Know ye the thee we for and in consideration of the Sum of Five dollars for every hundred acres hereby granted and paid into our treasury by Ephriam and Joseph Henry, Jr. hath give and granted and by these presence do give and grant unto the said Ephriam and Joseph Henry, Jr. a tract of land containing three hundred and ninety acres lying and being in the County of Buncombe on Bridge Creek a line to M_______ Creek and with Brau Inn. Beginning on two small spanish oaks on a line of a tract of land granted to Joseph and Rachel Henry from Five hundred acres and a line of a tract of land granted to John Jones and runs east crossing a Branch 103 poles to a small white oak on the west side of Bridge Creek, then north two poles passing Bridge Creek with every on Joneses line passing a small branch at 250 poles , 208 poles to a post oak. Then a west 42 poles to a post oak. Then north 40 poles to a white oak. Thence west 48 poles to two chestnuts on top of a ridge. Thence north 8 poles to a black oak. Thence west 65 poles to a stake. Thence south 242 poles to a stake in O. Kelly's line. Thence east 58 poles in O. Kelley's line to a stake his corner. Thence south O. Kelly's line and Joneses line to the beginning entrance the 11th of Oct. 1826 as by the plot hereunto annex and do the appear. ___ ___ with all woods, water, mines, minerals Hereatitaments and appurtenances, to the said land belonging or appertaining to hold on the said Ephriam and Joseph Henry their heirs and assigns forever guilding and paying to us such sums of money yearly or otherwise as its general assembly from time to time may direct provide always that the late granted shall cause this grant to be registered in the registrars office of our said County of Buncombe within twelve months from the date hence or otherwise the same shall be void. In testimony whereof we have caused these own letters to be made patent and our grant seal this hereunto affixed.
