Not Knowing" by John E. Mack, M.D.

Despite official skepticism and even cynicism in media, government, and scientific circles, it must be evident to many Americans that something extraordinary-at least from the standpoint of the Western worldview-is going on.

No conventional explanation for the thousands of reported cases of encounters with alien beings has been sufficient, and this remains true in spite of the fact that the experiencers themselves would, with rare exceptions, welcome any explanation other than that they are being visited without their permission by humanoid creatures from another place.

Yet the debate that is devoted to the UFO abduction phenomenon remains focused largely on the question of whether or not it is real in the strictly physical sense.

Some skeptics even claim or imply that, insofar as the physical evidence for the reality of the phenomenon does not meet standards of scientific proof, we can presume for practical purposes that it does not exist at all.

But what if the phenomenon were subtle in the sense that it may manifest in the physical world, but derive from a source which by its very nature could not provide the kind of hard evidence that would satisfy skeptics for whom reality is limited to the material?

If so, might we not be losing an opportunity to learn and grow as a species by remaining so wedded to an epistemology of physical proof?

What if, instead, we were to acknowledge that the abduction phenomenon is intrinsically mysterious and, ultimately, beyond our present framework of knowledge?

What if we were to admit our puzzlement before this mystery?

Might not such an attitude of humility become, paradoxically, a way to enlarge upon what could then be learned?

Is it possible that adopting an open attitude could result in greater knowledge not only about the physical aspects of the phenomenon, but about numinous dimensions as well?

And might not this opening of consciousness enable us to learn of unseen realities now obscured by our too limited epistemology, allowing us to rediscover the sacred and the divinity in nature and in ourselves?

PARANORML NEWs NETWORK

P3N: PRESS RELEASE: February 7, 2000

FEDERAL JUDGE RESERVES DECISION ON UFO GROUP'S REQUEST

In a precedent setting hearing today, a federal judge has decided to consider a UFO group's claims that the government failed to conduct an adequate search for information about a very unusual aerial object.

In the Phoenix, Arizona federal lawsuit, Citizens Against UFO Secrecy (CAUS) vs. the Department of Defense, Chief Judge Stephen M. McNamee, once again ignored the government's plea to dismiss the case, and instead took under advisement the group's claims that the government was guilty of bad faith in its search for information about a very unusual triangular aerial object.

Though CAUS, which had brought the lawsuit under the Freedom of Information Act in 1999, submitted numerous affidavits from witnesses who had observed the aerial object, the Department of Defense continued to maintain in Court, that it could find no information confirming the existence of this object.

During the 30 minute hearing before a standing-room-only audience of UFO enthusiasts, Peter A. Gersten, attorney for the UFO activist organization, Citizens Against UFO Secrecy (CAUS) argued that the government's search lacked the necessary element of "good faith." He claimed that the Department of Defense's mishandling of the initial request raised an "inference of indifference" on the agency's part and tainted any subsequent search.

Gersten, holding up a Department of Defense form which initially indicated that documents had been found, only to be later changed to "Not Found," argued that the form was more than mere sloppiness on the government's part, it was evidence of bad faith and even possibly a "signal" from agency insiders in favor of disclosure, that documents were located.

With the Judge's tacit approval, Gersten berated the Defense Department for failing to provide his client with the specifics of its search and in a surprise move, Gersten asked the Judge to reserve decision on the government's motion to dismiss for ninety days in order to allow his client to "assist the Department of Defense in locating its own documents" by permitting CAUS to conduct limited discovery procedures including depositions and interrogatories of both military and civilian personnel.

Judge McNamee, who appeared receptive to Gersten's arguments, stated that he would take the CAUS request under advisement and issue a written opinion shortly.

Heathrow 'UFO' Report Baffles Experts

A UFO-style incident, reported by two passenger airline pilots flying from Heathrow airport, baffled aviation experts, a near-miss report reveals.

The pilots of an Oslo-bound McDonnell Douglas MD81 aircraft reported a metallic grey-coloured object pass by 30-50 metres away through cloud.

No explanation for the object could be found despite extensive inquiries, said the report from the Civil Aviation Authority.

The captain reported the object as being the size of a small aircraft, while the co-pilot described it as a "bright light, very close".

Reporting to an air traffic controller, the captain said "a flare or something passed 20 feet from our aircraft".

Later, he said he was not sure what had passed by - it might have been an aircraft but the crew were not sure.

The pilot agreed to file an airprox, or near-miss, report, and commented that the object "looked like a fighter or something, about 20-50 metres away and moving very fast".

A series of checks into the mid-day June 12, 1998, incident revealed nothing on a radar replay screen, nothing from a local police investigation and nothing from inquiries among the general public.

The number of dangerous aircraft near-misses fell to an all-time low last year, the CAA report said.

The number of near-misses involving public transport flights per 100,000 flying hours last year was 1.20, compared with 2.37 in 1997 and 2.87 in 1996.

Holographic Technology

Quasi-Information Warfare/Psychological Operations Program

Pentagon, Psyops and Holographic Technology

by Norio Hayakawa

Quoting from CONTACT: THE PHOENIX PROJECT - June 3, 1997:

PENTAGON'S NEW INFORMATION WAR + PSYOPS' HOLOGRAPHIC TECHNOLOGY

The March 31, 1997 DEFENSE WEEK ran a story, "Air Force Organizes For Offensive Info War". According to the article, the US Air Force has created the position of deputy director for information operations. An "Offensive Information Warfare" division will be created under the new deputy director. The division will be created under the new deputy director. The division will have the organizational code AF/XOIOW and will be headed by Lt. Col. Jimmy Miyamoto.

Offensive information warfare, which implies attacks on both military and civilian targets, is among the least discussed aspect of the Air Force's moves to organize, train, and equip the service for information dominance, the article admits.

The new information Operations office will coordinate with the Pentagon's Joint Chiefs of Staff, National Security Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency, Central Intelligence Agency, National Reconnaissance Office, Defense Airborne Reconnaissance Office and the National Imagery and Mapping Agency. New research efforts are underway to support this new program, including: Lethal HPM munitions. The USAF Office of Scientific Research is working on developing a small affordable laser and high-powered microwave for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs - such as the ones being tested most likely at locations such as at Groom Lake Complexes (AREA 51) in Nevada, General Aerodynamics facility at El Mirage Dry Lake area, north of McDonnel-Douglas radar cross-section site near Llano, California - Norio ) to perform a wide variety of missions, including enemy communications and computer systems.

Software viruses to be placed or injected into enemy weapons and information links. These viruses would remain dormant until activated by satellite, aircraft radar, or jamming equipment, etc. When activated, the virus would render the equipment useless, or better yet, "there could be a very subtle change for a finite period of time".

Holographic projection. The article describes a quasi-information warfare/psychological operations program that was first discussed in the Air Force after Desert Storm. Holographic projection involves projection of a three-dimensional holographic image in project decoys, or even an "angry god" (religious imagery) above the battlefield.

The Pentagon had listed the holographic projections openly as part of its "non-lethal" weapons program. But since 1994, the program has disappeared from view, evidently now a "black" effort, says DEFENSE WEEK.

In conclusion, the DEFENSE WEEK article states that the Army's JFK Special Warfare Center and School in late 1991 disclosed that it was looking to develop a PSYOPS Hologram System with a capability "to project persuasive messages and three-dimensional pictures of cloud, smoke, rain droplets, buildings......(even religious "images" or "figures")........The use of holograms as a persuasive message will have worldwide application". (end quoting). (This looks like it will be a concentrated unit of soldiers armed with the very latest high-tech weapons systems)

|Subj: _French Govt admits UFOs are real?_

Did anyone listen to this interview on Art Bell the other night?
This really is a major newstory!

There was Interview with French General Bernard Toaneal (spelling is off) by Whitley Strieber (guest host for Art Bell) who said that UFOs are real and probably piloted by beings from another world. The French Government has recently released a 90 page report on UFOs where high ranking officials in the French Government are basically saying that the military has actively engaged with UFOs in the past and has been intimidated by them in some instances.

The report calls for a worldwide investigation into the subject and  questions US secrecy. The report was not mentioned at all by the U.S. media and was only found on Michael Lindemanns website "CNI", a UFO news site. France has a joint military - civilian agency set up for UFO inquiries. The only other country on earth that has this is Chile. There has been a huge increase of UFO sightings there over the past 5 years.
