This indenture made the 21st day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty between Joseph Henry, Sr. and his son Noah Henry, both of the county of Henderson and state of North Carolina witness that the said Jos. Henry son for and in consideration of of one dollar to him in hand paid receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the further consideration of the natural love and affection which he has to and have with the said Noah Henry hath given granted and conveyed defend and set over and by these presence do this give grant convey and give set over unto the said Noah Henry and to him his heirs executors administrators and assigns all that certain tract of parcel of land situate and lying in the County of Henderson and beginning at a White Oak on a ridge at the beginning corner of the Burns tract runs south 90 poles to a stake thence west 180 poles to a stake, thence north 90 poles to a stake thence east 60 poles to a black oak by the edge of an old field, then north 80 poles to a stake. Thence east 120  poles to a stake, thence south 80 poles to the beginning stake. Thence east 120 poles to a stake, thence south 80 poles to the beginning stake containing 160 acres more or less to have and to hold the said granted land and premises to the said Noah Henry, his heirs executors administrators and assigns and forever deed. The said Joseph Henry Sr., for himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns the said land and premises Here set items and appurtenances and all right title interest and property to the said Noah Henry his heirs  executors administrators and assigns free and clear from and all former gifts grants deeds titles mortgages dower rights and titles of dower judgments executive bases apprisements fines forfeitures amendments troubles and incumbrances of whatsoever nature form an extent had made done suffered or committed by the said Joseph Henry Sr., by every person or persons whosoever by his order agency means or procovenant and against the claims or demand of all and every other person or persons whatsoever will now and end at all time hereafter warrant and duly defend by these presence in testimony before the said Joseph Henry Sr. has hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written signed sealed and delivered in presence.

This indenture made the 21st day of May, 1840, between Joseph Henry Sr. and his daughter Rachel Henry both of the County of Henderson and State of North Carolina. The said Joseph Henry, Sr. for and in consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and to further consideration of the natural love and affection which we both and doth bear toward the said Rachel Henry, hath hereby given granted conveyed swore and by these presence doth him grant convey  confirm and sworn unto the said Rachel Henry her executors administrators and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land on the north side of the French Broad River beginning upon two spanish oaks Ephriam and Joseph Henry's beginning corner runs down the 224 poles to a stake on Robert Henry's line thru south 79 degrees east to a small white oak by the edge of a long swamp then east 60 poles to a black oak on the top of a hill thru it 16 1/2 east 107 poles to a black oak on the side of a hill then north 44 west 184 poles to a stake on the old line then west to the beginning containing one hundred and sixty five acres by the same more or less at will move fully at does appear by reference to the original patent granted to Robert Henry Sept. 24th, 1805. I have and to hold the said granted land and premises to the said Rachel Henry here heirs executors administrators and assigns and the said Joseph Henry Sr. for himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns said lands and premises Heratitament and appurtenances all the right title interest and property therein to the said Rachel Henry her heirs executors administrators and assigns free and clear from and of all former gifts grants deeds titles mortgages dower rights and titles of dowers judgments executions taxes appurtenances fines forfeitures immercuments troubles and encumbrances of whatsoever nature from or extent that may done offend or committed for the said Joseph Henry, Sr. or by any other person or persons whatever by his hands or agency means or procurements and against the claim or demand of all and every other person or persons whatsoever will now and at all times hereafter will truly warrant and defend by these presence. This indenture made this 21st day of May, 1840 between Joseph Henry Sr., and Charlotte Henry his beloved wife both of the County and state witnesseth that the said Joseph Henry, Sr. for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he hath and doth bear towards Charlotte Henry, his beloved wife doth hereby given granted conveyed swore and by these presence doth give grant convey and confirm and swore unto the said Charlotte Henry and her use and benefit for and during her natural life and further witnesseth that the said Joseph Henry  for and in the sum of five dollars to me in hand paid by Ephraim Henry, Margaret Orr, Joseph, Robin and Noah of the County and state aforesaid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the further consideration of the natural love and affection which he hath and doth bear towards the said Ephraim Henry, Margaret Orr, Joseph Robert and Noah Henry for and after the natural life of the above named Charlotte Henry hath hereby given granted conveyed swore and by these presence doth give grant convey and confirm and swore unto the said Ephriam Henry, Margaret Orr, Joseph, Robert Noah Henry and to their heirs administrators and assigns all that certain tract or parcel of land situate being and being in the county and state aforesaid on the north side of French Broad River bounded as follows (Viz) Beginning at a stake at the mouth of the spring Branch and hence up and with the said Branch north 9 degrees west one hundred and 94 poles to a small white oak by the edge of the Big sweep then north 79 degrees west 77 poles to a stake then a south 60 poles to a black oak thence south 41 degrees west 60 poles to a spanish oak thence south 27 poles on a black oak on a hill thence 20 degrees west 38 poles to a stake on the bank of the River thence down and with the meander of the river to the beginning containing one hundred and forty acres by the same more or less the above named tract or parcel of land is composed of two original grants one granted to Joseph Henry deed on the 20th day of November 1772. The other to Robert Henry Sept. the 24th 1808. To have and to hold the said granted land and premises for and during her natural life then to the said Ephraim Henry, Margaret Orr Joseph Robert and Noah Henry, their heirs executors administrators and assigns forever and the said Joseph Henry, Sr. for himself his heirs administrators executors and assigns the said lands and premises Heretitaments and appurtenances and all the right title interest and property therein to the said Ephraim Henry, Margaret Orr Joseph Robert and Noah Henry their heirs executors administrators and assigns free and clear from and of all former gifts grants titles mortgages dowers rights and titles of dower indentures executions taxes assignments fines forfeitures immercuments troubles and incumbrances of whatsoever nature form an extent had made those supposed or committed for the said Joseph Henry Sr. or by any other person or persons whatsoever by his order agency money or procurements and against the claim or demand of all and every other person or persons whatsoever will now and at all times hereafter truly warrant and defend by these presence in testimony whereof the said Joseph Henry both hereunto set his hand and affixeth his seal the day and date first have written signed sealed and delivered with presence of:

This indenture made this 21st day of May, 1840 by Joseph Henry, Sr. and his son Joseph Henry both of the state of North Carolina and County of Henderson witnesseth that the said Joseph Henry Sr. for and in consideration of these sum of one dollar to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the further consideration of the natural love and affection which he hath and doth bear towards the said Joseph Henry his son hath hereby given granted conveyed and swore duly these presence doth hereby give grant convey and swore unto the said Joseph Henry his heirs administrators executors and assigns all that certain tract or parcel of land situate being in the county and state aforesaid on the south side of the French Broad River bounded as follows: Beginning at Spanish oak on bank of the Big Branch Robert Orr beginning corner and with the same south then east 160 poles to a red oak, then south 15 east 220 poles to a stake then north 75 east 80 poles to a stake. Then south 100 poles to a stake, then south 75 west 160  poles to a stake north 237 poles to a stake, thence west to a stake in the fork of a Big Branch near the E. Henry's corner then near a north course crossing one fork of said branch to a white oak. Then a northwesterly course cross the head of a  shoal to a Turkey oak in the head of a cove. Then a southeasterly course to a spanish oak in the top of a ridge. Then down the hollow to a black oak near the head of a Meeting House Branch. Thence down and with the meanders of the Branch to a maple on the bank of the Branch then west to a stake in Orr's line. Then north with the same 13 poles to a stake then west 12 poles to a stake at the bank of the Branch that J.C. Orr now lives. Thence down and with the meander of said Branch north 13 east 28 poles to a stake on the branch of the river down and with the meander of the river to a stake in the mouth of a big branch. Then up and with the meander to the branch to the beginning containing one hundred and ninety acres to the same more or less. The above tract of land was originally granted in past to Joseph and Robert Henry in the year 1801 on the 26th day of September in part. The other a part of a tract granted to Joseph Henry deed in 1792 on the 20th day of November and have and to hold the deed granted land and premises to the said Joseph Henry his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever and the said Joseph Henry for himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns. The said lands and premises Heretitaments and appurtenance and all the rights titles interest and property therein to the said Joseph Henry Jr. his heirs executors administrators and assigns free and clear from and of all former gifts grants deeds titles mortgages dower right and title of dower judgments executions taxes assessments fines forfeitures procurements troubles and encumbrances of whatsoever nature from whatsoever form an extent had made done suffered or committed by the said Joseph Henry Sr. or by any other person or persons whatsoever by his heirs or due agency means of procurement against the claim or demand of all and every other person or persons whatsoever will now and at all other times hereafter now and truly warrant and defend by these presence. This indenture made the 21st day of May A.d. 1840 between Joseph Henry Sr. and his son Ephraim Henry, both of the County of Henderson and State of North Carolina witnesseth that the said Joseph Henry, Sr. for and in consideration of one dollar and one in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the further consideration of the natural love and affection which he hath and doth bear to the said Ephraim Henry, hath hereby given granted convey and swore and by these presence does give grant convey confirm and swore unto the said Ephraim Henry and to his heirs executors administrators and assigns the tracts or parcels of land. the first beginning upon a black oak upon the south side of French Broad River Orr's corner, running down the meander of the River to the mouth of the branch deed John Orr now lives on. Then south 13 west 28 poles to a stake on the old survey. Hence west 168 poles Orr's corner. Thence north 100 to the beginning. The second beginning upon a maple on the south side of French Broad river (Buela) Meeting House upon a branch running up said branch to a black oak. Hence up the hollow to a spanish oak upon the top of a ridge. Then a southerly course to a Turkey oak in the head of a cove. There a southeasterly course crossing the big branch at the head of the shoal to a white oak upon the top of a ridge. Thence near a south coarse crossing a small branch to a stake on the old line in the fork of a branch, then west with the same to a stake a corner of the same. Thence north 27 degrees east 142 poles to a black oak north the top off Orrs corner. Thence north 110 poles to a stake in the big road thence to the beginning. The two above named parcels containing one hundred and twenty eight acres more or less as will move fully and at large appear by sufferance to the original patent granted to Joseph Henry Dec. the 20th day of November 1792. The other grants to Robert Henry 1804 and of the second parcel being original granted to Joseph and Robert Henry's 1801 to have and to hold the said granted land and forever to the said Ephraim Henry his heirs executors admins and assigns and the said Joseph Henry Sr. for himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns the said lands and premises. Heretitament and appurtenances and all the right title interest and property therein to the said Ephraim Henry his heirs executors administrators and assign free and clear from and of all former deeds gifts grants titles mortgages dower rights and titles of dowers judgments executions taxes assessments fines forfeitures immencements troubles and incumbrances of whatsoever nature form or extend had made done suffered or committed the said Joseph Henry or any other person or persons whatsoever to his order agency means or procurement and against the claim or demand of all or every other person or persons whatsoever will now and at all time hereafter will and truly this warrant and defend by these presence in testimony whereof the said Joseph Henry here set his hand and affixed his seal this day and date first above written . The within deed of gift of the this duly proven in open court by the oath of George Orr a subscribing witness thereto considered and ordered to be registered.

This indenture made the 21st day of May in the year of our Lord 1840 between Joseph Henry Sr., and his son W B. Henry both of the County of Henderson and State of North Carolina witnesseth that the said Joseph Henry Sr. for and in consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the further consideration of the natural love and affection which he beareth towards the said Wm. B. Henry hath hereby given granted conveyed and swore and by these presence doth give grant convey confirm and swore unto the said Wm B Henry and his heirs executors administrators assigns a certain tract or parcel of land lying on north side of French Broad River. Beginning on a stake on the north of a spring Branch running up said Branch north 9 degrees west 194 poles to a small white oak at the edge of the big sweep thru east 66 poles to a black oak on the top of a big hill. Then north 16 1/2 degrees east 42 poles to a black oak by a spring head. Then a south 69 degrees east 1018 poles to a stake on John Orr's line. Then north the same south 130 poles to a hickory on the bank of the river said Orr's corner. Then a north the meander of the river south 65 degrees west 44 poles to a stake. Then south 41 degrees west 60 poles to a stake. Then south 70 degrees west 20 poles to a stake and then to the beginning containing two hundred acres to the same more or less as well move fully at large doth appear by the difference to the original patent granted to Joseph Henry seal - the 20th day of November 1792. The other to Robert Henry September 24th 1808. To have and to hold the said granted land and premises to the said Wm B Henry his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever and these aid Joseph Henry Sr. for himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns this said land and premises  Heretitaments and appurtenances and all the rights titles interests and property therein to the said Wm B Henry his heirs executors administrators and assigns free and clear from and of all former gifts grants deeds titles mortgages dowers rights and titles of dowers judgments executions taxes assessments fines forfeitures immercments troubles and incumbrances of whatsoever nature form or extent have made and suffered and committed by the said Joseph Henry Sr. or by any other person or person whatsoever by his order agency means or procurement and against the claim or demand of all and every other person or persons whatsoever will now and at all others hereafter will and truly warrant and defend by these presence.
