Father Andrew C. Wingate

Thursday's guest, Father Andrew Wingate, who has been described as a Catholic mystic, returned to the show offering forecasts of the coming "end times." He also told a story of serving as an exorcist at a ritual that was conducted in a motel room. When the police showed up because of the noise, Wingate said their powerful flashlights could not penetrate the darkened room because the only light that would shine could come from "blessed candles."

Naming the Antichrist as Maitreya, Wingate said he currently holds a position within the UN and will take rule in about 10 years. Interestingly, he said that aliens are actually human beings who "jump in and out of time," but that Maitreya would falsely reveal them as being our brothers from Alpha Centauri as part of his plan.

Here are some other predictions that Father Wingate shared:

• Within the next year or so, a tsunami will hit the West Coast (timed as retribution for a US government action on abortion).
• Iran will have another large quake within the next year, with a large death toll.
• There will be a large volcanic eruption in the Philippines this year.
• A drought will affect crops such as corn, potatoes and soy, and fungus will cause deterioration to bean and seed crops.
• A plague of insects similar to Lady Bugs will hit the Central US this year.
• Precursor events leading up to the sinking of a US battleship (which he previously predicted) include the US opening diplomatic relations with Cuba, the assassination of Germany and France's leaders, and a war between Italy and Yugoslavia.

Around the time of the exile, the United States will be invaded by a united Russian and Chinese army, aided by additional communist forces. The US will already be fighting a war on three fronts when this happens. He outlined the devastating consequences of the invasion, which he expects to take place no later than four years from now: Around 30% of the US population will die before the invaders are stopped outside of Omaha, with some of the greatest losses occurring in Texas and the southern half of the country.

Wingate predicted that the assassination of the leaders of France and Germany would precede the U.S. invasion. He also described a vision of an airborne bacteria that would take many lives, though he did not specify a time frame for this.

Papal Prophecy Update

During an earlier appearance on Coast, Father Andrew Wingate shared prophetic visions regarding Pope John Paul II. On that show, Wingate predicted the Pope would be cured of a serious illness. Despite reports from the Vatican of the Pope's imminent death, Wingate believes the Pope is not going to die. In the first hour of Friday's show, he said the Pope would be cured by a group of mystics who will travel to Rome and become important figures in the church. If the Pope does pass away, however, Wingate said he would "have to reevaluate many things."

Papal Prophecy

In the first hour, Father Andrew Wingate appeared briefly to discuss his previous vision that the Pope's death would be faked. He now claimed that he was given inaccurate information by the other mystic priests he confers with, and said he believed that Pope John Paul II was indeed dead.

Author John Hogue discussed prophecy in relation to the Pope's passing for the rest of the hour. The 12th century Irish seer St. Malachy prophesied a list of the Pope's names, he said, and Pope John Paul II's name translated into "from the labor of the sun." This is especially interesting, as the Pope had been born on the day of an eclipse and will be buried this Friday when an eclipse is also taking place, Hogue noted.

• A year from now, there'll be an immense underwater earthquake that will cause a tsunami and many casualties.
• In 2012, the Antichrist will take "his reins of the world." This will be preceded by a year and a half period of harmony across society.
• In 2020, a comet will come so close to the Earth that it knock it off its axis.
• America will become involved in an Iran-Pakistan war.

Wingate also reviewed his prophecy concerning a Russian-Chinese invasion of the United States which he described in detail during his 3/16/05 appearance. The invading army will enter via commercial airline flights as well as across the Canadian border and such cities as Chicago, Detroit, Montreal, Buffalo, Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston will all be devastated, he said.
