TOPIC: VICTORY
I took this dream personally because I had been nearly blind for almost two
years, with very poor vision before that, and three weeks
ago, I had cataract surgery to remove the old lens in my left eye and replace it
with a new one.
It was only an 8 minute surgery but it was life-changing and so overwhelming
to be able to see again when the day before I could hardly
find my way around inside my own home, couldn't cook for myself safely, and
going outside into the sunshine was impossible because
Light blinded me.
Today, the eye doctor gave me the all clear to go out and dig in the dirt to
my heart's content, and go ahead and get the cobwebs down
off the ceilings and walls that I couldn't see while I was nearly blind.
Last week, I cleaned out the refrigerator for the first time in two years. You don't even want to hear about that event. :-)
Several days ago, I went to ebay.com in a desperate attempt to find some
seeds I could grow in my greenhouse or in the kitchen window
during the winter, as food seeds don't normally get sown until January or later
depending on the area one lives in. The first of the seeds
arrived yesterday, and I can hardly wait to plant them.
Here is today's dream:
9-14-12 - SHORT NAP DREAM
I was in a room with another woman whom I can't identify.
I had planted hundreds of 4" pots of dirt with seeds for flowers and trees. The floor was covered with them.
I wanted to telephone a woman I called "Mrs. Victor" . I dialed the
number and when I didn't get an answer, I placed the pale yellow telephone
on
top of several of the seeded pots.
Just then the telephone rang and I said to the other woman, "I'll bet she's going to say she's Mrs. Victor."
I answered the phone with a simple "Hello!" and the woman on the other end of the telephone said, "This is Mrs. Victor."
and I promptly woke up.
NOTE: As usual, when I ask Joe Mason for his ideas on dreams, he always
goes to the Tree of Life to explain what he thinks about them, and
in this case, there is a sphere on the Tree of Life called VICTORY.
How fitting that is personally and according to the Tree of Life, which I've
written about numerous times, especially since I've been writing
about the Book of Revelation. That entire book, with a compilation of
explanations in 12 languages will be published for free on the internet.
Don't look for it any time soon however. It's a lot of work and each page
(each verse) has a lot of interpretations to compile. It's fun but
very time consuming.
HERE IS THE YELLOW TELEPHONE RELATED TO THE TREE OF LIFE:
I created the image above and the three images below to
illustrate the relation between the Tree of Life and the chakra system --
The Tree on the left has the ten spheres (sephiroth) numbered in the traditional Kabbalistic tradition. The Tree on the right has the spheres numbered to show the chakra relationship. The central image shows the chakra colors and the spheres and pathways related. Note that chakras 3, 5, and 6 are shaped like dumbbells, each formed by spheres on the right and left Pillars connected by a pathway. The category of crop formations known as "Dumbbells" may be related to the Tree chakra dumbbells.

The Tree of Life is the main glyph of the Qabalists. It is a compendium of the sciences and the mysteries. It has been called the "Rosetta Stone of the mysteries". The Rosetta Stone was engraved with Egyptian hieroglyphics (then indecipherable) plus two known languages, demotic (the common language of Egypt) and Greek (the language of the Egyptian rulers at that time). The translation of hieroglyphics into two known languages led to the deciphering of the language of hieroglyphics. Like the Rosetta Stone, the Tree of Life allows us to compare all the various mystery teachings and interrelate them meaningfully.
The Tree of Life is not only useful for understanding
mystery teachings. In its symbolic structure and relationship of its parts, it
illustrates all possible combinations of the nature of the universe. All
philosophy, religion, science and every other matter conceivable has its place
upon the tree. Learning the significance of the Tree of Life provides the mind
of the student with a sorting system for organizing all knowledge and experience
and reveals the relation of each part to the others. It is the most effective
system for meaningfully sorting all possible data that I have encountered.
The Tree of Life consists of ten spheres (sephiroth) connected by twenty-two
pathways. Its structure is based upon the "seed of life" and the "flower of
life" figures. There are three vertical pillars. As you look at the tree, to the
right is the pillar of mercy. To the left is the pillar of severity. The central
one is the pillar of mildness or equilibrium.
The Tree as depicted in diagrams is the objective tree, which represents the
universe or macrocosm. However, when
working subjectively with the tree, one "backs into" it. When the Tree of
Life represents the individual microcosm, the tree is reversed. Then Binah is to
the right of the head.
Before a more detailed inspection of each sphere of the Tree
of Life, let’s take a swift journey from the top to the bottom. This is in good
accordance with mystery school practice. The Tree reveals itself through
associations between its various parts. Spending too much time in one spot
prevents the gathering of impressions and perspectives so necessary to a working
understanding.
Although the whole tree of life comes into existence at once, each numbered
sphere follows the former and precedes the next in a logical sequence. Since
human experience occurs within time, this logical sequence will be described as
a temporal sequence, i.e. sphere one is created first. Then out of the
"overflow" of number one, number two comes into existence, etc.
Before anything exists, the universe is in a state of slumber. All is like a sea
of negative light, infinitely deep and wide with no surface. Then mysteriously,
the Source awakens and decides where something will happen. The negative light
swirls in upon itself toward that first stage. Nothing yet exists, but movement
within darkness toward a centre creates the first sephirah (the plural is
sephiroth; sphere) Kether, the Crown, also known as "the beginning of the
whirlings.
In Kether, Source awakens, but does not yet know itself. There is no other from
which to view itself. Then it emanates the first other, Chokmah - Wisdom. This
is the Divine Father principle of life itself. Chokmah radiates joyfully outward
in all directions. Chokmah then overflows to form Binah, Understanding, the
Divine Mother principle of form. Binah pulls the freedom of Chokmah's light into
limitation. Binah is the sphere of Saturn, the principle of manifestation.
Chokmah is like gasoline burning on the ground, radiating energy but performing
no useful
work. Binah is like a motor – heavy and inert – but capable of putting the
fiery energy of Chokmah to work.
These three form the supernal triad.
Next comes Chesed, Mercy. This is the sphere of Jupiter, the "great benefic"
of astrology. Jupiter is like a rich uncle who helps finance your dreams to come
true. Jupiter assists, expands, grows, and increases all.
But unlimited expansion would deplete so next comes Geburah, Severity, the
sphere of Mars. Chesed lets everything grow. Geburah prunes and cuts away
unwanted parts to make room for the chosen fruit to grow. These two, Mercy and
Severity, balance each other’s activity. They can be be likened to the up and
down motions of pistons in an engine.
Completing a circle defined by the first five sephiroth, next comes Tiphareth,
Beauty. Tiphareth is the sphere of the Sun and the son. Tiphareth stands in the
centre of the Tree of Life between Source above and the physical world in
Malkuth below. Tiphareth is the image-making power. In Tiphareth are the perfect
images of what can be in the worlds below. To Tiphareth are ascribed all heroes
and saviours – those with one parent in Heaven and one on earth. These three,
Chesed, Geburah and Tiphareth form the triad of the higher mind.
Next comes Netzach, Victory. Netzach is the sphere of Venus. This is the
realm of desire. Desires are a promise from above. They are images of what can
be. Balancing Netzach across the tree is Hod, Splendour, the sphere of Mercury.
Venus represents your feelings. Hod is your thoughts. These two make also make a
balancing pair. Before you act, you think about what you should do and compare
this with what you feel you want to do.
Then comes Yesod, the Foundation, the sphere of the Moon. This is the shadowy
world of the unconscious from whence dreams arise. We visit this world when we
sleep and dream. It contains the collected thought-forms of humanity. As you can
imagine, this is pretty much of a mess. It’s the astral plane where images are
transformed into blueprints before taking on form. These three: Netzach, Hod and
Yesod form the triad of the personality.
Finally, the last emanation on the Tree of Life is Malkuth, the Kingdom. This
is our physical world in both its substantial and subtle aspects.
As you see, the Qabalists believe that the physical world is generated by the
descent of light and life from previous worlds, metaphorically above. Note that
the worlds do not extend actually above one another like stories of a building.
Although they come sequentially into existence, they all exist in the same space
just as your mind, emotions and body exist in the same space. Each may be
considered to be on a different wavelength or in a different dimension but
simultaneously present in the same place. Another analogy would be a television
screen that shows different pictures when the channel is changed to a different
broadcast wavelength. It’s all here. It’s just a matter of which world you are
tuned into.
Creation or the involution of consciousness occurs from top to bottom,
following the numeration of the sephiroth. Evolution from physical back to
spiritual goes in precisely the opposite direction, from bottom to top of the
tree. Thus the individual soul goes down the tree into the worlds of form and
then evolves back up the tree, like a salmon returning to spawn in its place of
birth.
Let’s travel back up the tree together. Through many incarnations, the
individual human soul gradually awakens from selfish concerns and longs for an
end to the pain and suffering. Like the adult salmon, the human longs to go home
to Source. But how does it do that? The Tree of Life provides an excellent road
map for the journey.
There are two basic paths. One is straight up the middle pillar from Malkuth
(body consciousness) through Yesod (subconscious-astral visions) through
Tiphareth (pure feeling devoid of images) and through the longest path between
any of the sephiroth back into the light of Kether. The central pillar in
concerned with consciousness. This "path of the arrow" is the path chosen
by the Eastern mysteries. The ascetic yogi seeks to retreat from this physical
world and enter the light as fast and directly as possible. Such a swift path
generally requires that the chela (Eastern student of spirituality) find a
capable master, follow his instructions implicitly, move away from active life
into seclusion, eat a vegetarian diet, and do little else beside his sadhana
(spiritual path and practices).
As few Westerners are capable of fulfilling all these requirements, it is
generally better for Western people to follow the path of the Western mysteries.
In the West, it is our dharma (life path) to conquer the physical world and to
bring Heaven to earth. The visions of truth, honesty, purity, beauty, altruism
and the like that one receives on the path – all these the Westerner wishes to
live here on earth. To do so, it is necessary to master the various powers of
consciousness represented by the right and left pillars of the Tree of Life. The
Western path is to travel back up the Tree of Life through each of the sephiroth
in reverse order, following the path of the flaming sword. No phase can be
skipped.
Joe Mason contributed this image with explanation:
The 777 Flaming Sword - The Lightning Flash of Creation
Aleister Crowley derived the number 777 by summing the numbers assigned to certain paths of the Tree of Life. This is the Flaming Sword or Lightning Flash of Creation, which starts at Kether (Sphere 1) at the top of the Tree, and zigzags through the Tree down to Malkuth (Sphere 10) at the bottom.
The above illustration is somewhat different than Crowley's system, which he changed from this more standard model. Crowley's numbers are in the two columns on the right side. I gathered them from this page.
The Flaming Sword runs along or crosses nine paths, which sum to 777 as figured from thenumerical value of the Hebrew letters assigned to those paths. The associated card numbers of theTarot trumps sum to 93. Remember that 93 is the number of Thelema (True Will) and Agape (Love) and Fight 93 crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001. Also interesting, the two airliners that struck the Twin Towers were Fight 11 and Flight 175, which add to 186, or twice 93. Flight 77 struck the Pentagon.
An idea expressed on the Flaming Sword 777 page is that we spiritual entities are a 666 beast while incarnated on the earth, but as only-begotten children of our previous incarnations, we are 777.
The number 777 also represents spiritual consciousness in a physical human being -- the incarnation of spirit. The Tree of Life can be seen as a representation of the human body and as a map of consciousness. Solomon's Temple and the Tabernacle have been interpreted in the same way.
The Flaming Sword represents movement down the Tree of Life from the top. The counterpart is the Serpent of Wisdom, which represents movement from the bottom of the Tree to the top. In Crowley's system, this symbolizes the ordeals of initiation. We experience cycles of this falling and climbing. The idea seems similar to the rise of the Kundalini in eastern religions -- perhaps indicated by certain crop circle formations.
Crowley also associated 777 with the addition of 359 and 418, representing the Spirit (Horus and cycles) and the body, temple or house, on the material plane.
Once again, this symbolism fits very well with the events of 9-11. Think of the Tower Tarot card as the tall building struck by lightning and set on fire -- and compare the imagery to the two airliners striking the Twin Towers, setting them on fire.
In Genesis, a Cherub with a Flaming Sword was placed at the East Gate of Eden, after Adam and Eve were banished, in order to prevent humans from re-entering Paradise and eating the fruit of the Tree of Life, and thereby living forever (Genesis 3:24 and 3:22).
There is a portion of our 1997 article about the Tree of Life crop circle formation that seems a bit uncanny now. Included was a section quoting an article written in 1993 by Mark Styles. He suggested that the 1991 Barbury Castle triangular crop formation represented the lower part of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life (which appeared as a formation six years later).
Mark's idea was that the ratchet spiral is to be positioned at the bottom, representing Sphere 10 of the Tree, Malkut --
The upper left circle, with a rod like a tuning fork, is Sphere 8, Hod, also known as Reverberation. The upper right circle is Sphere 7, Netzach, also known as Eternity -- a "spiral of time/wheel of fortune." The central circle with rings represents Sphere 9, Yesod, Foundation. It is the final messenger of divine eminence to the earthly plane, and is reverberating like a raindrop in a pond. Mark concludes --
And so, four years after Mark's article was published, the Tree of Life appeared as a crop formation with a 777 map coordinate, and eight years later the 9-11 events took place with an apparent 777 type message, matching the symbolism of the Lightning Flash of Creation or Flaming Sword through the Tree of Life.
Around 23 August 1999, a possible flaming sword type crop formation appeared at Avebury Trusloe, near Avebury Wiltshire --

Having chosen the Western path, the aspirant (one who aspires
to knowing and being the divine) begins in Malkuth, the physical world and body
consciousness. Here we begin with the work of purification. Attention must be
given to be sure that the body has the raw materials it needs. These are food
(proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, trace elements),
water (pure and fresh), air and light. The body needs enough movement to sweat
regularly and needs to be cleansed regularly. The powers of bathing, sitting
before a fire and sunbathing are not to be underestimated. Slothful habits need
to be overcome and replaced with habits that lead you to your chosen goal.
Mastery of the physical conditions of life also includes arranging for adequate
income through worthy activities of a positive nature.
Next, the aspirant needs to cleanse the subconscious. Yesod contains all the
collective thought-forms of humanity. All the urges, fantasy images and strong
emotions of all humanity – all the ways humanity has treated one another – all
this is in Yesod. When you function consciously in Yesod, your awareness in on
the level of astral psychism. Without the higher awareness of Tiphareth, this is
a dangerous state. You can easily be swayed by the errors and rampant evil in
the mass-mind. Your intuitions are prone to be biased by any unresolved problems
in your personal nature. Reviewing personal history, recapitulation, honesty,
attention to dreams and fantasies, practicing "no distraction", meditation...
these are among the activities required for cleansing the level of Yesod, the
Foundation.
Then comes Hod, Splendour - the intellect. Right use of mind requires seeking
reality, truth by actively looking beyond the superficial appearances. What do
you think about? With what do you busy your mind? Will these thoughts lead you
to your chosen goal? Discipline your mind to attend to thoughts that empower
you.
Across from and balancing Hod is Netzach, Victory. Victory is the sephirah of
the desire nature. What do you desire? What do you say out loud with power? The
most powerful utterance of most people, that which the say with the most intense
emotion is the word, "shit!" If that is what you utter with power, and you are a
powerful creator, is it any wonder that you life stinks? Here there is much
cleansing and clearing to do, much discipline to exert. Be vigilant to only
think, say and do that which affirms your highest aspirations. Cultivate intense
desires. They are the "rocket fuel" for the spiritual path. And choose that
which you desire with great precision.
These first four form the personality and body. This is about as much as most
people are aware of in their lives. Symbolically above this level is the gold of
enlightenment, the sun, the Son, the redeemer – Tiphareth, Beauty. When the
personality first perceives the Self in Tiphareth, it appears as the Holy
Guardian Angel. From the level of personality, it looks like God, but it is your
Higher Self – a deeper level of your own selfhood. For the first time, here in
Tiphareth the aspirant experiences pure intuitive feeling awareness, free from
the images of Yesod. When you become fully aware on this level, the Higher Self
incarnates into the personality. Functioning consciously in this level, you are
a "lesser adept".
Next in Geburah, Severity, you have the lessons of power to learn. Just being
meek won’t yield success. Power must be wielded. Limitations and blockages must
be removed. Evil must be fought. The outdated must be eliminated. Another name
for Geburah is Deen, Justice. Learning to wield power wisely in the service of
the light is the lesson of Geburah. Mastery of this sphere bestows upon you the
title of "greater adept".
In Chesed, Mercy, you learn to balance the martial destructive forces of Geburah
with gentleness. However, the gentleness or mercy of Chesed is not weakness, but
rather the nurturing and magnifying of that which is deemed worthy. When you
have learned to function consciously on the level of Chesed, you are a "exempt
adept", exempt from the necessity of further incarnation.
Beyond this triad of the higher mind is the great abyss. The personal
consciousness cannot cross the abyss. Personal concerns have to be relinquished.
Only love and desire to serve can prepare you for this definitive journey to the
three "supernals".
In Binah, Understanding, you become identified with the mother of all life. Your
friends and students are like plants in your garden. You feel their joys and
pain, even when far distant from them. All of humanity and all of life are your
children. Your great heart is a blessing to all. On this level, you are a
"master of the temple".
In Chokmah, Wisdom, you experience the level of being the cosmic father
principle. Your radiance enlightens. You communicate with your students inwardly
by telepathy. In your endeavours you administer cosmic law. This is the level of
the "master of wisdom". Saint Germain functions from this level.
The initiate of Kether, the Crown, experiences the "one without a second". This
is the level of unity consciousness. Here you are Ipssimus, "he who is most
himself". Not much can be said intelligibly about this state of consciousness.
Here one unites with the highest principle of deity.
Such is the journey before us, back home to Source.

There is much more to learn about the Tree of Life on that site.
HERE ARE MANY MORE PICTURES OF THE TREE OF LIFE FROM OUR WEBSITE:
This is my favorite vision of the Tree of Life that I was
gifted with one morning when I was meditating.
What is so special about this one is that it is made of LIVING and MOVING LIGHT
When I saw this Tree of Life, it was so overwhelming that I cried to be gifted with that vision.

Introduction
Two very significant crop circle formations appeared at Barbury Castle in May 1997. They seemed to reveal extremely important information. One of the formations was the Kabalistic Tree of Life.
The crop formation is pictured on the left, above. The depiction on the right is one version of the ancient Tree of Life. The Tree of Life, of course, is mentioned many times in the Bible, from the beginning of the Book of Genesis to last part of the Book of Revelation. One who eats from this Tree, according to the Bible, is given "eternal life." The above diagram of the Tree of Life is part of an ancient tradition called "Kabala." Other spellings of the word include, kabbala, cabala, cabbala, quabala, and qabbalah. This is generally known as a special Hebrew tradition, the occult philosophy of certain Jewish rabbis, especially in the Middle Ages, based on a mystical interpretation of the Scriptures. Many scholars believe that the tradition is much older; that it traces back to the ancient Egyptians and Sumerians.
Connections to Ancient Sumeria
Over one hundred years ago, clay tablets were found in present day Iraq. They were artifacts with Cuneiform writings and pictographic carvings, left by the ancient people of that region. The Assyrian and Babylonian empires were located in that area long ago, but an even more ancient one preceded them, called Sumer, which in the Bible is called "Land of Shine'ar." According to scholar, Zecharia Sitchin, in Divine Encounters (page 7) -
Sumer (the biblical Shine'ar) was the land where the first known and fully documented civilization sprang up after the Deluge, appearing suddenly and all at once some six thousand years ago.
Some of
the pictographic carvings have depictions similar to the Kabalistic Tree of
Life. The oldest story in history, '
The Epic of Gilgamesh, was also found. Gilgamesh was a king, who was
part god. He traveled to a far place, looking for the plant or tree that gave
eternal life.
The Meaning of the Tree of Life
The Kabalistic Tree is sometimes called The Sephirotic Tree of Life. The circles or spheres are called sephiroth. A single circle or sphere is called a sephira. The teachings about the Kabalistic Tree of Life are very deep and complex. The ten spheres and 22 paths of The Tree generally represent the nature of the forces behind Creation on all levels, from microscopic to macrocosmic. The Tarot Cards are also associated with The Tree.
The Related 1997 Crop Formation
Another formation appeared nearby that may be related. It was similar to a number of other crop formations that have appeared in recent years. The design is based on a ring of six interlocking circles. In the formation that appeared with the Tree of Life, the plants were laid down in a manner that formed a pinwheel-like design, with six crescent moon-like shapes. A similar design with just three crescents later appeared at another location. One person had a dream with ten crescents arranged in a similar manner.
Both formations appeared in a type of crop known as oilseed rape, also known as canola. It is said that hoaxed formations are impossible to make convincingly in this type of plant, because it has a consistency like celery. When the stalks are bent more than about 45 degrees, they snap into. In a "real" formation, the plants are often bent flat to the ground at 90 degrees. This is one of a number of reasons that most serious crop circle researchers feel that the patterns are being created by a highly intelligent, non-human source.
Some researchers said that the Tree of Life crop formation was suspect because the plants were not as neatly laid down as in other formations, and two of the pathways were kinked. Others argued that the kinked pathways may have been part of the message. The great Barbury Castle triangle / tetrahedron of 1991 also had a bent pathway, and the central circle and rings were offset from center, yet most researchers believe it was one of the most significant "real" crop formations.
Two Related 1991 Crop Formations
In retrospect, a very astute observation was put forward in an article by crop circle researcher, Mark Styles. He pointed out that the 1991 Barbury Castle triangular crop circle formation was very similar to the lower triad of the Kabalistic Tree of Life.
He presented an equally astute theory in the article regarding the Mandelbrot Set crop circle formation which also appeared in 1991, on August 11. He showed that the Mandelbrot Set formation is similar to the Kabalistic Tree of Life, except for the top circle, which is Keter, the Crown, the One Source is "missing." He suggested that this may mean that "Keter is moving into Daat."
Daat is said to be a secret, hidden, eleventh sephira. It is depicted as a circle formed by dashed lines below the main triad of three circles at the top. It is said to be the secret of the transition of Binah, the upper-left sephira corresponding to the Mother aspect of the Godhead, from the Dark Sterile Mother (Ama) to the Bright Fertile Mother (Aima), also know as Marah, the Great Sea. Marah is the root of Mary. It is the concept of a virgin becoming a mother by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The "hidden" sephira called Daat means "knowledge." The idea of moving into Daat, then, may indicate that God has or will move into a position to transmit new knowledge to mankind.
In this article, I will present the graphics and details of Mark's two theories above concerning the Tree of Life connections to the other two crop formations.
The 1999 Menorah Crop Circle Formation
Yet another formation now appears to be related. Near the end of May 1999, the Menorah crop circle formation appeared. Again, the location was near Barbury Castle and the plants were oilseed rape (canola). The eleven circles in the formation strongly suggest the Kabalistic Tree of Life, with the "hidden sephira," Daat, included.
Connection to the Belt of Orion
A group of German researchers made a convincing argument about the bent pathway in the triangular 1991 Barbury Castle formation. By deciphering a number of formations, they theorized that a message was being given about star patterns in the area of the sky known as the "Winter Hexagon." Further, a triangle was indicated in the stars of Orion, which are within the Winter Hexagon. The top of the triangle is located at the left-most star in Orion's Belt, known as Zeta Orionis. Another star is located near the edge of the imaginary triangle in the sky, and it is in the exact position of the bend or kink in the Barbury Castle triangular crop formation. The triangle in the sky is at an angle of 19.5 degrees.
I have experienced an amazing number of meaningful coincidences for some nine years. A coincidence happened concerning the above information around 1993, when I read a news story shortly after reading of the German group's research. The article reported that astronomers were baffled by some strange X-ray bursts coming from a major star in the heavens. They were coming from the left-most star in Orion's Belt, Zeta Orionis.
Connection to the Great Pyramids
The location of the star and the angle of the sky triangle are especially significant for a number of reasons. The research of Richard Hoagland, Robert Bauval, Adrian Gilbert, Graham Hancock, and others indicate that the three great pyramids at Giza represent the stars of Orion's Belt, and that the passageway from the King's chamber pointed to those stars. The stars represented the God, Osiris. The Queen's chamber passageway is thought to have pointed to the bright star, Sirius, representing the Goddess Isis.
Moon Landing Connections
Richard Hoagland discovered, incredibly, that all of the Apollo moon landings were precisely timed to the positions of the same stars. Either the Belt Stars of Orion or the Star Sirius were aligned with the horizon or at 19.5 degrees at the exact time of the landings. These facts are beyond accidental coincidence, Hoagland claims. It is unlikely that people working for NASA could plan such events so precisely. It seems that certain human events are influenced by a higher, other-dimensional intelligence.
The Mars Connection
Sacred Geometry and
Hyperdimensional Mathematics
The geometry and hyperdimensional mathematics found in the monuments on Mars , according to Hoagland and his associates, are related to the Giza Pyramids, to the ancient sites in England where most of the crop formations have been appearing, and to the Barbury Castle crop circle formation of 1991. One of the conclusions is that an energy exists within planetary spheres, including the sun and stars, by which they are created from another dimension. The energy inside the planetary spheres is shaped like two interlaced tetrahedrons. In a two-dimensional representation, this is like a Star of David inside a circle. One tetrahedron touches the surface of the planetary sphere at the north pole, and the other touches at the south pole. Three points of each tetrahedron touch the surface of the planetary sphere at 19.5 degrees north and south.
Alchemy and The Cycle of Time - Six Ages
In early 1997, my article, The Trinity Connection, was posted on the Pufori site. This is an excerpt concerning the 1991 Barbury Castle triangular crop formation:
I found another great connection in the quatrains of Nostradamus. It is in Century 4, Quatrains 28-33. This concerns the theories of alchemists about the sun (sulfur), the moon (salt), and Mercury (quicksilver). The glyphs on the corners of the triangle of Barbury are said to parallel these alchemical signs.
Their work involved the attempt to transmute elements, such as lead into gold, and finding a substance that gave eternal life. This became centered on cinnabar, the Hell Fire Stone, which is the ore of mercury, mercuric sulfide.
I believe it is symbolic of reaching the Trinity level of the Christ-Self, and eternal life. Nostradamus also said in C10, Q74 -
"The year of the great seventh number accomplished,
it will appear at the time of the games of slaughter,
not far from the age of the great millennium,
when the dead will come out of their graves."(this seems to be a metaphor about the death/rebirth of changing, transforming).
There were six steps on the ratchet/Mercury spiral of Barbury. The angle from the center of the triangle to the southwest corner was at 120 degrees. From that point to the center of the ratchet, it was 108 degrees, a mythical/Gematrian number. 120 is a tetrahedral point. 120 x 108 = 12,960, six raised to the fourth power times ten, and half the precession number. Divided by the six arcs, it is 2,160, six to the third times ten, and the number of years in one Zodiac Age.
There was an additional clue in the date the pattern appeared, July 17, 1991. Read Genesis 8:4, where the Ark landed on the 17th day of the 7th month. Blavatsky tells how the Patriarchs represent Zodiac signs. For example, Judah is Leo. In Genesis 49:9, he is called a lion's whelp, and he stoops down like a lion and lioness. (i. e., like a Sphinx). Noah is Pisces. These are strong clues that our Age is coming to an end, and Aquarius is near. (if not already begun). The Sphinx may well represent the same thing, that is, the Ages from Leo through Pisces, and the beginning of Aquarius.
About six months after I realized the number connection in Barbury, a man at work told me a dream. He was in an airliner driven on a highway by a water treatment plant operator named, Andy. There was a detour because of construction. Then, he was with his boss, an engineer, and a woman. They were planning to install a new transformer at the water treatment plant, under a grill. The woman whispered something into the engineer's ear.
This is a form of the Trinity, I have found a number of times in dreams. It is the Triple Male Trinity with the combined consorts as the single feminine Deity, or First Power. Together, the make they Perfect Four. The (real life) boss's name in this dream translates to "the guardian of knowledge).
I asked if the dreamer knew which highway he was on. He said, yes, it was the highway that runs from Oakdale (California, about 20 miles from his home), toward Yosemite. That section of highway is where highways 120 and 108 RUN TOGETHER!
The Egyptian Trinity and the 11:11 Doorway
Scholars have pointed out that the Egyptian figures are one of many symbols of the Trinity. In ancient myths and religions, the Trinity is said to be the Father and Mother engendering the Son, Man. Osiris, the Father, and Isis, the Mother, engender the Son, Horus. The birth of the falcon-headed Horus, is associated with the coming of a new age. For many years a woman known as Solara has been teaching about the opening of the "11:11 Doorway" in the Belt of Orion. In several of my other articles I reported some of the incredible dreams and coincidences concerning this symbolism, and how it is related to Revelation 11:11.
Debbie Pardoe has written a great article about the Sephirotic Tree of Life crop formation, showing that the kinks in the pathways, and other strange coincidences about the pattern, are quite meaningful, and are related to some of the concepts of Aleister Crowley concerning "the Advent of the New Aeon." I will tell of her writing, but first, a little background.
Background
Early in my dream-coincidence experiences in 1990, the "tree" symbol appeared in a number of forms. This includes the dreams of others as well as my own. After being directed to the Bible, which was not part of my beliefs at the time, I realized that the "tree" symbolism is there from beginning to end . . . from the two trees in the Garden of Eden, to the Tree of Life standing in the center of The New Jerusalem in Revelation.
In the Book of Daniel, king Nebuchadnezzar had a dream of a great tree that was cut and banded, causing a period of insanity for seven years. I had a coincidence, relating to the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, about this symbolism, that seemed to confirm a concept developed by a religious group. The seven years are prophetic years of 360 years each, for a total of 2,520 years. Calculated from the destruction of the Temple at Jerusalem, this indicates the year 1914 as the end of the period of insanity. A great world-wide stress began at that time with World War One. Several years later, I learned that 2,520, is part of a very ancient number code.
In early 1991, I was given, The Book of Knowledge, The Keys of Enoch. It was written by scientist, Dr. James J. Hurtak, after he was visited by the Light Being, Enoch, in 1973. The very first paragraph in the Prologue struck me as being quite meaningful:
Beloved - The Father's Limitless Light is being poured forth and our Tree of Life is being activated. Love from the highest levels is penetrating the planetary veils. From the higher worlds without limit or end, the emissaries of Light come in vast number to advance the foundations of life and refashion new worlds. They bring with them Light which is greater than a thousand suns to awaken our next stage of evolution and to assist in bringing us into a purer form of superluminal Light."
The book is full of Kabalistic terms. Kabalism is very ancient and pre-Christian. It is an esoteric Jewish tradition. Dr. Hurtak's book explains Kabballah and the Sephiroth in new ways. With Sacred Names the Sephiroth = Tree of Life. He also speaks of triads and Trinities, saying that we will become Trinitized Powers. Orion, called in Hebrew, "Kesil," is referenced to Job 38:31, and is said to be the Central Control for all the higher programs of development connected with the astro-chemical networks and reprogramming life synthesis in our universe. Orion will emanate the "gnosis" (knowledge) as the world transformation takes place.
Pages 35 and 36 of the book have photographs of pyramidal formations on Mars taken by Mariner 9 in 1971. Enoch told Dr. Hurtak that these are part of a grid network in our solar system. The earth also has a grid. There will be a grid shift and alignment between the two grids, as the earth changes unfold. This will happen when the earth enters an electromagnetic null zone.
In 1992, I read the articles in the crop circle journals about the Kabalistic Tree of Life connections to the 1991 Barbury Castle triangular formation, and to the Mandelbrot Set Crop formation. A dream of a young man seemed to confirm the "Keter moving into Daat" interpretation of the Mandelbrot Set formation. The details of this will follow.
My series of articles, Humanity On The Pollen Path, explain how various dreams and coincidences relate to Revelation 11:11, and indicate that the Great Change concerns a leap to the Heart chakra level of consciousness evolution by humanity en masse.
There is a connection to the idea of the "Virgin Birth." Joseph Campbell, the great mythologist, said that it is the birth of the spiritual man born out of the animal man, that occurs at the Heart chakra level. The lower two chakras are associated with survival and procreation instincts. The third chakra, at the solar plexus, is said to be related to the will to succeed. In its negative aspect, it can be a will to dominate and turn everyone and everything into agreement or subservience to the self. The Heart chakra is the human/spiritual level of love and compassion.
Around 1993, I started corresponding with Geoffrey Farthing, the secretary of the Blavatsky Trust in England. I had found an amazing number of connections in H.P. Blavatsky's, Isis Unveiled, volume 2. I explained to Geoffrey that dreams and crop formations seemed to be related to Blavatsky's concepts, and that a Great Change seemed to be near. He sent me his book, Deity, Cosmos and Man, which gives an outline of Esoteric Science, as presented in the vast works of H.P. Blavatsky.
On page 135 of the book, Geoffrey speaks of "The Builders," who build, or rather rebuild every "system" after the "Night." To quote:
The "Builders" are representatives of the first "Mind-Born" entities, therefore of the primeval Rishi-Prajapatis; also of the Seven great Gods of Egypt, of which Osiris is the chief; of the Seven Amshaspends of the Zoroastrians, with Ormazed as their head; or the "Seven Spirits of the Face"; the Seven Sephiroth separated from the first Triad, etc., etc.
Geoffrey also told me that Blavatsky associates the Sephirotic Tree of Life with everything else in her works, which involve myths and religions from around the world.
When the Sephirotic Tree of Life appeared in the crops in 1997, I felt that it was quite profound and meaningful. Unlike most of the crop formations, this pattern is well known; there is no question about what it is. As with other formations, there is some doubt as to whether the formation was a man-made hoax, or a "real" formation created by a non-human source. If it was man-made, then it is of no great significance. But, if it was produced by a non-human source, then it has a huge magnitude of significance, in my view.
You can see from the background above, that I have reason to believe that the formation is "real." But, there are always those nagging doubts, which usually remain unresolved. Ahhhh . . . but then, Debbie Pardoe came through with shining brilliance.
Debbie Pardoe on "The Tree Of Life"
Debbie's article appeared in the "SC" #65, the monthly journal published by the Sussex branch of the Center of Crop Circle Studies, which I received on June 20, 1997. It starts with a quotation:
The Book of The Law presumes the existence of a body of initiates pledged to watch over the welfare of mankind and to communicate its own wisdom, little by little, in the measure of man's capacity to receive it.
ALEISTER CROWLEY
Debbie goes on to say that in 1904 Aleister Crowley proclaimed the Advent of the New Aeon. A discarnate intelligence, "Aiwaz," dictated the code for the coming age. The message for the New Aeon was -
Do What Thou Wilt Shall Be The Whole Of The Law.
Love is the Law, Love Under Will.
Follow your True Will.
This was taken by the existing Victorian society of the time to be evil. Aleister realized that the world was not ready for the ideas, saying that a time would come when the revelations in The Book of The Law would be understood. Debbie says that time is now.
The word for the New Aeon is Thelema, a Greek word meaning "True Will." The Greek system of Gematria involved assigning numbers to letters and words. Both Thelema and Aiwaz add to the number 93, the number of The New Aeon. The Greek word for love, "Agape," also adds to 93. Significantly, love indicates the nature of True Will.
(Note: A very good book about Greek Gematria is Jesus Christ, Sun of God, by David Fideler.)
Aleister first received the message related above 93 years prior to 1997, in April of 1904. The appearance of the Tree of Life crop formation, almost exactly 93 years later, cannot be a coincidence, Debbie says. She points out that the mean distance between the Earth and the Sun is 93 million miles, that 93 meters is the average diameter of Stonehenge (the bank/ditch), and that 93 was indicated in the "DNA" crop formation of 1996. The formation, which had a double-helix design, had 89 total circles, but four of them were overlapped, indicating 93. This was pointed out last year in an "SC" article, and it was further noted that human DNA is associated with the number 93.
(Note: In January 1996, I wrote a long letter to Barry Reynolds, assistant editor of SC. I spoke of Gematrian numbers, not of the Greek variety, but much more ancient. I enclosed a letter of mine that was published in Carl Munck's "The Code" newsletter, where I specifically mentioned the number 648. I also informed Barry of my friend Jeff's dream of a spiral staircase with maintenance mechanics on each rung with their toolboxes. I suggested that the dream seemed to confirm the "DNA repair" theory spoken of by the Mayan Daykeeper, Hunbatz Men. The "DNA" crop formation appeared the following summer, and it was 648 feet in length.)
Part of Aleister's work involved assimilating mystical teachings from many cultures. These were put into a volume of tables titled, "777." The key to the system was the Quabalistic diagram known as The Tree of Life. It is said to be like a blueprint of creation that is essential to understanding the occult correspondences given in 777.
Debbie said "Qabalah" is correctly spelt with a "Q," (rather than with a "K") and is a Hebrew word meaning "to receive" (i.e. knowledge). Greek Gematria gives the word the number 137. (spelt backwards - HLBQ - H=5, L=30, B=2, Q=100). The Hebrew word for "wheel" also adds to 137.
The two crop formations that appeared at Barbury Castle early in the summer of 1997 had "coincidental" connections to the concepts of Aleister Crowley. The "Wheel"-like formation was located at grid reference SU 157 777, and the Tree of Life at SU 170 777.
Debbie says that the Tree of Life is like a map defining Creation and the origins of Spirituality. There are ten Sephiroth/spheres of existence and 22 connecting pathways. The Hebrew alphabet has 22 letters.
(Note: In The Book of Knowledge, The Keys of Enoch, Dr. Hurtak explained that the 22 Hebrew letters, which are called, "Fire Letters," are used as a code in creation. I had one of my strange coincidences about this. My most important day of dreams was on October 18, 1990. While visiting relatives in 1991, I read an article about the great leap of Bob Beamon in the 1968 Olympic games. Some strange dreams and coincidences in 1990 had caused me to speculate that the leap was a symbolic event related to the moon landing in 1969, and the words, "One giant leap for mankind." The article pointed out that the great leap of Bob Beamon took place on October 18, 1968. I realized that was exactly 22 years prior to the date of my most important dreams. By then, I had read about the 22 Hebrew "Fire Letters." When I arrived back home, I found that an accident had happened. A fire started on my desk as a result of kids playing with matches. My son put out the fire, before it caused much damage. Only parts of envelopes containing correspondence were burned a bit aground the edges. It struck me as coincidental because one could say that they were "Fire Letters!")
Debbie goes on to explain that there are also 22 Tarot cards that make up the Major Arcana. Each is assigned to a path on the Tree. The spheres/sephiroth on the left side of the Tree are feminine and those on the right are masculine. The ones in the middle row indicate a balance of the duality attributes. Two of the sephiroth on the sides are called HOD and NETZACH, representing Mercury and Venus, or the Head and the Heart, or the Intellect and Emotions. The lateral path joining the two is represented by the Tarot card known as The Tower. This card depicts people falling from a tower and being struck by lightning.
Debbie suggests that this may be related to Aleister Crowley's "True Will." When a person follows his or her True Will, it feels right in both the heart and head.
She astutely points out that the New Aeon is Aquarius, which symbolizes a rebirth of the human spirit, where water, or Divine Wisdom, is poured out freely for all mankind.
(Note: The "water" symbolism appears frequently in dreams.)
Debbie mentions that at a meeting, Barry Renolds pointed out that two of the paths in the Tree of Life crop formation were kinked, and that the two paths correspond to Paths 15 and 28 on the Tree of Life. Tarot card number XVII, The Star, is on Path 15, and card IV, The Emperor, is on Path 28. Card 0, The Fool, is on Path 11, card I, The Magician, is on Path 12, card II, The Priestess on Path 13, and card III, The Empress on Path 14. It follows that card IV, The Emperor should be on Path 15, but Aleister Crowley chose to swap the correspondences of Paths 15 and 28, which just happen to be the two Pathways that were kinked in the crop formation!
Debbie concludes, "Coincidence? I think not."
Numbers, Stars, and Chakras
Just for the record, I want to include a few ideas that came my way, that may be related. I have found often over the years that the symbolic messages that appear in dreams and coincidences later appear in other forms, such as crop formations. For this reason, I expect certain patterns to appear, such as the eight-pointed star.
32, 128, and the Eight-Pointed Star
Another number associated with the Tree of Life is 32, which combines the ten Sephiroth and the 22 Paths. I had some coincidences with the number 32. It's another long story, but part of it involved the eight-pointed star. It is related to a number of symbols, including those associated with Horus, Bel Marduk, Kin, and Apollo. The first two are sons of Trinities. The star is also related to Navaho sand paintings with four couples around a square, and to the eight people aboard Noah's Ark. It represents humanity bonded in Union in the future. The star is also formed by eight heart-shapes put together, which I call the Unity of Hearts.
A crop formation did appear that had a cross-shape with a heart at each end. Also, at least two single heart shapes have appeared as crop formations. The symbolism may be related to the word, "concord," which means "hearts together." An example could have been the sphere of light that flew by the Concord airliner during its first flight. These symbols are especially important to me, because of my primary theory about the Great Change being a leap to the Heart chakra level of consciousness evolution by humanity en masse.
The eight-pointed star, in my theory, represents a pair from each quarter, and the pairs are single humans with the dual aspects. Each point of the star has the number 16, and each pair has 32, for a total of 128 for the entire star. The number 128 has been part of many incredible coincidences. When it is multiplied by nine, the total is 1,152, a Gematrian number, meaning "Witness." It can be derived from the cycle of time number, 432, as 4 x 32 = 128.
One form of the star is found in quilting designs. Using four colors, there are a total of 128 diamond shapes in the pattern, 16 in each section. The quilting design is called, The Lone Star, The Texas Star, or The Bethlehem Star.
The order of the Masons also have a 32nd degree level.
The Book of Knowledge, The Keys of Enoch, also mentions the number 32 on page 233, as the number of times the Divine Name is employed the in the creation story at the beginning of Genesis in The Torah. This represents the 32 paths by means of which "Hokhmah" becomes manifest. Through the 32 paths, the soul is clothed into the physical body. The unification of 32 chemical building blocks in a human being are involved with receiving the "Lak Boymer" (33rd degree), the Pillar of Light. Also involved are the 22 letters of the Divine signature, and this is said to be related to Exodus 33:22.
Further, it is said that this is why Jesus manifested the Christ in his 33rd year.
A coincidence happened concerning this in 1991. I received a letter from my nephew, David, telling of his recurring dreams of a shaft of light coming up from the ground. People were stepping into it. In his last dream, he was alone, standing naked before the shaft of light. He received the message, "Step into the light." Shortly after reading David's letter, the coincidence happened. On my way to work, I found a newsletter in the mailbox from John Price, called, "The Quartus Report." I took it to work with me. At break time, I had the unusual urge to read the letters to the editor first. One of the letters told of a meditation where a Pillar of Light was seen, and the message was given, "Step into the Light." It was shortly after this that I found the above passage in The Book of Knowledge, The Keys of Enoch.
Flower and Star Symbols
The Wheel-like crop formation would seem to fit with TIPHARETH on the Tree of Life. This sephira is assigned the number six, and from its central location in the Tree, there are eight paths connecting to the other Sephiroth.
I drew some similar shapes on that special day of October 18, 1990. The one with six parts, with a six-petal daisy-like flower inside was like a closed aperture, like those on a camera. The North Sun symbol on the 1991 Barbury Castle formation is similar. In another dream-coincidence, the aperture opened, and the Seventh Ray came in, causing every particle of creation to change. In 1996, a similar crop formation appeared next to Silbury Hill, that may have a similar symbolism.
The perimeter circles in the 1996 formation had a smaller radius than the primary circle, which resulted in a Star Of David-like design appearing in the center. This has a similarity to the glyph for the Heart chakra, which has a twelve-petal Lotus flower, with a Star Of David inside.
The Chakra Connection
Prior to the appearance of the Tree of Life crop circle formation, I received a three-part e-mail from Ashley Rye about The Tree of Life, which I found quite informative. The following is a paste from the writing:
The second Triad is formed by the fourth, fifth, and sixth sephiroth: Chesed (Mercy), Geburah (Judgment), and Tiphareth (Beauty). The union between the Supernal Mother and the Supernal Father by means of Daat gave birth to Mercy, which is also called Love. Thus we see how on the archetypal planes the union of the male and female principles gives rise to that which on the material plane is the most sublime feeling man can experience. Mercy emanates Judgment, which is also known as Strength. Chesed or Mercy is, as we have seen, also a Father image, while Geburah is a Mother image, strong and severe. From this "Strong Love" that is the union of Chesed and Geburah is born Tiphareth or Beauty, the sixth sephira, which is also known as The Son, and has the image of a child as one of its symbols. Tiphareth is situated in the Middle Pillar, directly underneath the sphere of Daat. We see therefore how through the realization that is Daat, the Supernal Mother, Binah, "gave birth" to Chesed, Mercy or Love, which then united with Geburah, Strength, to "give birth" to Tiphareth, The Son. This triad symbolizes the evolution of ideas con-ceived in the archetypal matrix of the Three Supernals.
Ashley's e-mail also suggested a "chakra" connection to the Tree of Life:
The three pillars of the Tree of Life are comparable to Ida, Sushumna, and Pingala of the Yoga system, where Sushumna is the channel of ascent of kundalini, placed between the male and female potencies of Ida and Pingala. The three pillars may be also likened to Yin and Yang, the female and male principles of Chinese philosophy, with Tao (the way) being analogous to the Middle Pillar.
Many crop circle formations may be related to the chakra system. See:
CROP CIRCLE FORMATIONS AS CHAKRAS
Back in 1992, when the "chakra" message first started with me, my friend, Pablo, made an observation that seems quite significant now. He suggested that the two olive trees that stand up after 3 1/2 days in Revelation 11:11 correspond to Ida and Pingala. In Zechariah 4, the two olive trees stand to the left and right of the golden lampstand with a bowl on top of it with seven lamps.
The "hidden" position of Daat is the fourth sphere/sephira from the bottom. This may fit with the idea of the Heart chakra level in terms of its position, and with Joseph Campbell's idea of the Virgin Birth happening at the Heart chakra level, the birth of the Spiritual Man out of the animal man (lower three).
Update
Note: This article was originally written in 1997, not long after the appearance of The Tree of Life crop circle formation. It was posted on the (now closed) Pufori site, and later on a Geocities page. I revised the article in June 1999, after the appearance of the Menorah crop circle formation. The Menorah is the golden lampstand with seven lamps. This connects directly with Revelation 11:11 via Zechariah 4, as mentioned above. The statement was included in the 1997 article, but I found and wrote about the concept in 1993. The crop formation was a somewhat unusual Menorah, as it seemed to suggest a connection between the lampstand and The Tree of Life. I feel that the Menorah crop circle formation is a strong confirmation of my nine year quest, which became centered on Revelation 11:11 in 1992.
Explanation of the Tree of
Life Connections
to the 1991 Barbury Triangle and
the Mandelbrot Set Crop Circle Formations
On September 27, 1993, I received The Circular, Volume 4:2, Issue 14, for September 1993. On pages 20-21 was an article by Mark Styles, titled, "Discovering the Reapers of the Field."
Figure 1 Figure 2
In the article, Mark suggested -
I think the Barbury Castle pictogram of 1991 (fig 1), combined with the Milk Hill glyphs of the same year (fig 2), gave a vital clue here: together they can be interpreted as forming the lower part of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life (fig 3).
Note: I am using my own graphics in this article, so they are slightly different than the ones in Mark's article. I have not included one of the figures, which depicted the spheres of the Tree without the paths. I have also adjusted the numbers of the figures, for clarity. Figure 2 is a diagram of a crop formation called, "The Milk Hill Multiple Agriglyph Inscription." The circle with ring, one on each end of the inscription, is a well known ancient glyph for the Creator or Monotheistic Deity. One of the interpretations of the inscription was that the letters spelled the names of two ancient gods:
PHEH~THI, PTAH (PER-TAH), the Egyptian creator god
and
EA~ECH~CHE, EA (EH-AH), the Sumerian god of Wisdom and lover of mankind.
(Ea was also called Enki)Therefore, the meaning was, "The Creator, wise and loving."
Dee has a few more details about the Milk Hill inscription in her article:
MY FATHER
COMES TO VISIT - A DREAM AND PROPHECY

Mark briefly explained the basic meaning of the Tree, and continued:
The earliest names for Kabbalists were "Those who Know" and "The Reapers of the Field".
The design of the Barbury Castle pictogram closely resembles the lower part of the Tree which deals more directly than the rest with the Earth (Malkuth). In the top left hand corner we see Reverberation (Hod), hence the rod protruding into the circle, indicative of a tuning fork. In the right hand corner we see Eternity (Kneza), hence the "spiral of time/ wheel of fortune". Below these two sephira lies Foundation (Yesod), Yesod is the final messenger of divine eminence to the earthly plane and we see this emanation occurring in the Barbury pictogram, reverberating like a raindrop in a pond. Finally at the bottom we have Kingdom or Earth (Malkuth). This is most ingenious of all: the divine emanation occurs in the form of a lightening flash, and here we see the spiral form of that flash resounding a powerful "Do" as it strikes Malkuth.
The connection mentioned above with the Milk Hill glyphs is that these strange looking letters recall Hebrew, although, in the tradition of texts of a religious or magical significance, they have been orientated in what could be called mirror imaging. The test represented in (fig 2) is written not in word form, but, I believe, using a numerical system of relationship known as Gematria, a contemplative method of study employed by Kabbalistic scholars.
Mark mentioned Benoit Mandelbrot's rediscovery in 1979 of the system of nature in mathematical terms. He continued:
It does not take a great deal of imagination to see how similar are the two images of natural systems represented here (figs 4a, b, & c).
Figure 4a Figure 4b Figure 4c Figure 4d
You may be thinking that the Mandelbrot Set does not contain the uppermost "Keter" part of the Tree - surely this is an important part of the cipher? Could not the reason for this be, as Kabbalistic teaching tells us, that "Daat" (Knowledge), the non-sephira, is the point where Keter (the divine will of God) can enter when the time is chosen to interfere with existence? It is quite possible that discovery of the Mandelbrot Set, in an attempt to recreate the order observed within the apparent chaos of nature's systems, has actually caused Keter to enter Daat and communication of the angelic kind to begin.
As we can see, once the Tree is in this interference mode, it resembles the Mandelbrot Set precisely (figs 4a, b, & c). The Mandelbrot Set could be described as demonstrating the order behind the apparent chaos of nature. The same is true of the Tree of Life, and that order is "God". Kabbalism tells us that we are all part of that supreme order and collectively are "God".
I added illustration 4d as another possibility.
Mark mentioned that the Tree is also the basis of man, then wrote a little about the "Mystical Marriage" -
During the season of 1992 we saw a whole new chapter unfold in this enigma. In late July 1992 I discovered a formation just outside Tewkesbury which combined the planetary glyphs of Mars and Venus. The hieroglyph therefore symbolically represented the "Chemical Wedding" of the Alchemist's final stage in the "Great Work" of Unification: the aim of achieving synthesis of dualities, in this case Animus and Spiritus (conscious/unconscious), leading to a Super-Conscious state of illumination, represented as the hermaphrodite.
Earlier in 1992 a strange formation, later known as the "Dodman" appeared in the shape of a Snail, one of nature's few true hermaphrodites. Could the enigmatic Silbury Hill nearby, hub of crop circle activity, hold a clue in its androgynous design? It is constructed on a layer of crushed snail shells and could be likened to a shell itself. On the 18th August the formation which occurred there (the "Charm Bracelet" or Dharmic Wheel) strongly resembles the eight phases of the moon. It is reasonable to see a solar eclipse, which unites Sun and Moon, with Earth as the androgynous progeny, as an expression of the "Chemical Wedding". Elias Ashmole in 1652 showed astrologically that the final operation of the "Great Work" takes place during a solar eclipse at 19 degrees Leo. Such an eclipse occurs on August 22nd [actually the 11th] 1999, and is visible from Southern England.
To conclude, the objective of all Hermetic studies, including both alchemy and Kabbalism, has always been to unite the microcosm of Man to the macrocosm of the Universe, or the "return to Eden," a doctrine which was instrumental in creating philosophy, science and religion. It now seems instrumental in creating crop circles.
Similar Dreams and Symbols
Mark had the date of the eclipse as August 22nd, but the solar eclipse of 1999 actually takes place on August 11th. It is expected coincidentally at 11:11 a.m. The Mandelbrot Set crop circle formation appeared on that date in 1991. Other major crop formations have also appeared on that date.
The concepts in Mark's article fit very well with my own "dream-coincidence" material, although I was not very familiar with Kabalism at the time. In mid 1992, I wrote an article for the Dream Network Journal, which was published later that year. I reported the dreams of various people indicating that a duality balance seemed to be a major message about the great earth change. In some cases, bicycles or motorcycles were part of the symbolism. I proposed that certain crop circle formations were similar in shape to a bicycle, and perhaps had the same meaning.
Cliff's Incredible Baseball Dream
Starting in 1990, I began to see symbolism in the American sport of baseball. I wrote about it in the Pollen Path articles (part six). Part of the symbolism involves the nine players and geometry of the bases and pitcher's mound, which are like a "quintuplet set" of crop circles. I had come to the theory that baseball was one of the symbols of the fourth - heart chakra level of consciousness evolution, the next step for mankind. Some months prior to reading Mark's article, around the middle of 1993, Cliff, a friend of my son, visited with us, and stayed for the night. In the morning, he came and told me about his incredible dream -
I was at a rowdy, drunken party and saw Danny O'Daniel, a boy I knew in school. My cousin came, and asked me to go play baseball. I left the party and went to find my baseball mitt. I opened the door of a parked car, to look for my mitt, but a man was setting in the driver's seat, and I saw no mitt. I ran some distance, and opened the door of another parked car. The same man was setting in the car! And, there was no mitt. I knew that I had to return to my home, to find my mitt, so I began walking toward home, which was across town.
Just before reaching home, a strange woman in a very strange car, came driving erratically down the street. The vehicle swerved back and forth, going up on the sidewalks. The car was very narrow, and had six single seats. The woman's skin was grayish, her eyes were bloodshot, and she wore blue jeans. She was otherwise quite attractive. She pulled a cord to honk the horn. She drove by me, saying that she had a tiff with her "old man" over her little girl.
I arrived home and the strange woman drove the strange vehicle into the driveway. Another car pulled up, and a man got out, shouting, "Street patrol!" He explained that the strange woman had taken the strange vehicle from a rich man's house, and they came to return it.
I walked toward my car, which was gray instead of its real color, red. As I approached, the car door opened, and a man got out. It was the same man who had been setting in the other two cars! I saw baseball mitts in the seat of the car. The man had been setting on them! I pushed him and said, "No wonder I couldn't find my mitt!"
There were three mitts on the seat . . . my old catcher's mitt, that had the leather of the webbing cut out, a blue mitt that did not belong to me, and my mitt, the one I had been looking for. I took my mitt from the car.
The man who had yelled, "Street patrol!" drove off in the long, strange car. The man who had sat on the mitts drove off in the "street patrol" man's car. The strange woman got into my car, stood up with her upper body protruding through the sun roof, and buckled the seat belt around her waist. I went off to play baseball.
The dream clearly showed the baseball symbolism as the fourth step, which is the heart chakra. The stages in the lower three chakra levels was symbolised by the three vehicles and mitts.
Part of the idea I got from the dream, was that we will be "catching" ideas. The pitcher stands on the mound, which is in the middle of the four bases. It is like a quintuplet set crop formation, and a pyramid as seen from above. The idea is that God, or His/Her messengers will be doing the "pitching."
As I read Mark's article several months later, I realized that Keter moving into Daat is a very similar idea, and that the position of Daat in the Tree is centered between four circles, as in a quintuplet set, or a baseball diamond. It seems significant too, that there are nine spheres on the Tree below Kether, and baseball has nine players and nine innings.
Because of these, and other connections, I felt that the Tree of Life is related to the chakra system. In the Pollen Path articles, I told the story of the amazing coincidence with the Sri Yantra that appeared grooved into a dry lake bed in Oregon. The Sri Yantra, in part, represents a path through the chakras in nine steps. The human body is said to have seven chakras, but in some systems there are more than seven, which can represent a realm "above" the earthly plane. Later, I read that some say the lower seven spheres of the Tree correspond to the chakras of the human being.
Thinking of the central Pillar of the Tree as chakras, Daat is the fourth from the bottom, and could correspond to the fourth heart chakra.
The Egyptian Scarab Beetle
I also wrote about the Mandelbrot Set in the Pollen Path articles (part five). I began to write about its symbolism thirteen months before the Mandelbrot Set crop formation appeared.
One of my speculations was that the Mandelbrot Set is similar to the scarab beetle, which was worshiped by the ancient Egyptians. In James Churchward's The Sacred Symbols of Mu, he states that the scarab was worshiped because it rolls a ball of mud around and plants its see therein, as the Creator rolls the earth around, with the cosmic seed of man upon it. My dream in 1990 regarding the "First Pictogram" indicated that single circles near a complex pattern with a pathway, can represent the earth or the earth plane. The Mandelbrot Set, as rendered on a computer, has a projection, along which is a bulge. Symbolically, this represented the earth plane in my theory.
When I later learned of the Egyptian scarab, I felt that it was similar to my theory about the Mandelbrot Set, with the "ball of mud/earth" projected from the body of the beetle. When I read Mark's article, I could see that The Tree of Life was also similar, with Malkut, the Earth, projected at the bottom. In the Mandelbrot Set crop circle formation, the projected "Earth" seemed to be symbolised by the single eight-foot circle that was some distance away, out along a tramline (the marks left by the farmer's tractor).
Interestingly, a scarab beetle-like crop formation appeared near the new Menorah crop circle formation.

DREAM - 10-4-05 - I was in a room with two children -a
boy and a girl - probably around 7 or 8 years old. I had a
notebook and we were going to list the tasks they planned to
accomplish. They told me what they planned and I wrote them
down in order - #1, #2, etc.
I wrote down #3 and the girl said, "I don't want to be
#3, I want to be #5"
I said, "They have to go in order and not skip numbers."
Then my husband (or a companion) who was sitting behind
my right shoulder, said #10 is HOD, 11 is GEH, and when he
said the words, a symbol appeared on the page in the
appropriate line.
I asked, "What language is that? I don't know what those
words mean."
He said, "Qabalistic Magic!"
I argued, "You are not going to be teaching these kids
magical words. You know that if you speak certain words, you
draw certain beings to you that know you understand what
they are saying. I've had experiences where beings have come
to me and spoken to me for hours because they know I know
what they are saying. I'm not going to have these kids
experience that with strange beings because they know
Qabalistic magic words."

10-31-05 - VISION - I was given a thick manila envelope with a lot of words on it and I could read except the word HOD. I think that's the third time I've dreamed that word. Right before that I was dreaming about cleaning a huge room with a broom. It was so dirty, I put down some water to hold down the dust. In one place the dust turned to purple/blue ink and it was running the wrong way because the floor was slanted in the wrong direction and the cats were in the way, playing right where I wanted to sweep. I then put down newspapers on the floor and pick up the dampness from the water I had spread to catch the dust. Some mothers and their daughters came in then and I ran to pick up the newspapers and a mother said, "Don't pick up the newspapers, they are perfect for us to sit on and they all sat on the newspapers and brought in wedding gifts for the bride and groom. I went out into the back hall feeling very guilty for doing such a bad job of cleaning. Someone said to me, "You shouldn't judge yourself so harshly. The best man to judge the job you are doing is the man who had the job before you." I looked up and a young, tall man in a beige colored robe stood there before me. |

The Sepher Yetzirah tells us that the universe
was Created when Divinity arranged the 22 Hebrew letters in a
particular order. Indeed, we are told in a Jewish folk-tale of
the letters themselves, each begging Yahweh to be the one that
the Creation would happen through (the winner was, of course,
Beth [B]....hence the first word of Genesis "Berashith"). We can
see what all of this means when we look at the Hebrew Alphabet
through a mystic's eyes. Each of the 22 letters is assigned to
an elemental or astrological component of the universe. The
energies of the 12 signs of the zodiac, the 7 planets, and the 3
elements (remember that Earth is not a literal element) all
compose the very fabric of existance. Further, each letter is
also attributed to a Tarot Trump, and all of the deep mystical
ideals contained therein. Genesis I contains ten instances of
"Elohim Said..."; these are the ten Sephiroth of the Tree of
Life. However, these ten vessels of Divine Power would be
useless without the 22 paths, each with a Letter attributed to
it, that connect them and allow the Energy to flow. The paths,
by the way, is exactly what the Sepher Yetzirah is refering to
when it speaks of the arrangement of the Letters. So, what does
this mean for you and I? It means that those 22 Letters govern
every aspect of our lives. If we could somehow divine how the
Letters are arranged for us at any given time, then we could
learn much about our lives and how to live them. We could ensure
ourselves that we are traveling with the flow of Divine Energy,
and not fighting the current. This, as you probably have heard,
is the one cause of all pain in life. Pain vanishess once you
learn to "go with the flow", and the true Adept has learned how
to navigate along that flow. You have certainly heard of one
system that uses this idea: Astrology. All but three of the
Hebrew letters are assigned to Zodiacal or Planetary forces. A
great knowledge of Astrology is not necessary to use the system
presented here, but you will need to know the basic
correspondences between the letter and the Astrological Force it
represents. However, it should be known that the more you
understand Astrology, the better you will be able to use what I
am going to be teaching you in this booklet. Likewise the Tarot
is another way of divining the arrangement of the Letters. The
Golden Dawn Tarot Deck features the Hebrew Letters printed on
each card for easy reference. You will need to know the basic
correspondences of the Tarot to the Hebrew Letters to use this
system. These attributions will be listed in the Appendix of
this booklet. This system will allow you to receive direct
Divine messages pertaining to the afore mentioned Flow. It will
show you how the 22 letters are arranged in accordance with any
object, idea, or situation, and then allow you to begin
navigating that Flow.
Have you ever wondered why so many Angelic Names end in "el" (Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel, etc)? It is because of what the word "El" means. First, it is a Hebrew word for "Divinity" (or God). Therefore, Gabriel is the "Strength of Divinity" (Gebur + El = Gabriel). This name does not imply that Gabriel is separate from Divinity Itself. Instead, He actually embodies the Strength of Divinity. Further, there is also another reason. It involves exactly what the letters E and L mean. E (or A, it is the Hebrew Aleph) relates Power, as well as Benevolence. L (the Hebrew Lamed) means an extension, as well as a Guide. Therefore, El is appended to Angelic Names because Angels themselves are an extension of Divine Power. Excerpted from: http://ladyoftheearth.com/divination/angelic.txt |

The word Qabbalah finds its root in the Hebrew word Qibel meaning 'to receive by oral tradition'. Qabbalah refers to an oral tradition of esoteric or secret knowledge concerning 'essentially' the mysteries of Nature, and more overtly, the hidden teachings concerning the Hebrew Torah. The Torah is, of course, the first five books of what Christians call the Old Testament, and the oldest surviving of the Judaic liturgical texts. The Kabala is an ancient Hebrew mystical system of thought. It is a symbolic representation of the path the Divine followed in the creation of the universe, including man. It is, by definition, humanity's process of returning to divinity along the same path. Kabbala, also spelled KABALA, KABBALAH, CABALA, CABBALA, OR CABBALAH, is an esoteric Jewish mysticism as it appeared in the 12th and following centuries. Kabbala has always been essentially an oral tradition in that initiation into its doctrines and practices is conducted by a personal guide to avoid the dangers inherent in mystical experiences. Esoteric Kabbala is also "tradition" inasmuch as it lays claim to secret knowledge of the unwritten Torah (divine revelation) that was communicated by God to Moses and Adam. Though observance of the Law of Moses remained the basic tenet of Judaism, Kabbala provided a means of approaching God directly. It thus gave Judaism a religious dimension whose mystical approaches to God were viewed by some as dangerously pantheistic and heretical. The earliest roots of Kabbala are traced to Merkava mysticism. It began to flourish in Palestine in the 1st century AD and had as its main concern ecstatic and mystical contemplation of the divine throne, or "chariot" (merkava), seen in a vision by Ezekiel, the prophet (Ezekiel 1). The earliest known Jewish text on magic and cosmology, Sefer Yetzira ("Book of Creation"), appeared sometime between the 3rd and the 6th century. It explained creation as a process involving the 10 divine numbers (sefirot; see sefira) of God the Creator and the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Taken together, they were said to constitute the "32 paths of secret wisdom." A major text of early Kabbala was the 12th-century Sefer ha-bahir ("Book of Brightness"), whose influence on the development of Jewish esoteric mysticism and on Judaism in general was profound and lasting. The Bahir not only interpreted the sefirot as instrumental in creating and sustaining the universe but also introduced into Judaism such notions as the transmigration of souls (gilgul) and strengthened the foundations of Kabbala by providing it with an extensive mystical symbolism. Modern science stems from the energy in this level, as it is the solar level of consciousness that tries to quantify the universe and everything around it. Hod is a good place to meet with the Archangel Michael. Michael is a being to call upon when you need protection or are in some kind of danger. As such Hod is a place to go for protection from the things that are unseen and things that are beyond your own ability to defend against. The energy of this sphere is well suited for acquiring knowledge and wisdom of any scientific or of a concrete physical-like nature. But more so, this sphere is the place to go to find or touch God within these physical constructs. The Beney Eloheem's primary responsibility is the transmission of knowledge to unite man with God. So here, for example, you not only acquire knowledge but also about how that knowledge touches the universe. Because the energy of Hod is skewed toward the application of knowledge through divine means, Hod is a great place to uncover deception and to find the truth of things. The light of God here is powerful enough to illuminate all falsehoods. Visit here when you feel someone is being untruthful and you want to discover the true nature of these things. Then use this knowledge to help you but not as a weapon to be used against another. The pitfall here in Hod is the use of truth and of knowledge as a weapon against others or in some kind of game to gain superiority over another. You do not always have to be correct. And the real truth is that the more knowledge you acquire the more humble you must become. So if you find yourself falling into the trap of using knowledge against others, visit the sphere of Yesod where knowledge is secondary to the powerful unknown forces that shape existence through mysterious ways. If used correctly Hod can be a great place to acquire the energy of discovery. Knowledge will seek out knowledge and open more and more doorways for you, if you just give it the time. This action will also keep you safe and protected from the often double-edge nature of knowledge that is acquired by force or too quickly. FROM: http://www.wisdomsdoor.com/tol/hod.shtml RAPHAEL: The Divine Physician. Raphael is also the Archangel of Air. He is lord of the Beney Elohim. One of the Seven.Archangels. Who are the Beney Elohim? The Old Testament references to "sons of God." This phrase
is translated from the Hebrew beney 'elohim [
בני אלהים ], beney ha'elohim [ בני האלהים ], and
beney 'elim [ בני אלים ]: GENESIS 6:1 When men began to increase on earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the divine beings [beney ha'elohim] saw how beautiful the daughters of men were and took wives from among those that pleased them. 3 The Lord said, "My breath shall not abide in man forever, since he too is flesh; let the days allowed him be one hundred and twenty years." 4 It was then, and later too, that the Nephilim appeared on earth when the divine beings [beney ha'elohim] cohabited with the daughters of men, who bore them offspring. They were the heroes of old, the men of renown. (Tanakh, the new Jewish Publication Society translation according to the traditional Hebrew text) DEUTERONOMY 32:8 When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of men, he fixed the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God [beney 'elohim]. (RSV) JOB 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God [beney ha'elohim] came to present themselves before the Lord and Satan also came among them. (NKJV) JOB 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God [beney ha'elohim] came to present themselves before the Lord and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. (NKJV) JOB 38:4 "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. 5 Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? 6 To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, 7 when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God [beney 'elohim] shouted for joy? (NKJV) PSALM 29:1 O give the Lord you sons of God [beney 'elim], give the Lord glory and power; 2 give the Lord the glory of his name. Adore the Lord in his holy court. (The Psalms: A New Translation) PSALM 89:5 The heavens proclaim your wonders, O Lord; the assembly of your holy ones proclaims your truth. 6 For who in the skies can compare with the Lord or who is like the Lord among the sons of God [beney 'elim]? (The Psalms: A New Translation)As you can see, each reference above is to angels. There are no instances in the Old Testament where the phrase "sons of God" refers to men. Let's see what E.W. Bullinger has to say about these "sons of God" in Appendix 23 to The Companion Bible: "The Sons of God" in Gen. 6.2, 4.Now let's look at Genesis 6:9, which discusses Noah's genealogy. This Scripture is further proof that fallen angels had interbred with humans. GENESIS 6:9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect [tamim] in his generations. Noah walked with God. (NKJV)In Genesis 6:9, the Hebrew word tamim, here translated "perfect," means "physically without blemish." As the first sentence makes clear, it's referring to the genealogy of Noah; it does not refer to moral perfection. Below is what Appendix 26 of The Companion Bible has to say about this word as used in verse 9 of Genesis 6: The Heb. word tamim means without blemish, and is the technical word for bodily and physical perfection, and, not moral. Hence it is used of animals of sacrificial purity . It is rendered without blemish in Ex. 12.5; 29.1; Lev. 1.3, 10; 3.1, 6; 4.3, 23, 28, 32; 5.12, 18; 6.6; 9.2, 3; 14.10; 22.19; 23.12, 18; Num. 6.14; 28.19, 31; 29.2, 8, 13, 20, 23, 29, 32, 36; Ezek. 43.22, 23, 25; 45.18, 23; 46.4, 6, 13. Now let's examine what Jude said about the
fallen angels in the New Testament: JUDE 6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (KJV) Because of the punctuation of verse 7, this Scripture
appears to say that Sodom and Gomorrah, as well as the cities
around them, gave themselves over to sexual immorality. However,
the underlying Greek text does not support this interpretation.
Kenneth Wuest writes of verse 7: This verse begins with hos, an adverb of comparison having meanings of "in the same manner as, after the fashion of, as, just as." Here it introduces a comparison showing a likeness between the angels of verse 6 and the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha of this verse. But the likeness between them lies deeper than the fact that both were guilty of committing sin. It extends to the fact that both were guilty of the same identical sin. The punctuation of the A.V. [KJV] is misleading, as an examination of Greek text discloses. The underlying Greek text indicates that the
fallen angels left their own domain and indulged in sexual
immorality, going after "strange," or "other" flesh. The
KJV obscures this fact, probably because the view that
the fallen angels were "the sons of God" spoken of in Genesis
6:2, 4 was not accepted when it was translated in 1611. However,
some translations do more clearly show the meaning of this
passage. The New English Bible better presents
what Jude was saying: JUDE 6 Remember too the angels, how some of them were not content to keep the dominion given to them but abandoned their proper home; and God has reserved them for judgement on the great Day, bound beneath the darkness in everlasting chains. 7 Remember Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbouring towns; like the angels, they committed fornication and followed unnatural lusts; and they paid the penalty in eternal fire, an example for all to see. (NEB) It's clear that Jude wrote of the fornication of the angels as a fact. In verse 7 of his epistle, he compares the sexual wickedness in Sodom, Gomorrah, and the surrounding cities to the sin of the angels. The nature of the angels' fall is also clearly
stated in Jude 6, where it is said that they left their own
"abode" (Gr. oiketerion). This word occurs in the
New Testament only here and in II Corinthians 5:2, where it is
used of the spiritual body of a resurrected saint. II CORINTHIANS 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation [oiketerion] which is from heaven, (NKJV) There is a great deal revealed in the Bible about angels. Angels could and did assume human form and even eat men's food (Gen. 18-19). Although the Bible doesn't tell us how, Jude 6 shows that some angels left their proper abode (their spiritual bodies) and took on fleshly bodies so as to marry and produce offspring by the daughters of men. Although the angels committed sexual sins and
corrupted the human lineage to some extent, they did something
else that threatened to foil God's plan for humanity. Let's go
back to 1 Enoch to see what these fallen angels did that
affected the human race enormously: 1 ENOCH 8:1 And Azazel taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all 2 colouring tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they 3 were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. Semjaza taught enchantments, and root- cuttings, Armaros the resolving of enchantments, Baraqijal (taught) astrology, Kokabel the constellations, Ezeqeel the knowledge of the clouds, Araqiel the signs of the earth, Shamsiel the signs of the sun, and Sariel the course of the moon. And as men perished, they cried, and their cry went up to heaven . . . (From The Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha of the Old Testament, translated by R.H. Charles) As the text above shows, the angels brought with them knowledge which humanity did not have beforehand. This information led to a rapid advance in the knowledge base of the antediluvian society, including the invention of advanced methods of waging warfare. In the NKJV translation of Genesis 6:4, the nephilim are called "mighty men who were of old, men of renown;" however, the NRSV translates that same phrase as "heroes that were of old, warriors of renown." Genesis 6:11 shows that the earth was filled
with violence; this is very likely the direct result of the
nephilim, who apparently were mighty warriors. If the
ancient legends are indeed based in fact, as they appear to be,
these angelic offspring were superhuman in size and great in
strength. There is also an indication from the ancient text
known as the Book of Jasher that this corruption
of bloodlines extended to the animals also. JASHER 4:18 And their judges and rulers went to the daughters of men and took their wives by force from their husbands according to their choice, and the sons of men in those days took from the cattle of the earth, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order therewith to provoke the Lord; and God saw the whole earth and it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted its ways upon earth, all men and all animals. 19 And the Lord said, I will blot out man that I created from the face of the earth, yea from man to the birds of the air, together with cattle and beasts that are in the field . . .(From The Book of Jasher, published by J.H. Parry & Company, 1887) The Book of Jasher is mentioned
twice in the Bible (Jos. 10:13; II Sam. 1:18). While it's
evident the copy of this book that has survived to our time has
been corrupted to some extent, the Scriptures seem to confirm
the information contained in this section of Jasher: GENESIS 6:7 So the LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them." (NKJV) It appears likely that the objectives of the Flood were the destruction of the polluted human and animal bloodlines and the eradication of the forbidden knowledge that humanity had learned from the fallen host. There is one other New Testament passage which
hints at the sin of the angels before the flood. It is an
enigmatic scripture found in Paul's first letter to the
Corinthian church. I CORINTHIANS 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 8 For man is not from woman, but woman from man. 9 Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man. 10 For this reason the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. (NKJV) In I Corinthians 11, Paul states the position of women in relation to men and says that the symbol of authority on a woman's head is needed "because of the angels." Without an understanding of what took place anciently between the fallen host and women, this verse is cryptic at best. There is opposition to the view that the
fallen angels are the "sons of God" referred to in Genesis 6.
Some cite Matthew 22:29-30 and Mark 12:24-25 as objections,
saying that these Scriptures clearly teach that angels do not
marry. MATTHEW 22:29 Jesus answered and said to them [the Sadducees], "You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God. 30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven." (NKJV)First, these verses do not state whether angels can marry or procreate. Here Christ was referring only to the way things will be after the first resurrection of the dead. Additionally, the angels in heaven who did not sin are the example cited, not the angels confined to Tartarus because they sinned by marrying humans and producing offspring. To get a better perspective of what Christ was saying, let's look at the parallel account of this conversation in Luke's Gospel. LUKE 20:34 And Jesus answered and said to them, "The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. 35 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; 36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection." (NKJV) Christ's primary purpose in his answer was to affirm the reality of the resurrection to these questioning Sadducees, who did not believe that there would be a resurrection. As you can clearly see from Luke's account of this confrontation, Christ is making two points about the age to come: (1) Resurrected humans will not marry, and (2) resurrected humans will be given eternal life, which the holy angels now have. Interpreting these Scriptures to mean that angels have never been able to marry or procreate reads more into them than was intended by Jesus. Some also object by saying that Genesis 6:4 shows that there were nephilim on the earth before "the sons of God" came in to "the daughters of men" and also afterward; therefore, these giants cannot be the offspring of this union. Does the phrase "in those days, and also afterward" mean that the nephilim were present before the the sons of God cohabited with the daughters of men? "In those days" plainly means the time after the "sons of God" had come down to earth; the fact that they had taken wives is disclosed in Genesis 6:2. In time sequence, chapter six of Genesis should follow chapter four; the fifth chapter is an inset into the story flow. "Afterward" specifies after the flood, when we see another instance of giants appearing, this time in the land of Canaan which the Israelites were to inherit (Num. 13:33). Satan once again tried to thwart God's plan by using these savage hybrids to occupy the land of Canaan and keep Abraham's offspring out. Obviously none of the nephilim survived the Flood. These giants are often mentioned in the early books of the Old Testament until the last of them were finally killed off. The word nephilim only appears twice in the Old Testament (Gen 6:4; Num. 13:33), but these giants are also referred to as gibbor (Gen 6:4; Num. 13:33; Job 16:14) and rephaim when they reappear in a more limited fashion after the flood (Gen. 14:5; 15:20; Deu. 2:11, 20; 3:11, 13; Jos. 12:4; 13:12; 15:8; 17:15; 18:16; II Sam. 5:18, 22; 21:16, 18, 20, 22; 23:13; I Chr. 11:15; 14:9; 20:4, 6, 8; Isa. 17:5; 26:14). They were known by the proper names of Rephaim, Emim, Anakim, and Zamzummim. CONCLUSIONAs shown above, the evidence that "the sons of God" mentioned in Genesis 6 are fallen angels is substantial. By their sexual immorality, these angels produced offspring which were strong and violent. The concept of a race of giants which resulted from the union of gods and humans is virtually universal in the world's early civilizations. The original intent of the angels may have only been to satisfy their forbidden lust. Yet the knowledge they brought with them and taught mankind caused society to develop at a more rapid technological pace than God had intended. This societal development was not positive, and it gave rise to a very violent society, one in which the nephilim apparently played a large role. God was forced to restrain in the Abyss the wicked angels that produced the nephilim, and cleanse the earth of them and the violence they brought with the great Flood. Bryan T. Huie FROM: http://users.aristotle.net/~bhuie/gen6sons.htm Bene Elohim - Also bene Elim, a group of angels who belong to the order or choir of thrones. Meaning "sons of God," the bene Elohim are considered a part or division of the thrones, receiving the duty of forever singing the ineffable praise of God. As the sons of God, they are sometimes counted as the beings mentioned in the Book of Genesis (6:2) who save the daughters of men "and took to wife such of them as they chose." The result of this union were the giants, the anakim, "the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown." The bene Elohim are also thought to be the angels called the ischim. "...The geologist Christian O'Brien argued
that these [ancient Hebrew and Sumerian] texts describe a race
of beings called Shining Ones - his translation of the Hebrew
word Elohim. These beings created modern humans from earlier
human forms by genetic manipulation. Some of these beings,
called Watchers, mated with humans, and this was
considered a crime by the Shining Ones. One of the Watchers was
named Shemjaza, and Yahweh was one of the Shining Ones. O'Brien
argued that the Shining Ones were superior but mortal beings of
unknown origin."

Shirts Chapters 3 and 4 of the Book of Abraham contain an account of the "Council of the Gods", including their discussion of the creation, the premortal existence, and the war in heaven. While this theme is neither fully developed nor coherent in the Bible or any other literature available in Joseph Smith's day, "since Cumorah" a great deal of scholarship has once again unearthed the ancient concept of the Council of the Gods. And as it turns out, Joseph Smith's Book of Abraham gives quite a fair accounting of the information scholars only began to find fully half a century after its publication. In this essay we will examine some of the information the scholars have uncovered about this important pre-mortal event. R.H. Charles shows that the "Bereshith rabba" teaches "God takes counsel with the souls of the righteous before he creates the earth."1 According to the "Sefer Haparshiyot," and the "Midrash Kee Tov," Adam, Noah, Abraham, Enoch and Moses were among the righteous in attendance. These souls in the Council of the Gods were said to be "with God before the creation of the world,"2 and they "were consulted with and did consult God on many vital matters, and especially on the matter of Creation."3 The Syriac Apocalypse of Baruch distinguishes between righteous and common souls: "The storehouses in which the fore-ordained number of souls is kept shall be opened, and the souls shall go forth, and the many souls shall appear all at once, as a host with one mind. And the first shall rejoice, and the last shall not be sad."4 Further, the "Midrash Tanhuma Pekude" tells of some spirits who "kept their first estate" and therefore they were "added upon", that is, they entered into another world which "is more beautiful than this."5 Julian Morgenstern has discussed the "Council of the gods" at great length using Old Testament scriptures in light of recent discoveries. Other scholars also elaborated on this theme so that now we have a rather complete description of the Council in Heaven. Morgenstern begins by demonstrating that the Hebrew "elohim" cannot mean judges or foreign rulers because the context of the entire Psalm 82 requires the word "gods" to mean "divine beings."6 These are "...divine beings of a certain class who were actually condemned by Yawheh to die, or at least to become mortal, like human beings."7 It is interesting in light of this that the "Council of the gods" has a judicial function. The technical term "to stand" (i.e. participate as a member), in the court is used both in Accadian - "uzuzzu" and in Hebrew - "ha'omedim" in Zechariah 3:3, which compares well with "'omed" in 1 Kings 22:19.8 The "Puhrum" - "assembly" of the gods was open to goddesses also. In the Gilgamesh Epic, "Ishtar reproaches herself for having advocated the flood in the assembly of the gods. We read that "In their (i.e. the gods) assembly her word is highly esteemed, is surpassing; she sits among them counting as much (with them) as Anum, their king. She is wise in intelligence, profundity, and knowledge."9 Professor Van Der Woude has noted the idea that the "Sons of Light" are saved from the "Sons of Darkness" in this "Council" and specifically, the heavenly host helps Melchisedek "fight against Belial and his angels." This is the famous war in heaven theme, also found in the Dead Sea Scrolls.10 This "council" is understood by Morgenstern to be the assembly of El, that is, those who helped El against his father, were the elohim. The "'adat El" was originally the "Council of El", though later it was also acknowledged as the "Council of Yahweh" which indicates "the mythological background of the expression and its North-Semitic origin..."11. The idea of a council of divine beings, even the very "Sons of God" - (bene Elohim) was an uncomfortable one for the ancient Jews after the Babylonian captivity. It reflects a polytheism which was later shunned, and even stamped out with changes in the scripture to erase any lingering traces, though these were not all successfully destroyed. Morganstern shows how the post-exilic Jews tried to downplay the fact that "Elohim" is a plural form by contending weakly that Psalms 29:1 and 89:7, where we read of the "Bene elim" are actually "an artificial double plural formation of a singular 'ben 'el.' Morgenstern asserts that this reconstruction was perpetrated by the post-exilic Jews "to reduce as much as possible the extreme polytheism of the original 'bene 'el.' 'Bar elohim' of Dan. 3:25 would then be a late singular formation from an Aramaic plural, 'bere elohim,' equivilant to the Hebrew 'bene elohim.'"12 This has recently been confirmed in a striking way via Textual Criticism. Emanuel Tov has noted that the Song of Moses (Deuteronomy 32:8) "referred to an assembly of the gods (cf. Ps. 82:1; 1 Kings 22:19), in which 'the Most High, 'Elyon,' fixed the boundaries of peoples according to the number of the sons of the God El." He goes on to admit "...the scribe of an early text... did not feel at ease with this possibly polytheistic picture and replaced "Bene El," (sons of El), with "Bene Yisrael", "The sons of Israel," thus giving the text a different direction by the change of one word... A similar change may be reflected in all textual witnesses of Ps. 96:7: 'Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength,' when compared with the presumably original (polytheistic) text of Ps. 29:1, 'Ascribe to the Lord, O divine beings, (Bene Elohim), ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.' Psalm 29, which also in other details reflects situations and phrases known from Ugaritic texts, does, in this detail, provide a polytheistic picture of the assembly of gods."13 P. Kyle McCarter, Jr., shows the rendering of "sons of God" in Deut. 32:8 has the support of the Septuagint [the Greek Old Testament also rendered LXX] and other versions. "The original can be taken to mean that Yahweh was one of the sons of God to whom Elyon parceled out peoples. The alteration of "h'lhym" (or perhaps 'l or 'lym) to "ysr'l" suppressed this interpretation."14 The LXX reads: "When the Most High divided the nations, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the nations according to the number of the angels of God."15 Ronald S. Hendel simply said, "...somewhere along the line in the transmission of the standard rabbinic Bible someone felt the need to clean up the text by literally rewriting it and substituting "sons of Israel" for the original "Sons of God" in Deuteronomy 32:8." These "Sons of God" are "indeed divine beings."16 Gerhard Von Rad notes that "Creation is part of the aetiology of Israel!" And he further notes that "Another rooting of Israel in the plans of Jahweh for the world is to be seen in Deut. 32:8: 'When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of men, he fixed the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the 'Elohim beings'; but Jahweh's portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage."17 William F. Albright believed that this verse should be read in conjunction with Job 38:7 - "When the morning stars rejoiced together And all the sons of God shouted with joy." Why? "Because there are many passages in the Old Testament where the stars serve as a simile for 'multitude'; specific references to 'counting' the stars are found at Genesis 15:5 [dealing with Abraham] and Psalms 147:4." Hence the idea here being that "according to the stars," meaning "God created and assigned abodes to a multitude of different nations, but of them all he chose Israel as his special charge."18 We'll return to this thought when we deal with the Book of Mormon. For now it is interesting that Mitchell Dahood says Psalm 147:4 means "To each star Yahweh gives a number and a name...He who brings forth their host by number, he calls them all by name."19 The ancient idea of the "Council of the gods" meets us in the Sumerian and Akkadian religions, as well. Psalm 29 "...is a Yahwistic adaptation of an older Canaanite hymn to the storm-god Ball..."20 Since the early 1900's we have known that "The Sumerians and Akkadians pictured their gods as human in form, governed by human emotions, and living in the same type of world as did men. In almost every particular the world of the gods is therefore a projection of terrestrial conditions...Thus in the domain of the gods we have a reflection of older forms, of the terrestrial Mesoptamian state as it was in pre-historic times. The assembly which we find in the world of the gods rested on a broad democratic basis..."21 Professor Cross agrees that in Israelite poetry, the language we have cited as indicative of the assembly of gods "is generally applied to the host of secondary supernatural beings who surround Yahweh, and prostrate themselves before him."22 We are fairly sure that "the early poets of Israel were heavily influenced by the poetic imagery and modes of expression of the peoples with whom they came in contact."23 The assembly of gods were rather frequently assembled at the "Ubshuukkinna," that is, a large court, where they met friends and relatives who had come from afar to participate in the assembly as important business was to be transacted, usually beginning with an embrace as a welcome into the company of the gods.24 The leadership of the gods was usually headed by the head god of the gods, who began the discussion which was "largely in the hands of the so-called 'ilu rabiutum', the 'great gods,' or better yet, the 'senior gods.'"25 This is strikingly similar to Joseph Smith's translation of Genesis 1:1 - "The head one of the Gods, brought forth the Gods."26 Joseph Smith's translation of the Hebrew word "Bereshiyth" according to the Hebrew Dictionary in Strong's Concordance means "the first, in place, time, order or rank - beginning, chief, first (fruits, part, time), principal thing."27 Joseph Smith's translation would come from "re' shiyth / bara' / 'elohiym / 'eth / hashamayim / v'eth / ha'arts," meaning - "The Head one of the Gods organized the heaven and the earth."28 Gesenius' Lexicon notes that the "beth" "refers to a multitude, in the midst of...among in." The lexicon shows that it can mean "among" as in "among the nations" (2 Ki. 18:5) It can also mean "before, in the presence of..."29 When the discussion began, we are told, "the intrinsic merit of a proposal" was given due process and consideration, with "wise council" and a "testifying of intelligence." The gods were constantly "asking one another," all manner of things in the discussions eventually with the result that "issues were clarified and the gods had opportunity to voice their opinions for or against, at times espousing proposals they later bitterly regretted."30 This is precisely what we find in the Book of Abraham Chapter 3. "These two facts exist, that there are two spirits, one being more intelligent than the other; there shall be another more intelligent than they...I am more intelligent than they all." The Gods then make proposals, "We will go down for there is space there, and we will take of these materials, and we will make an earth whereon these may dwell... Whom shall I send? And one answered...Here am I, send me. And another answered and said: Here am I, send me. And the Lord said: I will send the first. And the second was angry and kept not his first estate..." (Abr. 3:19, 24, 27, 28, etc.,). As we have seen "the function of this divine assembly were in part those of a court of law," and "the assembly is the authority which grants kingship."31 It is the same picture we find in the Book of Abraham, Ch. 3! Once the head god is chosen to carry out a particular function (Abr. 3:27!) that god is clothed in a garment and having been armed, then carries out the battle against the gods who disagreed with him (Abr. 3:28!) Thus, in the war in heaven the righteous hosts "fight against Belial and his angels."32 We know this is the case because at Job 1:6-12 and 2:1-7 we find Yahweh assembled with his heavenly host, designated as the "Bene Elohim", literally "the sons of God", and "One among their number, although one obviously discharging a particular and constant function, is hasatan."33 Namely, "the adversary" or "the accuser" taking on a "role of fixed hostility to mankind."34 Morgenstern notes that the important thing in this picture, is not so much Satan as Yahweh, "the graphic picture of Yahweh, seated upon his throne, surrounded by His heavenly host, the 'bene elohim,' divine beings of rank inferior to Yahweh Himself, his personal attendants and ministers of his Will and purpose, gathered together as the ''adat 'el' to pronounce judgment."35 I cannot find a better description of the Book of Abraham picture, but Morgenstern is using a composite picture of Old Testament and Ugaritic, Sumerian, and Akkadian lore to come up with this scenario! "The picture here is identical with that in Isaiah 6:; 1 Ki. 22:19-23 and Zecheriah 3," which "unhesitatingly designates Yahweh's heavenly attendants as 'elohim', 'gods' obviously identical with 'bene ha'elohim' of Job 1:6 and 2:1." The tie in with Mormonism is more obvious when we see Satan was cast out of heaven, along with his followers, "but only some, and these impliedly only a small group, of the great hosts of angels. The rest, it says explicitly, restrained themselves."36 Mormons recognize that only 1/3 of the hosts of heaven rebelled. Satan's sin? "Give me thy glory!" Or as Morgenstern puts it, "And one from out the order of angels, having turned away with the order that was under him, conceived an impossible thought, to place his throne higher than the clouds above the earth, that he might become equal in rank to my power." And make no mistake about it, Satan was one of the "Sarim", that is the leaders, the head prince of his group.37 More to the point, we now know who the "we" are in Genesis 1:26, who were involved with the creation! "This would seem to be a brief fragment of the creation tradition basic to Genesis 1, in its oldest, pre-literary form, as it must have been current in Israel for some time prior to the composition of Pg about 400 B.C. According to this tradition Yahweh took counsel with his Heavenly host with regard to the creation [Cf. BofAbr. "we will go down for there is space there..."!] of man."38 Interestingly, in today's Torah commentary we read from the editor that the statement in Genesis 1:26, "Let us make man..." "is spoken to an angelic court"!39 Astonishingly, we find that Yahweh assigns mortality to the "bene elohim"! The word "temutun" means "ye shall become mortal."40 And it is to the "bene elohim" that Yahweh is telling this to, since "...it means that they must forfeit completely their original, divine nature, and with it undoubtedly whatever divine powers and prerogatives they possessed, and take on the nature of human beings and in particular become subject to death, become mortal."41 This is precisely what the Book of Abraham teaches, but nowhere have I found anything similar in print in Joseph Smith's day other than in the Book of Abraham. This concept was completely foreign in Smith's day, and still is a supreme heresy to much of Christendom even today! "It has a definite polytheistic basis, at least in its assumption that some divine being other than God Himself might claim supreme dominion."42 That no one is going to make up a story like that can be clearly seen from the fact that no one in Joseph Smith's day or for hundreds of years before ever did make up such a story and claim it was scripture! Now it is a confirmed view thanks to recent discoveries and decades and decades of scholarship and work. Joseph Smith put it all together in succinct and coherent form almost overnight. And not only is nothing missing in this account, but no extra or demonstrably incorrect details are added. Endnotes 1. R.H. Qabalah can provide the basis of magic activities with the aim of transforming the life of the individual by creating synergy between everyday life, e.g. the human body, and universal creative forces as identified by the Qabalah. This is also an act of healing as the total sum of cosmic powers correspond to human wholeness, and therefore develops our true capability which is genetically enabled at birth but must be utilized by will. "The art of the magician lies therefore in aligning himself with cosmic force in order that the operation he desires to perform may come about as a part of the working of cosmic activities. If he be truly purified and dedicated, this will be the case with all his desires; and if he be not truly purified and dedicated he is no adept, and his word is not a word of power" (Dion Fortune;118) All kinds of healing and magic works in the same way: The healer-magician enters a state of meditative excitement, calls upon cosmic powers for protection and help, and visualizes or simulates the desired results while "seeing" and trusting that it happens. In qabalistic magic the involved powers are clothed in the symbolism of western culture and religion, but the process is universal. The results of healing magic can never be forecasted: Even though any ritual is carrried out with the intention of a desired result, the only certain effect is the clearing of channels between spirit, soul, personality and body. What the ego-personality desires - or even the soul - may be different from the will of spirit. Earthly suffering may sustain if it is the condition is a conscious choice of the soul or of spirit, even though, of course, the ego disagrees. Healing can lead to good health, more money and better sex, but not necessarily so. You never know what energy will do when it has its way. The term 'spiritual technology' is meant to signify this intuition.
