Hi: I had a weird dream this morning - talk about keeping your lamp lit.

This dream has a double meaning and I'm still working on it.

It was a simple dream:

 

 Starr ... the TV personality attorney who used to be on THE VIEW was having a birthday party for her boxer boyfriend (both are dark skinned people). She paid extra money to a group of women to wear white dresses and entertain her boxer boyfriend but to not let him touch them.

So, after discussing this for half an hour - trying to figure out if there was a dark star in the Pleiades (the dim seventh sister?) we finally came to a possible conclusion that the brown dwarf (Planet X is going to come into view from behind the sun. THAT CONCLUSION FITS ALL THE CLUES INCLUDING 'THE VIEW'UPDATE:  You will find information about the GOD ODIN below.  I just found this out today:

This morning I couldn't figure out what this would have to do with my job.. knowing political candidates. Now I remember that NASA has a helpdesk software called ODIN.

The Eighteenth-Century "Dark Star"

A dark star was a theoretical object that obeyed the laws of Newtonian mechanics, and had a surface escape velocity that equalled or exceeded the speed of light. A crude calculation would tell us that light emitted at the surface of a dark star should be trapped by the star’s gravity, but dark stars also supported indirect radiation effects – light (and matter) leaving the star's surface could escape a little way beyond the horizon before gravity turned it around and pulled it back in, and during that brief visit, these emissions had a chance of colliding with other passing particles and generating secondary signals outside the horizon, or even being knocked completely free. These indirect-radiation effects due to visiting particles generate effects that appear to have counterparts under quantum mechanics, that are usually blamed on virtual particles.

This "indirect radiation" mechanism doesn't exist under Einstein's geeneral theory of relativity. Under GR1915's observerspace conventions, since a photon emitted at or below r= 2M can't reach a distant observer (without help), it's considered never to have left the region bounded by the r = 2M surface at all. Under GR, this special surface (the event horizon) permanently screens off the contents of a black hole from the outside universe. The GR1915 counterpart of the dark star is not merely dark, its zero-emisisons make it utterly black, and since the outside observer can no longer sense any specifics about the event horizon's contents, it no longer appears as a conventional body, but as something like an informational "hole" (giving us the GR1915 phrase, "black hole").

The case of indirect radiation from a (hypothetical) dark star now seems to be accepted as a legitimate class of Hawking radiation (as an example of indirect radiation through an acoustic horizon), albeit in a non-GR1915 context. Current wisdom (circa 2008) seems to be that this is sheer coincidence and has no deeper significance ... but so far, the results of the "archaic" calculations don't seem to be distinguishable from their more modern QM counterparts – if you were to decide that GR1915 was wrong, and that Newtonian optics (with a few updates) was right, then you'd seem to get get "good" QM-compatible answers. Since quantum gravity researchers are now using acoustic metrics to model Hawking radiation across a gravitational horizon, dark stars give us a quick way of visualising the expected predictions of quantum gravity, without actually knowing anything about quantum gravity.

Although the Newtonian physics that generated the "dark star" description was obviously incomplete, its results demonstrate that Hawking radiation doesn't have to be QM-specific.


Dark star history

John Michell and dark stars

In 1783, John Michell wrote a long letter to Henry Cavendish describing the properties that we'd expect of stars with a high surface gravity. Michell's letter was then published by The Royal Society in their 1784 volume. Michell calculated that when a surface whose escape velocity was equal or greater than lightspeed generated light, that light would be gravitationally trapped, so that the star wouldn't be visible to a distant astronomer.

Michell’s idea for calculating the number of such “invisible” stars anticipated C20th astronomers' work: he suggested that since a certain proportion of double-star systems might be expected to contain at least one “dark” star, we could search for and catalogue as many double-star systems as possible, and identify cases where only a single circling star was visible. This would then provide some sort of statistical baseline for calculating the amount of other unseen stellar matter that might exist in addition to the visible stars.

Dark stars and gravitational shifts

Michell also suggested that future astronomers might be able to measure the surface gravity of distant stars that were outside this limit by measuring how far the star’s light was shifted to the weaker end of the spectrum, a precursor of Einstein’s 1911 gravity-shift argument.

However, Michell then cited Isaac Newton as saying that blue light was less energetic than red (Newton had thought that more massive particles were associated with "bigger" wavelengths), which put Michell’s predicted spectral shifts in the wrong direction. It's difficult to tell whether Michell’s careful citing of Newton’s position on this reflected a lack of conviction on Michell’s part over whether the mighty Newton was correct, or whether it just represented academic thoroughness.
If Michell had been able to use the correct proportional relationship between the energy and frequency of light, then he'd have been faced with the same apparent paradox that confronted Einstein in 1911: that if someone observing a weaker-gravity object saw that object to have a gravitational blueshift, the only way they could see an increased frequency persisting indefinitely would be if the weaker-gravity object was ageing more quickly, and if the local rate of timeflow was a function of background gravitational field intensity.

Laplace and dark stars

A few years later, Pierre-Simon Laplace also considered the idea of gravitationally-cloaked stars in his book, “System du Monde”, apparently independently of Michell. Laplace's mention of the concept was fleeting, and was apparently removed from later editions of his book. However, since Michell's work (in England) got hit rather harder by the political fallout (and ensuing coverup) associated with the Newtonian Catastrophe than Laplace's (in revolutionary France), citations of Laplace's work survived more easily, and until comparatively recently, the concept of the dark star was generally attributed to Laplace rather than to Michell.

In Brief ...

  • Dark stars are “dirty” and they “smell” – they support an atmosphere (“dirt”) and they emit EM radiation and particulate matter (“smell”). A dark star will smell of whatever it was that you originally fed it.

  • GR1915's black holes are clean and smell-free. They have no proper sustainable atmosphere (although they may have accretion disks) and they thermselves emit no radiation at all (although hot infalling accreted matter around them may radiate strongly).

  • QM’s description of black holes differs from GR’s – according to QM black holes are again “dirty” and “smelly” ... but it's not yet agreed exactly what a QM black hole ought to smell of. Since dark stars and quantum-mechanical black holes both obey the same basic statistical laws of thermodynamics and information theory, it's not immediately obvious how we would tell these two sets of predictions ... pre-GR1915, and post-GR1915 ... apart.

Recent work on QM and black hole theory has tended to recreate characteristics that existed in the "Newtonian" descriptions, but were absent in the GR1915 version, for instance, post-2005 it has been increasingly recognised that the information encoded in Hawking radiation must relate to information that previously fell into a black hole: the characteristics of the emissions from the hole depend on the hole's contents.

DREAM - I was in a large building that had apartments on the lowest level, the first floor - a school on the second level, and a church for the residents above it.

On the lowest level people lived in the apartments, and they were given information from the school above them on the second level. It was a special school, where they did astronomy, astrology, and made maps and drawings - all on the study of a Star named Hades which they said was coming. They were trying to figure out when it was coming and hadn't quite figured it out yet. They just knew it had been in our skies before and it was coming back at some point.

Some of the people who got copies of the drawings were already moving out of the building in preparation to find a place safe to live from the Star Hades arrival.

I saw a copy of the drawing of the Star. It was explained to me that when drawing the Star Hades, one shouldn't draw it in the center of the picture - one should start the drawing with the star on the left and then a big space which was black to the right of it. The danger wasn't from the Star itself, but the passage of the Star through space. They said the danger would start even before the Star Hades could be seen.

The date hadn't been figured out yet, and the school was working feverishly on figuring it out.

In one of the apartments where the people had moved out, someone had left a dresser drawer open because they just left the furniture behind and just took their clothing and food with them. I looked in the open drawer and found six large gold coins - larger than coins we would spend at the store - they were palm size. When one held them in the palm of the hand, just the fingers and thumb could surround the coins \and the palm hid them from view. They were so large, one couldn't make a fist around them.

I didn't want anyone to know I took the six gold coins which I noticed had a large picture of the sun with rays all the way around it, so I palmed them and started running up the stairs to find a new place to hide the coins.

A blonde, blue-eyed friend saw me run through the hall and up the stairs, and she decided to run after me to tell me more information about the Star Hades, but I didn't want her to see that I had the gold coins with the sun engraved on them.

I ran up to the third level and went past the church which was having a service. I could hear them singing a song which evidently was about God protecting them from Hades.

Little did they know they were singing about the Star that was coming.

My blonde friend continued to follow me, so I ran up to the fourth level. In the beginning it was finished off, but when I got to the center of the building, the roof and walls were just bare, unpainted boards, like an attic and I hollered back to my friend, "This is unusable. There are no windows.

Just then, six men came out of the darkness, wearing dark blue clothes like workmen would wear. They seemed to be in pairs, two by two by two. The first two men, said they should grab me and my friend and rape us. The middle two seemed uncommitted to the act, and the third two men said that their Father was a member of the FBI and the first two would be caught by their Father.

So, my friend and I were allowed to leave and go back downstairs and when we got there, all we could talk about was the drawings of the Star Hades. We knew that people had to know about it, but there was no way for two women to communicate to the whole world about the coming of the Star Hades. So, we decided we would make two copies of the drawing for each family we knew, and tell them to make copies for each person they knew, with instructions for them to make two copies for each person they knew. In that way, the word would spread to the whole world, as long as each person did what they were instructed to do.

NOTES: I don't know what I did with the six gold coins, but I no longer had them in my hand when I went back downstairs.

From previous mediations, you can see below in 2009 that I saw three stars. The red star is the third star. Planet X and Nibiru are said to be red or brown stars. If you look at both links below for Hercolubus and the Star from Hell, they are both red / brown stars, and I believe they are the same object.

NOTE: Comet Elenin is NOT dangerous even though it will come close to earth. Planet X and Nibiru are both larger than Jupiter. The NASA photo shows Jupiter and Elenin in the same photo. Elenin is very small.

Having written about Nibiru and Planet X before, I was unfamiliar with Hercolubus, so it was important to do some research on it as it sounded important.

I need to state up front that I do not believe the Nibiru and Planet X are the same object in space, so I am looking for Planet X - not Nibiru, which I and a friendly lightbeing wrote about at: http://www.greatdreams.com/nibiru.htm

I am attempting to cover all the angles I could come up with to thoroughly investigate Hercolubus. I have sent for the book which was written about it, but since its coming from Europe, it will take at least a month to get it, so I didn't want to wait that long to do my own research which follows:

WHAT IS A SIDEREAL YEAR?

A sidereal year is the time taken by the Earth to orbit the Sun once with respect to the fixed stars. Hence it is also the time taken for the Sun to return to the same position with respect to the fixed stars after apparently travelling once around the ecliptic. It was equal to 365.256363004 days1 at noon 1 January 2000 (J2000.0). This is 20m24.5128s longer than the mean tropical year at J2000.0.1 The word "sidereal" is derived from the Latinsidus meaning "star".

Apparent motion of the Sun against the stars

As the Earth orbits the Sun, the apparent position of the Sun against the stars gradually moves along the ecliptic, passing through the twelve traditional constellations of the zodiac, and returning to its starting point after one sidereal year. This motion is difficult to observe directly because the stars cannot be seen when the Sun is in the sky. However, if one looks regularly at the sky before dawn, the annual motion is very noticeable: the last stars seen to rise are not always the same, and within a week or two an upward shift can be noted. As an example, in July in the Northern Hemisphere, Orion cannot be seen in the dawn sky, but in August it becomes visible.

For two weeks, Pluto has undergone the impact, heating and disturbance of a new celestial body next to its orbit. The reason: A Brown Dwarf as large as 1.9Mj than is positioned right in “Sagitario”, and that at the moment is disturbing the Pluto orbit. But not only the one of Pluto, also, she is disturbing the orbit of Jupiter, and the rest of planets of the Solar System. In fact, the Sun, has emitted CMEs during the last weeks that have brought about a displacement of our geomagnetic axis exactly in 19º, as well as an increase of the seismicity of 1.33 MW with respect to the average seismicity of year 2008, reason why “literally” the binary theory “of our Solar System” is confirmed. Something comes near, and clearly, the tip of the cloud of Oort in the zone of Sagitario, is caused by a Brown Dwarf, who in addition, can visualize in the WorldWideTelescope, (WWT), just, drawing up the Pluto orbit.

Marcy, and Horseradish tree. R. Oppenheimer. The model has been closed. Especially when day 17 of 2009 July, Basket affirms in a press note, That” the Asteroid belt can very have formed far from the sun “. The Basket tries to tell something to us of slanted form, but already it is an advance. There now, already it is a fact, We have our Brown Dwarf, interacting with Pluto and Bombardeando asteroids of Oort against Pluto and Jupiter. They next attack NASA whom they accuse of hiding this information and ridiculing anyone trying to bring the truth of this matter out in the open. They name the object and even tell exactly from where it comes.

They detailed a brief form of the results of their investigations..
1º. - The G1.9+0.3 Object, is highly susceptible to be considered like a Body of T1.9 type, with an approximated mass of 1.9MJ, and to be located to an orbital distance that oscillates between 60UA and 66UA.

2º. - The residual heat disturbances in the phantom microwaves, reflect a temperature of 2,700 Degrees Kelvin, coming from the analyzed zone, circumstance that is explained by the methane presence. The mass analysis, in 3D, confirms, this circumstance, and additionally the image obtained by chandra, fits “exactly” in the data modeling observed.

3º. - In the infrared phantom, it can see clearly, that this blue color, corresponds with an object whose sphericity, it is demonstrated, and it shows methane, in its composition.

4º. - This Object T, comes accompanied, at least by other two orbital bodies (satellites), whose composition, mass and orbit, it is still controverted, although, both seem to be solid bodies. (Rocky).

Spanish Astronomers Claim Dwarf Sun Beyond Pluto

The idea of a new planet being discovered in our Solar System is pretty exciting. Even more so because of the many theories about "planet-x" or "Nibiru" being associated with space aliens and the doomsday prophecies of 2012.

An estimated $300-million mission, the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, or "Wise," has been in the planning stages for the past eight years. It is scheduled to launch into an Earth orbit in late 2009. It will spend seven months collecting data.

Such extensive sky coverage means the mission will find and catalogue all sorts of celestial eccentrics. These may include brown dwarfs, or failed stars, that are closer to Earth than Proxima Centauri, the nearest star other than our sun. Brown dwarfs are balls of gas that begin life like stars but lack the mass to ignite their internal fires and light up like normal stars. They do, however, produce warm infrared glows that Wise will be able to see.

"Brown dwarfs are lurking all around us," said Dr. Peter Eisenhardt, project scientist for the mission at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif. "We believe there are more brown dwarfs than stars in the nearby universe, but we haven't found many of them because they are too faint in visible light."

Wright, Eisenhardt and other scientists recently identified brown dwarfs using NASA's infrared Spitzer Space Telescope. Wise will vastly expand the search, uncovering those brown dwarfs closest to Earth that might make ideal targets for future planet-hunting missions. Recent Spitzer findings support the notion that planets might orbit brown dwarfs."

Hercolubus

It will be impossible to push this tremendous mass of a planet out of the way with mere nuclear bombs. This same planet brought Atlantis to an end. Before Atlantis existed, it annihilated the existence of another continent. There are some questions about heavenly mechanics, which are unknown to the present science. One of them is that related to Hercolubus approach, a planet whose name comes from the ancient knowledge. The fact of its approach to our solar system is not only a near fact that everybody will be able to see, but it will also result in big upheavals all over the world.

As in life’s ups and downs everything returns to its beginning or its end, it already happened that Hercolubus, in its former approach, put a stop to the Atlantis´ civilization. These facts, well known by all that personages who, in the course of the History enjoyed Awake Consciousness, were properly narrated through all the `world-wide Floods´ coming from different religions and cultures.

A lot of writers have talked about such cosmic phenomenon throughout the ages. One of them, V.M. Rabolú, was one of those people who enjoyed the Faculties of the Awake Consciousness, which let him investigate about this heavenly body’s approach.

We have picked out the next paragraphs from his book, entitled `Hercolubus or Red Planet´:

`When Hercolubus comes nearer the earth, and it places itself at the same height as the sun, some mortal epidemics will begin to spread all over the world and doctors or official science will not know what kind of diseases they are and how to cure them. They will remain impotent in the face of these epidemics. ´

`The moment of tragedy and darkness will arrive: shakings, earthquakes, tidal waves. Human beings will become mentally unbalanced because of the lack of sleep and food. And watching this danger, they will throw themselves altogether into the cliff, completely insane. ´

`What I affirm in this book is a very short-term prophecy, because I know for sure the end of this planet, I know it. I am not trying to scare, but warning, because I am anguished for this poor mankind, because the facts will not keep us waiting and there is no time to waste in illusory things. ´

V.M. Rabolú teaches in his book the systems of eliminating psychological defects and astral projection as the only existing way of escaping from the forthcoming cataclysm. He finishes saying:

`Dear reader, I am speaking very clearly in order to make you understand the necessity for undertaking a serious work, because the person who is doing this work is removed from danger. This is not for you to theorize or discuss but to experience the real teaching I am offering you in this book, because we do not have any other thing to call on´.

In Gnosis this planet is known as “Hercolubus”. In the Bible this planet is referred to as “Wormwood”, while modern astronomers have named it “Barnard I”. Hercolubus is about 600 times the size of the Earth, and so as the orbits of the two planets get closer their gravitational and magnetic fields exert forces on one another.

Barnard's Star is about 6 light years from us.

Barnard's Star, an old and very dim red dwarf, was once thought to have two Jupiter-class planets.

  • System Summary

    This dim star is the second closest to Sol after Alpha Centauri 3. It is located about 6.0 light-years away in the northernmost part (17:57:48.5+04:41:36.2, ICRS 2000.0) of Constellation Ophiuchus, the Serpent Holder -- west ofCebalrai or Kelb al Rai (Beta Ophiuchi). The star was named after its discoverer, noted astronomer Edward Emerson Barnard (1857-1923), who found in 1916 that the star has the largest known proper motion of all known stars (10.3 arcseconds per year). This high apparent speed is the result of its proximity to Sol as well as actual speed of travel through interstellar space. In fact, Barnard's Star is approaching Sol rapidly at 140 kilometers per second (87 miles/second) and will get as close as 3.8 light-years (ly) around 11,800 CE. Like other red dwarfs, however, it is not visible to the naked eye.

    Due to Barnard's proximity to Sol, the star has been an object of intense interest among astronomers. It has been selected as a

    "Tier 1" target star for NASA's optical Space Interferometry Mission (SIM) to detect a planet as small as three Earth-masses within two AUs of its host star (and so some summary system information and images of Barnard's Star are available from the SIM Teams). Astronomers are also hoping to use the ESA's Darwin group of infrared interferometers to analyze the atmospheres of any rocky planet found in the "habitable zone" (HZ) around Barnard's Star for evidence of Earth-type life (Lisa Kaltenegger, 2005).

    The Star

    A very cool and dim, main sequence red dwarf (M3.8 Ve), Barnard's Star has less than 17 percent of Sol's mass (

    RECONS estimate), 15 to 20 percent of its diameter (Dawson and de Robertis, 2004; and Ochsenbein and Halbwachs, 1982, page 529), around 4/10,000th of its visual luminosity -- 0.00346 of its bolometric luminosity (Dawson and de Robertis, 2004), and between 10 and 32 percent of its abundance of elements heavier than hydrogen -- "metallicity" (John E. Gizis, 1997, page 820). According to calculations by Dr. Sten Odenwald, substituting Barnard's Star for Sol would give the Earth such a dim and very red Sun that it would only be 100 times brighter than the Full Moon, and so the planet would freeze solid at the surface.

    Unlike Sol, Barnard's appears to be an old star that formed before the galaxy became much enriched with heavy elements (Monet et al, 1992, page 655). Its high space motion and sub-Solar metallicity suggests that the star is an intermediate Population II star," somewhere between a Halo and a disk star (Kürster et al, 2003; and John E. Gizis, 1997). Moreover, its low x-ray luminosity and presumed rotation period of 130.4 days also indicate that it is an old, inactive red dwarf. While the star may be as much as 11 or 12 billion years old (Ken Croswell, 2005), it may last another another 40 billion years or more before cooling into a black dwarf. A small star spot that was shrinking in size may have been observed on Barnard's recently with the Hubble Space Telescope (Benedict et al, 1998). Small periodic variations have been observed which probably result from the "rotational modulation of starspots" (Benedict et al, 1998) and which suggest that the old star rotates slowly (only around once every 130 days) and so should not produce significant flares with regularity from rotational magnetic activity . a hot bluish flare lasting at least an hour may have brightened thar by a half magnitude or more (from its magnitude of 9.55), where the flare's temperature was at least 8,000 Kelvin which would be more than double the star's (Ken Croswell, 2005 and Paulson et al, 2005)). Barnard's has been given the variable star designation V2500 Ophiuchus as well as the New Suspected Variable star designated NSV 9910. Some other useful star catalogue numbers include: V2500 Oph, Gl 699, Hip 87937, BD+04 3561a, LHS 57, LTT 15309, LFT 1385, G 140-24, Vys/McC 799, and Munich 15040.

    A Planetary System?

    Astronomers have long sought to find perturbations ("wobbles") in this star's motion that could be due to planet-sized companions. During the late 1960s,

    Peter van de Kamp (1901-1995) announced the detection of possibly two coplanar and corevolving planets, whose estimated masses were fine-tuned in 1982 to be about 0.7 and 0.5 of Jupiter's mass with orbital periods of 12 and 20 years, respectively, in "approximately" circular orbits based on astrometric positions obtained from 1938 to 1981 (van de Kamp, 1982). Until his death in 1995, Van de Kamp devoted most of his life (at atSproul Observatory at (Swarthmore College) to analyzing over 2,000 plates of Barnard's Star that he and his students had taken from 1938 through 1981.

    Neither planet was ever verified, however, and more recent observations withHubble Space Telescope have failed to yield supporting evidence for a large Jupiter(Schroeder et al, 2000). Some astronomers suspected that van de Kamp's data were distorted by the cleaning and remounting of the telescope lens at Sproul, 25 years after he began his observations. In 1995, George G. Gatewood (director of the University of Pittsburgh's Allegheny Observatory) suggested that, while brown dwarfs exceeding Jupiter's mass by more than 10 times could not exist around Barnard's Star, planets having a mass smaller than Jupiter's may possibly be present. Subsequent astrometric measurements set even more stringent upper mass limits of 2.1 down to 0.37 Jupiter-masses for orbital periods of 50 up to 600 days (Benedict et al, 1999).     Kürster et al, 2003). For the separation range of 0.017 to 0.98 AU, the team's data suggests the exclusion of any planet with msin(i) greater than 0.12 Jupiter-mass and mass greater than 0.86 percent of Jupiter's. Throughout the habitable zone around Barnard's star from 0.034 to 0.082 AU, the data appear to exclude planets with msin(i) greater than 7.5 Earth-masses and a mass greater than 3.1 times face, an Earth-type rocky planet would have to be located very close to such a cool and dim red dwarf(Kürster et al, 2003). At such close distances, such a planet can easily become tidally locked -- with one side in perpetual day -- and race around the star in 5.75 to 21.5 (or three weeks). Some astronomers have suggested that any rocky planets that formed around Barnard's are likely to be sparse in the heavier elements of the atomic table, and that there may be a greater probability of gas giants made mostly of hydrogen and helium in cold, outer orbits.

    • One story is that the Ancient Greeks named this constellation after Aesculapius (the first doctor, a son of Apollo and Coronis, and grandfather of Hippocrates, the famous Greek physician).     Hercolubus and the Seven Races

    The subject of Gnostic anthropology explores the history of our planet Earth, and describes in detail the civilizations that have inhabited the Earth in the past and that will inhabit it in the future. Gnostic anthropology is radically different than what present-day historical, anthropological, and archaeological texts teach us, and is best studied with an open mind and with the help of inner meditation. A study of Gnostic anthropology will enable us to see more clearly where our present civilization stands, as well as where we personally stand, with respect to the overall history of the planet. "History repeats itself" is a profound statement, not only because social and political incidents seem to recur, but because larger cosmic cycles and events also repeat themselves. These major cycles determine the final destiny of humanity, and by understanding them we are able to grasp where our civilization is headed.

    Gnostic anthropology is primarily concerned with the major races of humanity that inhabit the Earth at different times. Every planet must support seven major races of humanity, called "root races", during the planet's existence. After these seven races have emerged, subsisted, and dissipated from its surface, the planet becomes a lifeless moon. During the previous cosmic day our moon was a planet full of life. Following the course of every planet, however, it supported its seven root races and eventually became what it is today - a barren, lifeless moon that now orbits the Earth.

    Present-day humanity is part of the fifth root race of the Earth, called the Arian race. The first root race was the Protoplasmatic race. These beings were fully awake, divine individuals, with bodies that were semi-physical, semi-etheric. They were androgynous beings, having neither male nor female sexual organs. They lived on the continent of Thule, which was located where the North Pole is now found. The second root race was the Hyperborean race. These beings lived on the continent of Hyperborea, in what in now Northern Europe. They were also awake, divine, and androgynous beings, and reproduced by fragmentation. The third root race was the Lemurian civilization. The Lemurians inhabited the great continent of Mu, which was found where the Pacific Ocean is now located. The first half of the Lemurian race consisted of beings that were hermaphrodite, whose bodies had both sets of sexual organs. The splitting of the sexes into male and female occurred during the second half of the Lemurian civilization. The fourth root race was the Atlantean race. These beings inhabited the continent of Atlantis, located where the Atlantic Ocean now stands. After the submersion of Atlantis, the fifth root race to inhabit the Earth is our current Arian race. The sixth and seventh root races are yet to come, following the end of our Arian civilization.

    Each root race exists on Earth for as long as it takes the solar system to go around the entire zodiacal belt. This length of time is called a "sidereal year", and is documented in modern astronomy. Each sidereal year lasts 25,68 years, and, for the purposes of Gnostic anthropology, begins and ends when the Earth is found in the zodiacal constellation of Aquarius. The Earth stays within each constellation for 2164 years before moving on to the next. Following Aquarius it moves to Capricorn, then to Sagittarius, and so on. At the end of the sidereal year the Earth completes the cycle by moving from Pisces back to Aquarius. On February 4, 1962 the Earth passed from the constellation of Pisces to that of Aquarius, and we thus entered the Aquarian Age.

    During its life-span over the course of one sidereal year, a root race undergoes four seasons, or ages: a Golden, Silver, Copper, and Iron Age. During the Golden Age, no member of the race possesses the psychological ego. It is a true "Golden Age", and during this period the esoteric mysteries are alive and flourish. The psychological ego begins to take form in the Silver Age. It is still a noble period, but the mysteries have begun to lose a bit of their light. The light of the mysteries continues to diminish in the copper age, as the ego expands, while this light is almost completely gone in the Iron Age, when the ego is fully alive and present. This relationship of the ego with the four ages began with the Lemurian civilization, and recurred again during the Atlantean and Arian races.

    A root race begins at the start of a sidereal year. The Golden Age begins while the Earth is in Aquarius, and, as the Earth moves through the zodiacal belt, the ages also progress: from the Golden, to the Silver, to the Copper, and finally to the Iron Age. By the time the Earth enters Pisces and then returns to Aquarius, the Iron Age of a civilization has begun.

    During the Iron Age a civilization has degenerated from the time of its Golden Age. The degree of degeneration, however, is particular to each race. The Protoplasmatic and Hyperborean races had not declined during their Iron Age because they were awake and divine beings, not possessing the psychological ego. The Lemurians reached a certain level of degeneration, while the Atlanteans declined even further. Our current Arian race, however, has reached a degree of degeneration that has not been matched during the entire history of the Earth. The amount of ego that we carry in our psyches is vastly greater than the ego possessed by previous races. Wars, hatred, envy, violence, environmental destruction, ill-will, etc. are commonplace in today's society. Since the Iron Age of a civilization occurs near the end of the sidereal year, every race comes to an end during its Iron Age. It can be considered as the Earth "purging" itself from the corrupt humanity that is inhabiting it.

    Although every root race exists on the Earth for only one sidereal year, the period of time between the end of one race and the beginning of the next can be many thousands or millions of years. In other words each root race lasts for only one sidereal year, but many sidereal years may pass before the next root race begins. But why does each race end? What brings about its demise, thus preparing the way for the next race? To properly answer these questions it is necessary to understand certain cosmic cycles that have occurred and that will continue to occur throughout the entire life-span of the planet Earth.

    Hercolubus never comes close enough to physically collide with the Earth, but due to its size exerts very strong gravitational and electromagnetic forces. These forces cause great natural catastrophes to occur on the Earth, such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tidal waves, hurricanes, etc. In addition, Hercolubus' gravitational fields cause the Earth's axis of rotation to tilt. Currently it is tilted about 23 degrees from its original position, and as Hercolubus comes closer and closer the tilting will accelerate. This will result in the poles becoming the equator and vice versa. Currently we are in the 37th year of the Age of Aquarius. Hercolubus and the Earth reach their closest distance during the beginning of the Aquarian Age; the natural catastrophes that have resulted have been responsible for the end of the previous four root races, and will be responsible for the end of our present civilization. We are already seeing more natural disasters throughout the world than in the past. As Hercolubus approaches these disasters will accelerate exponentially.

    The encounter of the Earth with Hercolubus takes place every sidereal year, and is thus a natural cosmic event. The first few races were not afraid of the disasters since they had not degenerated. They still had extraordinary powers, and used them to escape the catastrophes. The Protoplasmatic and Hyperborean races, for example, simply submerged themselves into the 4th dimension when the catastrophes began multiplying. The portion of the Lemurian civilization that had not degenerated did the same, while the rest perished. The vast majority of the Atlanteans died during the submersion of Atlantis, but a small minority was able to escape. Unfortunately, due to the extreme degeneration of the Arian race, there will be few who will survive the upcoming cataclysms.

    Master Samael Aun Weor openly declares in his writings that we are at the times of the end. He states that when the disasters begin occurring , those who have eliminated 50% of their psychological ego will be taken to a place where they will be safe from the catastrophes. They will watch, in safety, the cataclysms that will take placed on the rest of the planet, while continuing to work on themselves in order to eliminate the rest of their ego. This group of people will provide the seed for the sixth root race, and no one with ego will be allowed to inhabit the Earth during the Golden Age of that race. This is why the Gnostic teachings, which were taught in secrecy only in authentic mystery schools, are now being made freely available to the public - in order for whoever genuinely works on himself or herself to be able to escape the upcoming disasters.

    In order to eliminate the psychological ego and to awaken consciousness we must practice the Three Factors for the Revolution of Consciousness. The Three Factors are the foundation and the essence of the Gnostic Esoteric Work. By practicing the Three Factors we will be able to study Gnostic anthropology in an experiential manner, and to verify its validity through direct, personal, and conscious experience. In this way we will not naively believe or disbelieve, but rather we will know the truth for ourselves.


    Celestial Mechanics and the Times of the End


    Obviously we find ourselves in the times of the end..

    When we look at the earth with its four seasons, we understand quite well. Our planet rotates around the Sun in 365 days, some minutes and fractions of seconds; this is called a terrestrial year that has four seasons: spring, summer, fall and winter.

    We cannot deny that there also exists the sidereal year, the cosmic year. Our solar system of "ORS" in which we move and have our Being, journeys around the zodiacal belt in 25, 920 years and this journey of the solar system around the zodiacal belt is what constitutes a sidereal year.

    The sidereal year, just as the terrestrial year, has four seasons: spring, summer, fall and winter.

    The spring of the sidereal year is the golden age in which life is a true Eden; humanity comes out perfect from the hands of the Creator, the solar hierarchies govern and happiness throbs and palpitates everywhere.

    In summer, or the silver age of the sidereal year, the first splendor pales a little, the solar hierarchies continue governing a world without borders, a world where there is only peace and love.

    In the fall, or copper age of the sidereal year, humanity begins with its borders and its wars with its hatreds and its crimes.

    However, in winter or the iron age, everything ends with a frightful cataclysm. We find ourselves precisely in winter, in the age of Kali Yuga, in the iron age. Every time that a race arrives at the iron age, at Kali Yuga, it perishes because of a great cataclysm.

    What would we say about the Lemurians? They perished because of rain, fire and earthquakes!

    And what of the Atlanteans? What has been said? What do the sacred books say? Truly everyone affirms that there was a universal flood. It was then that the axes of the earth turned moved and millions of inhabitants perished in the waters of the Atlantic ocean.

    The beginning of the end of this Arian race began in the constellation of Aquarius. It was then that the sun began its journey, along with all the planets of the solar system, around the zodiacal belt. A race lasts as long as one journey of the solar system around the zodiacal constellations.

    And now, it has returned to its starting point. The sidereal year is concluding and before long it will have arrived at its end.

    During the journey of the solar system around the zodiacal belt, the poles of the earth begin deviating.

    The axes of the earth will be changed. We already know that the magnetic pole does not coincide with the geographical pole. The North Pole is melting...In this manner then, the revolution of the earth's axes is a fact and can be demonstrated with perfect mechanical apparatus.

    Add to this something unexpected. I want to refer to Hercolubus, the gigantic monster that is to swallow our planet earth.

    ...it is a gigantic, powerful world, six times bigger than Jupiter, and it belongs to the Tyler solar system. It is not, as many suppose, a displaced planet from some solar system. It has not been displaced, it rotates around the gravitational center of the Tyler solar system.

    Before long, that gigantic world will pass through at an angle to our solar system and it will precipitate a catastrophe. In celestial mechanics, Hercolubus helps to make the poles vertical; it is a cog in the great machiner. The approach of Hercolobus is at our door.

    ...when Hercolubus passes close to the earth, obviously it will precipitate a catastrophe. The gigantic world possesses an extraordinary force of attraction and consequently, the fire of the volcanoes will leap out here, there and everywhere.

    The liquid fire in the interior of the Earth originates new volcanoes and in general, the igneous element will make everything burn that is and everything that has been. That is why Peter states, "The elements, burning, will be wasted and earth and all the works upon it will be burnt..."

    Water will sing a duet with fire, the revolution of the earth's axes will change the seabeds and all human beings will perish.

    I repeat that astronomers already have Hercolubus in their sight. It is a powerful giant that will pass through at an angle to our solar system. When this happens, the revolution of the earth's axes will violently accelerate, and then the catastrophe will come.

    Some scientists propose to push Hercolubus further away with atomic explosions and this will be useless. It is impossible with pure atomic bombs to push further away a monstrous, gigantic, powerful planet.

    Before Atlantis existed, it also did away with another continent. We know very well that the continent of Mu or Lemuria, through ten thousand years of earthquakes and incessant volcanic eruptions, came to sink in the waters of the Pacific ocean.

    When Hercolubus passed through at the end of Kali Yuga,, at an angle to our solar system, on the continent of Atlantis there came the universal flood, the seas were displaced, changing beds, and Atlantis was finished.

    The remains of Atlantis are the Canary Islands, etc., just as the remains of the Lemurian continent is Easter Island, facing the coast of Chile, the archipelago of Oceania, Australia, etc.

    2º. - The residual heat disturbances in the phantom microwaves, reflect a temperature of 2,700 Degrees Kelvin, coming from the analyzed zone, circumstance that is explained by the methane presence. The mass analysis, in 3D, confirms, this circumstance, and additionally the image obtained by chandra, fits “exactly” in the data modeling observed.

    3º. - In the infrared phantom, it can see clearly, that this blue color, corresponds with an object whose sphericity, it is demonstrated, and it shows methane, in its composition.

    Spanish Astronomers Claim Dwarf Sun Beyond Pluto

    The idea of a new planet being discovered in our Solar System is pretty exciting. Even more so because of the many theories about "planet-x" or "Nibiru" being associated with space aliens and the doomsday prophecies of 2012.

    Scientists at places like NASA and famous observatories have deflected inquiries about the discovery for a few years now, mainly because they feared being associated with these "fringe" theories. But like it or not -- it has happened. Well... according to a team of Spanish artronomers who call themselves the StarViewer Team.

    The group made the rounds of all the news web sites in the past two weeks, claiming they discovered something very significant. It's almost twice the size of Jupiter and just beyond our furthest planetoid, Pluto. Although it's not a planet, it appears to have planets or large satellites encircling it. It's what astronomers call a "brown dwarf star" and its official name is "G1.9".

    What's a Brown Dwarf Star?

    First we'll explain WHAT these astronomers have discovered. Then we'll discuss HOW they discovered it.

    At the risk of being scientifically vague, I'll try to explain the current understanding of how stars and planets form in space.

    All matter attracts other matter. A larger mass will attract smaller masses towards it. In space this results in growing clouds of matter that tend to clump together and attract more matter. Since most of the matter in space is gaseous, these clouds eventually get so dense that they collapse into dense gaseous spheres. When they do this there is usually some "left over" matter that forms a ring around the sphere.

    If there is enough matter in a sphere of hydrogen, for example, it can cause so much compression at the shpere's core that the hydrogen atoms begin to fuse together and a fusion-reaction ignites a new born star. In this reaction two hydrogen atoms join together to form one helium atom and release extra energy as radiation.

    Scientists believe that the minimum mass needed to ignite a sun is about 13 times the known mass of the planet Jupiter -- written as "13MJ." If the mass is lower than this, the pressure in the core is not enough to ignite and the sphere will be hot ball of gas called a "brown dwarf."

    As a new star spins, the disk surrounding it gradually cools and the matter forms heavier elements like metals and minerals. These "rocks" eventually clump together and form solid spheres called planets.

    Sometimes a solid sphere will attract some of the gas that is in the disk and this will result in a gaseous giant, like Jupiter and Saturn, which has a solid core but a thick gaseous atmosphere. These "gas giant" planets can be very massive but, because of their solid cores, they will never ignite and become stars.

    This Brown Dwarf

    This newly discovered "brown dwarf" is believed to have formed from the same condensed matter that gave birth to our Sun. It is believed that, after the large planets formed around the Sun, they pushed it to the edge of the Solar system where it formed a sphere about 1.9MJ -- well below the mass needed to ignite it as a "sun."

    Nemesis

    The theory of a companion sun is not new. It has often been described as Nemesis, after the Greek figure in mythology.

    The mythological Nemesis was the spirit of divine retribution against those who succumb to hubris, vengeful fate personified as a remorseless goddess. The name Nemesis is related to the G

    Nemesis is now often used as a term to describe one's worst enemy, normally someone or something that is the exact opposite of oneself but is also somehow similar. For example, Professor Moriarty is frequently described as the nemesis of Sherlock Holmes.

    "Opposite yet similar" is the perfect description for a companion to our Sun. But the name Nemesis also implies a sinister nature. Will this new Nemesis be beneficial or harmful to our lives?

    Many suns that we observe in the galaxy are part of binary systems or double stars. There is debate about how two suns form from a single condensed cloud of matter. Some believe that they both form at the same time; others believe they split following the creation of one huge sun.

    Sometimes both spheres are capable of fusion and both suns shine brightly, encircling each other around an imaginary point call the barycenter. Sometimes only one sun attains 13MJ and ignites, while its smaller companion, the brown dwarf, glows dimly and radiates heat. Astronomers usually can only see the brightest of the two, but because they both circle around a common barycenter, the wobble reveals the mass of the unseen companion.

    We are close to our Sun and within its gravitational influence. So as we are travel through space, it appears to us that the G1.9 is moving in an elipse between our furthest planetoid, Pluto, and the edge of our Solar system, near the Oort Cloud.

    The newly discovered brown dwarf is reported to be located just about 60 to 66 AU (1 AU=the distance from the Sun to Earth) from us (its parigee), currently in the direction of the constellation Sagittarius. Because of periodic gravitational disturbances in areas of space further out, specifically in the Oort Cloud, the Spanish group of astronomers believe G1.9 travels in an elliptical orbit extending possibly hundreds of AU beyond the furthest known planets (its apogee). Its position just beyond Pluto suggests it is at its closest approach to the Sun and Earth.

  • Space appears relatively free of debris [see image above] inside the planetary orbits. This is because the gravitational pull of each planet (a large mass) effectively collects the interplanetary debris (small mass). But there are exceptions.

    Belts of Debris

    Between Mars and Jupiter you will see a ring of debris called The Asteroid Belt. It is believed that a planet once orbited in this area before it was pulverized by some type of impact. Many theorists believe this was caused by a rogue planet that entered the Solar System -- again hinting at the existence of some unknown member of our planetary system.

    Beyond the furthest planetoid, Pluto, there is a large ring of debris called the Kuiper Belt. While the asteroid belt is composed primarily of rock and metal, the Kuiper belt objects are composed largely of frozen volatiles (termed "ices"), such as methane, ammonia and water.

    As we get to the edge of the Solar System we enter another debris zone, the Oort Cloud. The Oort is not a band of debris but rather a spherical shell that surrounds the Solar System and extends out to the edge of the Sun's gravitational field. This region is thought to contain frozen clumps of water, methane, ethane, carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide. It's also the birth place of comets. However, the discovery of the object 1996-PW, an asteroid in an orbit more typical of a long-period comet, suggests that the cloud may also be home to rocky objects.

    Debris "fly-paper"

    Jupiter and Saturn are extremely massive and have such strong gravity that they attract meteors and comets entering the planetary zone of our Solar System. They protect smaller planets like our Earth from impacts, acting like a fly-paper for meteors, comets and asteroids.

    In August of 2009, Jupiter captured a large asteroid that entered the planetary zone unexpectedly, despite the efforts of astronomers to track these dangerous objects. It is believed that this asteroid was perturbed by the trajectory of G1.9, which until now, was not recognized and accounted for.

    How it was discovered... the controversy

    You might well ask why astronomers have never detected this object before. In fact they did. G1.9 was first identified as a "supernova remnant" in 1984 by Dave Green of the University of Cambridge and later studied in greater detail with NRAO's Very Large Array radio telescope in 1985. Because it was unusually small for a supernova it was thought to be young -- less than about 1000 years old.

    But in 2007, X-ray observations made with NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory revealed that the object was much larger than the last time it was observed! It had grown in size by 16%. Puzzled by this observation, the Very Large Array repeated its observations of 23 years ago and verified that it had increased in size considerably. Knowing that supernova do not expand this quickly, unless they have just exploded, they explained that G1.9 must be a "very young" supernova -- perhaps not more than 150 years old. But no record of a visible supernova has been found corresponding to that historical period (about the time of the American Civil War).

    Spanish astronomers have tracked this object with great interest because they were anticipating its appearance. Gravitational anomalies have been appearing in the Oort Cloud for some time, suggesting the perturbations were caused by a nearby object with considerable mass. The announcement that G1.9 had increased in size was no mystery to them. It is exactly what they would expect as the object moved closer to Earth.

    The object, G1.9 [above right] is currently located in the direction of our Galaxy's center, Sagittarius, which glows bright in this infrared spectrum image. Because of the bright background G1.9 is not visible in normal light wavelengths.

    Of course there is controversy. The Spanish asrtonomers, who call themselves the "Starviewer Team" must still convince the scientific community that G.19 is not a supernova, but rather a brown dwarf star inside our Solar System. This is not an easy task. But we asked them to do just that for this article.

    The image [above] shows the evidence that the object has increased in size over the 23 years that it has been observed. On the left, the blue spherical shape was recorded in radio wavelengths in 1985 by the Very Large Array. The image on the right shows the same view taken in 2008. It is obvious that the object is larger, but critics say that this is not because the object is closer, but rather that the residual "shell" from the exploding star has advanced out from its origin. They note the shape is not spherical but consistent with the type of remnants usually seen with supernova.

    In this image [above] we see the original 1985 radio emission image from VLA compared to the 2007 x-ray image taken by the Chandra Observatory. Critics again point to the lack of central imaging (i.e. where is the brown dwarf?) and question why orbiting planets would emit irregularly shaped x-rays.

    We put these questions to the Starviewer Team.

    The image above was provided by the Starviewer Team. It shows the object G1.9 on the left and a known brown dwarf, Gilese 229A on the right. We are looking at microwave band emissions which indicate the radiated heat from each source. The dark red areas are the hottest. We note that G1.9 has a solid heat emission similar to Gilese 229A. The Starviewer Team seems to suggest that if G1.9 were really a supernova, we might expect that the spherical area would be cool, since the hot gas and ejecta from the exploding star would have been concentrated in the surrounding shell.

    Scientists supporting the "supernova theory" remind us that the shell of a supernova is actually a sphere, meaning that the heat signature would appear circular. This supernova is also alleged to be very young -- about 150 years old -- so it would still be pretty hot. They ask us to view the heat signature os another supernova and provide an example of the infrared emission scan for Cygnus-Loop supernova below:

    The scientists also remind us that the observations for G1.9 were made 23 years ago and the most recent observations show that the object has not moved significantly as an orbiting planet or brown dwarf would be expected to do. How do you explain this?

    When we previewed this article to the Starviewer Team, we asked them to send us a rebuttal. We think we have focused on the Achillies Heel of their assertions. We waited for an answer and received the following statement, which was translated for us:

    1.-Some self-motivated International committee of astronomers, by their own innitiative, are presently calculating the exact orbit for the Brown Dwarf Sagitarius-Oort-Kuiper perturbation, using the StarViewerTeam's work sheets based on Lissauer, Murray and Matese's original drafts. A final report, will be published by Feb 2010.

    2.-There are huge scientific evidences concerning to the fact that Cosmic causes and Brown Dwarf are the real causes of Climate change. On July the 10th, Dr.Paul Clark, published on Science.com an article concerning to this matter, and almost 700 scientists signed the minority Report on climate change.

    It appears the evidence is inferential and based on mathematics. So we must wait until February. I give this a validity rating (from 1 to 10) of 4.

    UPDATE FEBRUARY 19, 2010: -- We patiently waited and monitored the StarViewer Team's web site for the "proof" that claimed would be forthcoming. Needless to say, it never materialized. Also, the initil popularity of their claim appears to have been nothing more than a way to attract a large viewership. The web site now is full of ridiculous claims, including some satirical stories taken from "the onion" (a very funny site) which the SV Team promoted as "real." There is no mention of the mathematical validation that was expected with regards to the G1.9 object. Perhaps the validation disproved their theory... perhaps it was never going to be validated by anyone... I think it is safe to take this theory of object G1.9 being a brown dwarf down to ZERO possibility!

    Other Possibilities for Planet-X?

    We'll mention one more, since it is the most popular one mentioned on the internet. It involved a statement made by some NASA scientists following the launch and retrieved data from IRAS, the infrared detection satellite that was launched back in 1983. A story ran in the Washington Post on December 30, 1983 with the headline, Possibly as Large as Jupiter; Mystery Heavenly Body Disccovered. Written by Thomas O'Toole it read as follows:

    A heavenly body possibly as large as the giant planet Jupiter and possibly so close to Earth that it would be part of this solar system has been found in the direction of the constellation Orion by an orbiting telescope aboard the U.S. infrared astronomical satellite.

    So mysterious is the object that astronomers do not know if it is a planet, a giant comet, a nearby "protostar" that never got hot enough to become a star, a distant galaxy so young that it is still in the process of forming its first stars or a galaxy so shrouded in dust that none of the light cast by its stars ever gets through.

    "All I can tell you is that we don't know what it is," Dr. Gerry Neugebauer, IRAS chief scientist for California's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and director of the Palomar Observatory for the California Institute of Technology, said in an interview.

    The most fascinating explanation of this mystery body, which is so cold it casts no light and has never been seen by optical telescopes on Earth or in space, is that it is a giant gaseous planet as large as Jupiter and as close to Earth as 50 trillion miles. While that may seem like a great distance in earthbound terms, it is a stone's throw in cosmological terms, so close in fact that it would be the nearest heavenly body to Earth beyond the outermost planet Pluto.

    "If it is really that close, it would be a part of our solar system," said Dr. James Houck of Cornell University's Center for Radio Physics and Space Research and a member of the IRAS science team. "If it is that close, I don't know how the world's planetary scientists would even begin to classify it."

    The mystery body was seen twice by the infrared satellite as it scanned the northern sky from last January to November, when the satellite ran out of the supercold helium that allowed its telescope to see the coldest bodies in the heavens. The second observation took place six months after the first and suggested the mystery body had not moved from its spot in the sky near the western edge of the constellation Orion in that time.

    "This suggests it's not a comet because a comet would not be as large as the one we've observed and a comet would probably have moved," Houck said. "A planet may have moved if it were as close as 50 trillion miles but it could still be a more distant planet and not have moved in six months time."

    I could go on and on about why this is not true. But a paper published by the same astrophysicists disclosed that the "mysterious object" was a distant galaxy -- one of the first of its kind to emit light in the infrared spectrum. The article, Unidentified IRAS sources -- Ultrahigh-luminosity galaxies appeared in the Astrophysical Journal. Here is the abstract:

    Abstract

    Optical imaging and spectroscopy measurements were obtained for six of the high galactic latitude infrared sources reported by Houck, et al. (1984) from the IRAS survey to have no obvious optical counterparts on the POSS prints. All are identified with visually faint galaxies that have total luminosities in the range 5 x 10 to the 11th power stellar luminosity to 5 x 10 to the 12th power stellar luminosity. This luminosity emerges virtually entirely in the infrared. The origin of the luminosity, which is one to two orders of magnitude greater than that of normal galaxies, is not known at this time.

    So what now? No Planet-X after all?

    There's a lot of subtle fear with the approaching "doomsday" of 2012. We live in a world where the economies have failed, our governments have lied to us and there seems to be little hope. This fear is based, in part, on our collective "gut feeling" that something big and bad is on the event horizon. We sense it is something much bigger than our own obvious ineptitude at running the world. We look to space for the source of this catastrophe.

    Our interest in Planet-X was first triggered by the writings of Zecharia Sitchin, whose translations and interpretations of the oldest known civilization, the Sumerians, gave us a cosmology that included what he called "The Twelfth Planet."

    Sitchin's work with ancient texts, specifically the Enumma Elish, is brilliant. The cosmology includes an extra, as yet undiscovered planet, which is similar to the descriptions used by NASA and the Starviewer Team. This planet is in an eliptical orbit with a "year" equal to an amazing 3600 earth years. This long orbit is why the planet -- called Nibiru by the ancients -- has eluded observation with current telescopes and satellites.

    Embedded with the cosmology of the Sumerians is the description of an alien race of beings who came to our planet to mine precious minerals and who genetically altered our species. This latter bit of the tale in the Sumerian writing has caused the cosmology to be thrown out along with the aliens. But it does not negate the cosmology.

    FACTS:

    There is indeed something "out there" that approximates Planet-X, Nibiru, a brown dwarf... It has been proven but not seen. Readers can explore the mathematical models that demonstrate the disruptions in the Oort Cloud, comets and our Sun in a previous article on viewzone.

    At the present time we seem to be experiencing an unusually quiet period of what was supposed to be the most violent 11-year solar cycle in history. According to the theory of barycenters, this must be due to the gravitational effects of some massive body in our Solar System, preventing the usual disruptions associated with the 11+ year orbits of Jupiter.

    Recent unpredicted asteroid activity suggests that something is perturbing the Kuiper Belt and Oort Cloud.

    But until we can get reliable information from scientists -- or even amateurs -- who are willing to give their names and share their information for public scrutiny, we will always be suspicious when someone yells, "The sky is falling!"

    I just did a quick check on the forum to see if this is here. Someone sent me a link to the other forum to a thread called breaking news, that is currently breaking news in Australia but was only just translated from the Spanish, really this report was written in August of this year and seems to confirm 100% that we are in a binary system and that a blue looking, the Hopi's Kachina comes to mind here, brown dwarf star in the infared is affecting Pluto and Jupiter. I cannot quite understand the way its written talking about a change in course being noted, and something about earth, so the question I would have is, is it incoming? Not that this would matter too greatly as we would experience the astroid hits soon enough, and perhaps far far worse.

    The present study, has been realised by all the members of the StarViewer Equipment, as well as collaborating external.

    Next, we set out the obtained results, the conclusions of the study, the observed landlords and also, a brief RFI (for Request Information), that a Spanish observatory, anonymously it has decided to send for its later analysis and determination.

The mass analysis, in 3D, confirms, this circumstance, and additionally the image obtained by chandra, fits “exactly” in the data modeling observed.

    3º. - In the infrared phantom, it can see clearly, that this blue color, corresponds with an object whose sphericity, it is demonstrated, and it shows methane, in its composition.

    4º. - This Object T, comes accompanied, at least by other two orbital bodies (satellites), whose composition, mass and orbit, it is still controverted, although, both seem to be solid bodies. (Rocky).

    It can be observed that the radiation coming from the center of the galaxy, acts like an interference that prevents the visualization, or categorisation of the object in this phantom and the one of infrared. The observed zone, is in the edge of Sagitario, the zone of greater luminosity of our galaxy. It can see the Pluto position, day 28 of Julio of 2009.

    Nevertheless, with the aid of Australian astronomers, we have been able to filter the thermal radiations. “The key is in the phantom of microwaves”. If it is close, it must emit heat, and that heat must be next, 1,900 to 2700 degrees K........

    1º. - The stellar impulse has been confirmed. Equal LMM99 to 41%.

    2º. - The stellar impulse has undergone an increase of 10% in the last 10 years. Equal LMM09 to 51%.

    For two weeks, Pluto has undergone the impact, heating and disturbance of a new celestial body too next to its orbit.     This is really imperative to analyze, as it comes from Scientific source and is infared analysis. I can't understand the part about the orbit change being noted, is this article telling us that this is incoming?

    It appears we are in a binary system, that this is disturbing pluto and jupiter right now and pelting them with astroids, and causing a disturbance in our solar system already. It also appears that we are going to be facing quite a huge event ourselves. There is quite a lot of criticism in the article itself about NASA's mistreatment of this entire thing...

    Would really appreciate some discussion, as I am not into planet X theories and thought we were having a bad enough time with the possibilities of pole meltdowns, geomagnetic pole reversals, and nwo issues.

    I cant' understand the article. I reread it, and it appears that the incoming part relates to a comet, that they have decided will interecept earth. If I'm right.
    The other part, is this a real report. The credentials are certainly there for this team. But this could this be a simulation? I am really curious. Many have opinions about planet X, the dwarf star, or binary star scenarios. But.....are there any more able to analyze the actual intent of this paper when it was published?

    Note I just sent this to a friend and he said that this is a Supernova, not nibiru. That this supposed team of Spanish Scientists is just another gorup of planet x supporters. So I guess they would be spreading psuedo science not science. Can anyone verify the group itself and whether they are real scientists or just fanatics pulling a fast one on the alternative news sites.

    A "Brown Dwarf" is no way related to a "Supernova" (except that a possible outcome of a "Supernova" could be a "Brown Dwarf", but the likelihood that a "Supernova" could blow 98% of its mass off would be extremely unusual). Normally a "Supernova will leave a "Neutron Star", "Magnitar" or Black Hole".

    A "Brown Dwarf" could dislodge members of the Oort Cloud and send them crashing into the inner Solar System. A "Brown Dwarf" would be 2.5 to 5 times the mass of a "Jupiter". Its passage "through" the Solar System would be catastrophic. It would disrupt all the planets in their orbits and possibly eject some of them.

    As best I understand their material this "Brown Dwarf's" orbit is with some other star, but is coming toward our Solar System and thus interacting with the Oort Cloud. This is how they have drawn its interaction with the Oort Cloud.

    Supposedly our sun too is a Binary Pair and its partner is not at present located. Indeed, I believe there is still a prize available if it can be found.

    But I am wondering, that 1983 Washington Post article where it was quoted, "its not incoming mail" The hubble going down for years.
    Russian Scientists saying the solar system is warming up, not just earth.
    LaViolette also around 1980s I believe talking about emissions from the core of the galaxy and extinction events.
    I believe around 1983 they began in earnest to build highly complex DUMBs underground.

    In my studies of Einstein and Special Relativity one of the "proof's"of the "SR theory" is the change of Mercury's perihelion vs its vernal equinox. However if you take that change and project it over a whole cycle for Mercury it comes out to be 25,569 years, which is similar to the Earth's Ecliptic Cycle of some 25, 770, as presented by Walter Cruttenden in his book, "Lost Star", See: pp 114. This can hardly be a coincidence. Perhaps similar findings will be had for all the planets.

    This strange combination of "facts" seems to confirm the notion that the Sun must indeed be a binary, although we have yet to find that companion.

    I thought that the planet x thing had been put to bed, and discredited based upon the fact that our space-based instruments would have identified major changes (caused by a huge celestial body) well in advance of any visual confirmation.

    Neil deGrasse Tyson discussed Pluto and the controversy surrounding its demotion from planetary status. He said Pluto was discovered in 1930 by amateur astronomer Clyde Tombaugh, and was thought to have been the long sought-after Planet X. Pluto was even assigned the size and mass that had been presumed for the fabled planet, Tyson added. Astronomers eventually figured out that mistakes in telescope operations had been made and, once accounted for, the need for a Planet X vanished, he further noted.

    According to Tyson, the decision to reclassify Pluto's planetary status came about when the International Astronomical Union decided to create an official definition v

    for the term "planet." While Pluto was both gravitationally round and larger than its moons, Tyson pointed out that it did not meet the criterion of having cleared its orbital path. Because of this Pluto was demoted to a "dwarf planet."

    Tyson spoke about NASA's Kepler telescope, designed to search for Earth-size planets orbiting other stars. He said if the mission finds nothing, it could mean our solar system is unique in the galaxy. Tyson also explained why there is no need to worry about 2012, the year the Mayan calendar ends and when some people believe a planetary alignment will cause catastrophic changes on Earth. Tyson called the Mayans a "technologically ignorant society" with no insight into the universe, and revealed that the extra gravity caused by the alignment will be insignificant to our planet.

    Lloyd's dark star theory proposes that a sub brown dwarf is a kind of companion star to our sun and exists in the far reaches of the solar system between the Kuiper Belt and the Oort Cloud. He estimated that it's some 500 to 1,000 astronomical units away (our sun is 1 astronomical unit away from Eart. The dark star could have vast magnetic and gravitational fields that interact with the sun, and recent anomalies detected in the outer solar system, could be evidence of its presence.

    Nibiru, also known as Marduk, 12th planet or Planet X, first came into the Earth's solar system far back
    before recorded history -- even before the formation of the Earth itself. If truth were to be known (and
    it will be) the formation of the Earth as it is today is due to the influence of this occasional interloper to
    this solar system.

    How did Nibiru first come into this system? Though it is commonly believed and indicated in some of
    the ancient writings that it was a natural part of this system that merely has a very long orbital path,
    (more than 3600 years). In fact it was brought into this system by a group of beings who prided
    themselves, albeit arrogantly, to be the "creators and farmers of life in the universe." These people,
    who later told humans to call them Annuniki, were at the time a race with great power of and
    supernatural means. They were not physical in the sense that humans understand. Though they exist
    in this physical dimension, they do not have what could be truly called a physical form. Surely not the
    same as your body is. They were also a people with far too much self-importance and each of their
    accomplishments fed their skewed pride until such a time as they decided to create a whole living
    planet by themselves.

    This solar system was the place where they choose to attempt their grand folly. The star was constant
    and established and the magnetic forces of the other gas giants, (Jupiter and Saturn) would make for
    a stable area between them and the sun where life could take hold, if there was a planet in place.

    At the time, there were the outer planets of the Sol system. The inner planets had not evolved past
    bare rocks or molten asteroids yet and there was no life, as humans generally understand life, in this
    system. The Annuniki believed if they could create a planet, or bring one into the system, then they
    could put it into place and then create life on it. To them, with all their successes and with all their
    pride, it was an ultimate challenge they could not resist.

    In an attempt to create an inhabitable planet in the Sol system, they attempted to navigate a planetary
    mass that they felt had the potential to bear life into the Sol system. They did this with a mixture of
    technology and supernatural powers they possessed. They started with a moon from the other planet
    Neptune. Slowly they moved it towards the center of the solar system.

    Unfortunately, they underestimated the gradational pull of Uranus, and the moon crashed into Uranus
    with such force that it not only created a phenomenally huge crater on the face of the planet, but the
    force was sufficient to knock Uranus off its axis, and to this day it rotates on its side, perpendicular to
    all other planets in the system.

    This first attempt was scrapped and another moon was chosen. This time in order to counter the pull
    of Uranus and any pull from other planets, the next moon chosen was mostly ice so its density could
    be controlled by melting water as needed. Also it was made to spin opposite of the rest of the natural
    turn of the planets in the Sol system, moreover, it was moved into the solar system in an orbit contrary
    to the rest of the system.

    With the new spin, ice and orbit along with the lessons learned from the first failed attempt, this
    moon was slowly but surely navigated past the gas giants and into the inner area of the solar system.

    Once they passed the last of the gas giants, they believed they were sure there was no way they could
    fail. They concluded that in order to be "gods" to their soon to be creations, they would need to be
    close to their new creation. So, in their arrogance, almost all of them, enmasse, decided to transfer
    their consciousnesses to the new moon, which they dared to call Nibiru "Giver of life".

    Since they were not physical in the sense that they needed to have physical sustenance and provisions,
    they were happy enough to live on this barren, ice covered world. But once again their superciliousness
    nature caused them grief. No one believed that they could make such a small mistake of numbers,
    and before they knew it, their beloved Nibiru was on a collision course with a dead rock of a planet
    revolving around the sun.

    There was much debate about how to avoid the collision, but it was all for naught. The two heavenly
    bodies collided in a fury.

    Because the small rock world (earth) was rotating with the proper rotation of the center sun, and was
    also orbiting in the proper magnetic direction, its gradational pull overpowered that of the interloping
    moon whose rotation and orbit were contrary to the established norm. When the dust settled, so to
    speak, Nibiru was far smaller, as the material that made it up, particularly the ice, super heated in the
    collision and remained with the small rock world. Thus, water came to the Earth.

    The collision caused many things to happen. The sheer force of the impact so close to the gravitational
    and magnetic center of a solar system did not simply destroy one object and knock the other off track
    as it had in the outer reaches of the solar system with their first attempt. The force was so great, the
    gravitational influences so strong, and coupled with the intense psychic energies the Annuniki were
    exerting, the results were astounding. Nibiru was instantly thrown into an orbital abnormality that
    not only sent it plummeting through space, but also through dimension.

    The Annuniki, along with their dear creation, Nibiru, were sent on an incredible elliptical journey that
    takes them through space, time, dimensions and realities.

    Luckily for the Annuniki, they are beings who can exist in the type of environment created by such a
    journey - that being no heat, sunlight, water etc. Also, because of their non-physical status, Annuniki
    are very long-lived beings. Their lifespan is many, many hundred times longer than a human beings'.
    This is a good thing because with an orbital path as long as they one they are on, it gives them some
    inkling of continuity.

    Over time, Nibiru has returned in its journey around our sun. Sometimes when it has passed planet
    Earth, Annuniki have "jumped off", if you will, and visited the Earth. Sometimes they make short
    visits while their planet is in the area. Sometimes they stay for whole revolutions. Some are here right
    now.

    The confusing part comes into play because Nibiru is still traveling through dimensions, time and space
    as it rotates around the sun. Sometimes when it has passed Earth, although it was close by, perhaps
    even passing through, it has been in an alternate dimension and was not seen, felt or even suspected.
    The only proof that it could have been near, would be, if you looked, a jump in the ideas, technology
    or consciousness of man, caused by Annuniki visitors interactions and inspirations.

    Other times, it has come by and been in this dimension, or one close enough that its bizarre course
    through the solar system cased problems that effected the world in a physical way, just as any solid
    body passing so close would.

    The orbit is about 3669 years, but because in other dimensions it can move quicker or slower, this is
    extremely subject to change. In general it is within 200 years of this time. Nevertheless, because it
    can make this orbit totally unseen by the earth due to its location in dimension or realm at the time
    of its passing, it will often only be known by those who can see into these other dimensions.

    This pass will not be in this dimension. Even though Nibiru may show up in close dimensions as it
    approaches, so that sometimes it can be seen on photographs, it has been concluded that it will not
    be in a position to show (be seen) or even to cause problems with the earth until it passes again in
    about 7400 years from now.

    That said, it must be noted that when it does get close enough for the next wave of Annuniki to
    "jump over" to the Earth, be sure they will. And with that will come great change.

    No, that is not (yet) a quote from a report in the scientific journal Nature, but that is what the conclusion is of a study by six astronomers (including one from a NASA institute) published in the Journal's July 16, 2009 issue.

    The Asteroid Belt between Mars and Jupiter is presumed to be the remnant of 'something' that was there and broke up. So how come it includes bits and pieces of matter found only in the outer reaches of the Solar System? The enigma is compounded by the fact that these strange bits and pieces contain organic-rich matter. The group's findings: These are bits and pieces of "primordial trans-Neptunian objects" left in the Asteroid Belt as orbiting 'comets' or 'cometlike objects' pass through it and collide with its asteroids, leaving behind a 'footprint'.

    Substitute 'Nibiru' with its "organic-rich matter" for "comets or cometlike objects" as it passes periodically through the Asteroid Belt, and you get the true answer -- another instance of modern science catching up with ancient knowledge.

    The space agency said that persistent irregularities in the orbits of Uranus and Neptune "suggest some kind of mystery object is really there" with its distance depending on what it is. If the mystery object is a new planet, it may lie five billion miles beyond the outer orbital ring of known planets, the space agency said. If it
    is a dark star type of objet, it may be 50 billion miles beyond the known planets; if it is a black hole, 100 billion miles. A black hole is a hypothetical body in space, believed to be a collapsed star so condensed that neither light nor matter can escape from its gravitational field.

Instead they blamed the anomalies on an as yet unseen planet and, sure enough, Neptune was discovered in 1846. Now astronomers are using the same strategy to explain quirks in the orbits of Uranus and Neptune. According to John Anderson of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., this odd behavior suggests that the sun has an unseen companion, a dark star gravitationally bound to it but billions of miles away. Other scientists suggest that the most likely cause of the orbital snags is a tenth planet 4 to 7 billion miles beyond Neptune. A companion star would tug the outer planets, not just Uranus and Neptune,
    says Thomas Van Flandern of the U.S Naval Observatory. And where he admits a tenth planet is possible, but argues that it would have to be so big - a least the size of Uranus - that it should have been discovered by now. To resolve the question, NASA is staying tuned to Pioneer 10 and 11, the planetary probes that are
    flying through the dim reaches of the solar system on opposite sides of the sun.

    Something out there beyond the farthest reaches of the known solar system seems to be tugging at Uranus and Neptune. Some gravitational force keeps perturbing the two giant planets, causing irregularities in their orbits. The force suggests a presence far away and unseen, a large object that may be the long- sought
    Planet X. The last time a serious search of the skies was made it led to the discovery in 1930 of Pluto, the ninth planet. But the story begins more than a century before that, after the discovery of Uranus in 1781 by the English astronomer and musician William Herschel. Until then, the planetary system seemed to end with
    Saturn.

    As astronomers observed Uranus, noting irregularities in its orbital path, many speculated that they were witnessing the gravitational pull of an unknown planet. So began the first planetary search based on astronomers predictions, which ended in the 1840's with the discovery of Neptune almost simultaneously by English, French, and German astronomers. But Neptune was not massive enough to account entirely for the orbital behavior of Uranus. Indeed, Neptune itself seemed to be affected by a still more remote planet.

    In the last 19th century, two American astronomers, Willian H. Pickering and Percival Lowell, predicted the size and approximate location of the trans-Neptunian body, which Lowell called Planet X. Years later, Pluto was detected by Clyde W. Tombaugh working at Lowell Observatory in Arizona. Several astronomers, however, suspected it might not be the Planet X of prediction. Subsequent observation proved them right. Pluto was too small to change the orbits of Uranus and Neptune, the combined mass of Pluto and its
    recently discovered satellite, Charon, is only 1/5 that of Earth's moon.

    Recent calculations by the United States Naval Observatory have confirmed the orbital perturbation exhibited by Uranus and Neptune, which Dr. Thomas C Van Flandern, an astronomer at the observatory, says could be explained by "a single undiscovered planet". He and a colleague, Dr. Richard Harrington, calculate that
    the 10th planet should be two to five times more massive than Earth and have a highly elliptical orbit that takes it some 5 billion miles beyond that of Pluto - hardly next-door but still within the gravitational influence of the Sun.

    Abstract

    Stochastic simulations of the collisional fragmentation of the small moons of Neptune and Uranus confirm
    the conclusions of Smith et al. [1986, 1989] that many of these moons cannot have survived intact since the
    end of planetary formation. We perform two types of stochastic simulations of the collisonal history of small
    moons. Monte Carlo simulations in which only the largest surviving fragment from each disruption is
    followed show bimodal probability distributions for the size of the largest fragment. Once the moon is
    destroyed the first time, the collisional cascade to smaller sizes proceeds relatively quickly. A Markov chain
    approach allows us to follow the size distribution from each disruption to arbitrarily small sizes. These
    simulations show that the more numerous smaller fragments can outlive the largest fragment followed in
    the Monte Carlo formalism. We find that the evolution of moon populations from catastrophic fragmentation
    is more complex than can be described by a simple break-up ‘‘time scale.’’ We rederive cratering rates using
    the method of Smith et al. [1986, 1989] for all the satellites of Uranus and Neptune with an improved crater
    scaling and modified impactor distributions.These changes produced a higher number of predicted craters
    larger than the radii of the small moons of Uranus and Neptune than derived by Smith et al. [1986, 1989].
    Our more detailed simulations of the catastrophic fragmentation process also show a higher rate of
    disruptions than estimated by Smith et al. [1986, 1989]. The smallest observed moons at Uranus and
    Neptune have calculated lifetimes against catastrophic fragmentation of less than 5×108 years. If we
    require that half the mass of a satellite is given escape velocity we find lifetimes for Cordelia (1986U7),
    Naiad (1989N6), and Thalassa (1989N5) of 9×108, 2×109, and 4×109 years, respectively. We conclude that
    we are observing a collisionally evolved small satellite population around Neptune and Uranus and that
    some observed moons are gravitationally bound rubble piles that have undergone multiple disruptions.
    In order for the satellites to be primordial the population of planet family comets in the outer solar system
    would have to be smaller than current estimates by at least a factor of 5.

    URANUS FAQ

    Uranus was discovered in 1781 by William Herschel. Herschel was doing a survey of bright stars looking for
    evidence of stellar parallax. He didn't find any parallaxes (the first parallax measured for any star was about
    50 years after this). But he *DID* discover a faint, blue resolved object. It was not a star, and Herschel was
    a good enough observer to realize it was not a star. It was a new planet.

    It is a cautionary tale to note that there are at least 17 surviving examples of star charts made by astronomers
    before 1781 that show Uranus on them. But in each case, it was mis-identified as a blue star.

    Uranus is about four times the radius of Earth, and about 15 times the mass of Earth. It is so far from the Sun
    that its orbital period is about 84 years. But the most remarkable gross physical property of Uranus is that it
    is tipped over on its side. The inclination of its rotational axis to its orbital plane is about 98 degress
    (compared to 23.5 degrees for the Earth). This means that for about a quarter of each orbit a given pole is
    pointing more or less straight at the Sun. So Uranus probably has some pretty peculiar seasons.

    Why is Uranus tipped over on its side? We don't really know, of course. But the currently favored answer
    (this shouldn't surprize you, if you've been paying attention) is that something really big slammed into it a
    long time ago. In this case "really big" means something about Earth-sized.

    Atmosphere

    That atmosphere of Uranus is similar to that of both Jupiter and Saturn:

    80% H2
    15% He
    5% in H2O, CH4, NH3 and traces of other stuff

    Like the other Jovian planets, the density of the atmosphere increases with depth until it liquifies.

    Unlike Jupiter and Saturn, there is no obvious cloud structure to the atmosphere of Uranus. This is because
    the atmosphere is simply too cold for the sort of strong turbulence that causes the cloud structure we see
    on Jupiter and Saturn. But there is a belt/zone circulation pattern that becomes apparent when the Voyager
    images are heavily color-enhanced. And there is even some weak evidence for clouds. The cloud is that
    small streak at about 1 to 2 o'clock.

    The fact that the belt/zone circulation pattern exists at all on Uranus is very interesting. Because it means
    that the primary driver of this sort of circulation is the planetary rotation rather than the nature of the Solar
    heating. This must be so because of the strong tilt of Uranus's rotation axis.

    INTERIOR

    The interior of Uranus is a bit more complicated than that of Jupiter or Saturn. The density is considerably
    higher (about 1.3 g/cc on average). The mass is much lower, so the central density must be lower. This only
    makes sense if the composition of Uranus includes a much higher fraction of heavy elements than that of
    Saturn or Jupiter.

    There is an outer layer of liquid H2 and He. Inside this, there is a mantle that is a mixture of volatiles ("icy
    material") and refractory elements (rocky material). And there is a solid core of heavy elements (rocky
    material plus iron). The core is solid, and the internal pressure is nowhere high enough to produce
    liquid metallic H2.

    One of the really big surprizes of the Voyager 2 fly-by was that, despite this, Uranus has a substantial
    magnetic field (about 0.75 the strength of Earth's). And the really odd thing is that the magnetic field axis
    does not go through the center of the planet. It is both tilted (by about 60 degrees), and off-set (by about
    0.3 planetary radii).

    Now, one reason humans put these remote planetary probes out there is to surprise ourselves. And it
    sure worked this time. But about 15 years have passed since the Voyager 2 fly-by, and we've had a
    chance to puzzle this one out. The solution appears to be that the magnetic field isn't generated in the
    core. It's generated by liquid (and conductive -- don't use an electric razor in the bathtub!) H2O and NH3
    in the mantle. That's why the field axis is offset.

    Because there is a magnetic field, it turns out we can see evidence for aurorae in the Sun-facing polar
    regions. The magnetic field also allowed us to measure a good rotation period for Uranus (given the
    lack of visible atmospheric structure, the faintness of the planet, and the fact that it's been nearly pole-
    on to us for the last 30 years made that difficult to do otherwise). The rotation period ois about 17.25
    hours. This fits in well with the observe oblateness, and composition.

    Evolution of Uranus

    Uranus has a far lower fraction of its mass in H2 and He than do Saturn and Jupiter. Thus it must have
    formed more slowly than they did. And, given its place in the Solar System, that much makes sense.
    There was less material in the Solar Nebula that far out in the Solar System, and Uranus moves more
    slowly in its orbit. But the problem is models indicate it would form TOO slowly. That is, if you try to
    make a planet that big, that far out in the Solar Nebula, the Nebula disperses before you have much of
    a planet. Now, we know Uranus is there, so it MUST be possible for it to form. Current models for its
    formation (and that of Neptune as well) argue that it was more likely to have formed much closer to the
    Sun -- somewhere between the orbits of Jupiter and Saturn, and then got gravitationally scattered out
    to its present orbit by Jupiter.

    Ring System

    Uranus has a ring system. Like Jupiter's, it is faint and the rings are narrow. The rings were detected in
    1977 by stellar occultation. A bright star was going to pass behind Uranus. As this star was monitored
    before the occulation, its brightness dropped and came back up several times. It was being partly
    occulted by the rings. We couldn't actually image the rings until the Voyager 2 fly-by. There are ten
    known major rings, but like Saturn, they are actually composed of many ringlets. The ring material is
    actually quite dark. It shows up best when it is back-lit. This indicates the rings are composed of small
    particles. The particles have a very low albedo (about 0.04 - roughly that of soot). They are probably
    rock/ice particles in which the methane ice (CH4) has been photoreduced a amorphous carbon (that is,
    soot) by Solar UV radiation.

    It is impossible for the rings to be stable structures in and of themselves. Something must be maintaining
    them unless we got very lucky to catch them before they dissipated. And we think we know what maintains
    them. Shepherd moons. These are small satellites in orbits that cause them to pull material into orbits
    between them, and stabilize that material. We see them in some cases. We just suspect they must be
    there in others.

    Satellite System

    There are 5 large moons, and at last count 16 tiny ones (including several Shepherd Moons). The five
    large ones (all known before the Voyager 2 fly-by are named after sprites from The Tempest:

    Oberon
    Titania
    Umbriel
    Ariel
    Miranda

    The other tiny moons are very dark, much like the ring particles. The interpretation is the same - that the
    surfaces of the the small moons are coated with amorphous carbon from the photoreduction of methane.

    The five large moons are all differentiated bodies, with rocky interiors and icy mantles. Oberon and
    Umbriel are both dark, and heavily cratered. Titania is of interest because, even though it is heavily
    cratered, it has no large craters. This would seem to imply that it was resurfaced just after the phase
    of really heavy bombardment. Lots of objects have struck it since then, but no really large ones.

    Ariel has a relatively smooth and bright surface. It also has many very large cracks or channels on its
    surface. These all indicate that the surface is comparatively young. There may be an orbital resonance
    at work here that puts sufficient energy into Ariel that it can be resurfaced periodically.

    Miranda is too weird for words. It has been seriously messed with. It has many seemingly impossible
    geologic features. Including the cheveron, a cliff that is at least 3 miles high, and a stunning collection
    of grooves and cracks. Early interpretations of Miranda focused on the idea that something smashed it
    to rubble soon after it formed, but did not hit it hard enough to disperse it. Thus it reassembled itself due
    to self gravity. A more recent model is that these features are due to slow surface convection. But we
    really don't understand this one.

    Large world found near Pluto

    2001KX76 shows up as two coloured dots against the stars

    Astronomers have found one of the largest objects ever detected orbiting the Sun.

    It was seen in a deep space survey looking for bodies circling our star out near Pluto, the most distant planet. Only planets are larger than this new object, dubbed 2001 KX76.

    The icy, reddish world is over a thousand kilometres across and astronomers say there may be even larger objects, bigger than planet Pluto itself, awaiting discovery.

    "What we have seen may be only the tip of the iceberg," co-discoverer Dr Lawrence Wasserman told BBC News Online.

    Big surprise

    The world - it is big enough to be called a world - has a typical reddish hue and is probably covered in ice. It orbits the Sun beyond Neptune in the so-called Kuiper Belt - a region that extends far beyond the known planets.

    Since 1992, over 400 Kuiper Belt Objects (KBOs) have been detected. Their discovery has revolutionised our view of the distant reaches of our Solar System. It is the sheer size of 2001 KX76 that is exciting astronomers.

    "When we spotted it, we just wrote 'wow' on the image," Lawrence Wasserman, of the Lowell Observatory in Arizona, US, said. "We knew right away it was a big one."

    Lowell Observatory Director, Robert Millis, added: "This object is intrinsically the brightest Kuiper Belt Object found so far."

    "The exact diameter of 2001 KX76 depends on assumptions that astronomers make about how its brightness relates to its size. Traditional assumptions make it the biggest by a significant amount, while others make it larger by at least 5%."

    Uncertain orbit

    2001 KX76 could be as large as 1,270 km (788 miles) across, bigger than Ceres, the largest known asteroid (an object that orbits the Sun between Mars and Jupiter). It is even larger than Pluto's moon Charon, which has an estimated diameter of 1,200 km (744 miles).

    It is just a matter of time until we see Pluto 2, Pluto 3, and so on

    2001 KX76 was discovered in the course of the Deep Ecliptic Survey, a Nasa-funded search for KBOs. It was seen on 22 May in deep digital images of the southern sky taken with the 4-metre Blanco Telescope at Cerro Tololo in Chile.

    Astronomers estimate that 2001 KX76 is currently at a distance of just over 6.4 billion km (4 billion miles) from the Sun. Its orbit is inclined by approximately 20 degrees with respect to the major planets, but the detailed shape of its orbit remains uncertain.

    Available evidence suggests that the newly discovered KBO may be in an orbital dance with Neptune, orbiting the Sun three times for each time that Neptune completes four orbits.

    "2001 KX76 is so exciting because it demonstrates that significant bodies remain to be discovered in the Kuiper Belt," Robert Millis explains.

    True extent

    Lawrence Wasserman agrees: "We have every reason to believe that objects ranging up to planets as large or larger than Pluto are out there waiting to be found."

    Dr David Jewitt of the University of Hawaii who has discovered many KBOs, including the first one ever seen, told BBC News Online: "We're inching up to Pluto. It is just a matter of time until we see Pluto 2, Pluto 3, and so on."

    Robert Millis said: "Until the Kuiper Belt has been thoroughly explored, we cannot pretend to know the extent or the content of the Solar System."

    The researchers hope that other astronomers who have access to large telescopes over the next few weeks will be able to turn them on 2001 KX76 in the hope of gathering enough light to get a spectrum of the object.

    Mysterious Object Might be First Extrasolar Planet Photographed

    The coolest, faintest and possibly the smallest "substellar object" ever photographed was announced yesterday, but researchers don't know exactly what they have found.

    Observations so far do not allow for a precise determination of the object's distance, which is needed to calculate its mass. If it 1,150 light-years away, as suspected, then it is likely less than 8 million years old and lives amid a cluster of similarly young stars known as the Sigma Orionis system, and its mass would be about that of Jupiter.

    The object would qualify -- by some definitions -- as a planet.

    No planet outside our solar system has ever been photographed. Other Jupiter-mass planets have been found around other stars, but they were detected by an indirect method that notes a gravitational wobble induced in the host star.

    If the newly spotted object, called SOri70, is in fact a planet, it would be a strange one, sitting 36,000 times farther away from any its nearest stellar neighbor than Jupiter is from our Sun. There is an unresolved debate among experts as to whether an object so far from a star can be called a planet or not.

    And no one is sure how it might have formed our how it could end up in such a location. Some models suggest that gaseous objects like Jupiter might form via the gravitational collapse of a cloud of material, similar to how a star forms. But if such an object forms alone in space, and not around a star, can it be called a planet?

    Regardless, researchers say there is a 20 percent chance the object is closer to us, and thus it would be older, more massive, intrinsically dimmer and classified as a brown dwarf star.

    Brown dwarfs are typically many times heavier than Jupiter, but they are not massive enough to trigger the thermonuclear fusion that powers a real star. Brown dwarfs have been found orbiting stars, and other free-floating brown dwarfs have also been detected in recent months.

    Plausible discovery

    Astronomers who had learned of the finding but had not seen the actual data were unwilling to comment on the results. But one astronomer did tell SPACE.com that if the object is in fact in the Sigma Orionis cluster, then because of its youth it would be brightly emitting infrared radiation as it contracts and cools down.

    It is possible, the source said, to photograph in the infrared a Jupiter-mass object in this cluster.

    Victor J. Bejar and Rafael Rebolo, of the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias, Tenerife, Spain, both participated in the discovery of SOri70. They responded jointly to a SPACE.com e-mail query and said that if the object turns out to be of planetary mass, they would call it an "isolated planetary mass object." Other researches have suggested the name "free-floating planet."

    Regardless of the outcome, the discovery shows the potential for imaging planets in young star systems.

    "Definitely, very young 'Jupiters' can be directly imaged with current, very large telescopes," Bejar and Rebolo said.

    "The detection of such objects is an indication that Jupiter-like objects could be populating the space between stars," the researchers said. "They would be extremely faint [when they are older] and therefore they could have been missed in all sky surveys."

    Researchers say they might be able solve their puzzle by pointing the Hubble Space Telescope at SOri70, but a request for observing time was denied.

    History of the discovery

    The object was first studied in 1998 by Bejar and Eduardo Martin of the University of Hawaii Institute for Astronomy, using the 10-meter Keck I on Mauna Kea in Hawaii. They looked at it again with the William Herschel Telescope in La Palma (Canary Islands) in November 2000.

    This second observation revealed that the object contained methane, which does not exist in full-blown stars because of their high temperatures. Further observations late last year with the Keck telescope, by Rosa Zapatero Osorio of the Laboratory for Fundamental Astrophysics in Madrid, Spain, confirmed the methane.

    Several researchers involved in studying SOri70 are discussing their findings this week at the International Astronomical Union Symposium on Brown Dwarfs in Hawaii.

    While a young object like SOri70 might be visible in the infrared, general astronomers have not been optimistic that a more mature planet outside our solar system could be photographed yet.

    Though Hubble's new Advanced Camera for Survey's will spend some time next year attempting the task around another star, the effort is considered a longshot. It involves blocking the light from a bright star to provide an opportunity to see a much dimmer planetary companion.

    If Hubble does not succeed, most researchers have said, such an image might have to wait a decade or so until a future space telescope is launched.

    planet X has generated a lot of
    response.

    Researcher, Cristian Negureanu, sent this explanation for the interest in Planet X or Nibiru.

    The real cause of climate changes, volcanoes activity, intensification of the seismic activity etc., is the
    planet Eris’s getting closer to our solar system, intermediary named 2003 – UB – 313, and known in
    Antiquity under various names as: Nibiru, Marduk, Nemesis, | Hercolubus, the Gods Planet, the Planet
    of the Empire, the Planet of the Cross or the Red Planet.

    Below is a short record of the first (recent) contacts with Eris:

    First observed on October 21, 2003 using the 1.22 Oschin telescope, at Mount Palomar Observatory
    ( California ).

    Discovered by Michael E. Brown, Chad Trujillo, David L. Rabinovitz, on January 5, 2005, based on the photos
    taken at the above mentioned date.

    Furter observations published in October 2005 have shown a satellite named Dysnomia (Gabriel).

    The planet Eris/ Nibiru periodically getting closer to Earth once in 3,600 years generates numerous climate
    changes, one being the global warming with its natural consequence – the melting of the glaciers. The effect
    of glaciers melting, because of their sweet water, will be the ending of the thermo – saline natural system, the
    “ engine “ that allows the Gulfstream circulation to the North and the freezing of spread areas in the North
    – West of Europe and North – East U.S.A.

    Briefly, here is the process that took place during the last two periods in which the Gods planet has passed
    between Mars and Jupiter, the nearest point to Earth:

    7,200 years ago, during the cataclysm known as “Noah’s flood“, “sudden changes in temperature, violent
    storms and water avalanches from Antarctica broke off from their ‘ice prison’ Dr. John T. Hollin at Maine
    University (U.S.A.) considers that large pieces periodically came out of the Antarctic ice field creating a
    huge tide” (Zecharia Sitchin, The Twelfth Planet).

    3,600 years ago, during the Jews’ Exodus from Egypt in the middle of the second millennium B.C., the Earth
    suffered big cataclysms. “A celestial body that recently entered our solar system – a new comet – came very
    close to Earth [causing – A/N] the eventual disappearance of the glacier layer“ (Immanuel Velikovsky,
    “Worlds in Collision“).

    The current situation – the Poles glaciers’ melting is accelerating .

    The climate and geological changes will increase because the planet Eris/ Nibiru has not even been close
    to Pluto, its nearest point to Earth. This is supposed to happen between 2012 – 2014.

    Nowadays, identical phenomena (global warming and volcanoes activation) also take place on other planets
    from our solar system because of Eris/ Nibiru. Here are few examples:

    The Neptune’s moon, Triton is warming (BBC Science & Technology News, July 25, 1999).

    Pluto experiences an extraordinary heating (Massachusetts Institute of Technology News, October 9, 2002).

    Volcanic eruption on Jupiter’s satellite Io (Icarus Astronomy , November 2002).

    The warming of Mars (ABC News, December 7, 2002).

    The warming of Saturn (January 28, 2007, www.interstars.net): scientist of the UCLA (University of California,
    Los Angeles) – physics and astronomy department and those at the University of Boston have noticed that
    the temperature of the superior atmosphere of Saturn is higher that estimated. Thus, professor Allan Aylward
    at UCLA considers necessary the reexamination of the main hypotheses regarding the planetary atmosphere
    and establishing the cause of the respective heating. He also noticed a similar process on Mars, concluding:
    “Studying the aspects within other planetary atmospheres will help us to find out clues of the Terra’s future“.

    The books already mentioned also include various other description of severe phenomena as volcanoes
    activation, increasing seismic activity, terible hurricanes, huge tides, Pole reversal, and so on, that happened
    7,200 years ago, respectively 3,600 years ago, processes that are more and more frequent nowadays on Earth.

    Here are few additional arguments that Eris is Nibiru:

    The number of its satellites. Zecharia Sitchin said on them in the above – mentioned work : “Four satellites
    [they had a rapid rotation movement,‘swirling like twirls’ , three other satellites – The Mad Wind , The Twirling
    Wind and The Sovereign Wind, using their satellites as ‘assault chariots’, he (Nibiru – A/N) sent ahead the
    winds, the all seven winds ready to fight.“

    On Wikipedia, the search “transneptunian object“ returns other seven celestial bodies, except Pluto and Eris,
    most of them discovered by M. Brown, C. Trujillo, D. Rabinowitz.

    Their aproximate dimensions are:

    - Eris: 2,400 km

    - Santa ( 2003 EL 61 ): 1,800 km

    - 2005 Fy 9: 1,800 km

    -Sedna: 1,800 km

    -Orcus: 1,800 km

    - Quaoar: 1,200 km

    - Ixion :1,000 km

    - Varuna: 1,000 km

    The Sumerian writings say that a satellite of the Nibiru planet hit another planet, Tiamat, creating the “Sky”
    (The Asteroid Belt between Mars and Jupiter) and the Earth in the beginning of our solar system. Professor
    M. Brown has recently proved in the journal Nature that the planet 2003 – EL 61 suffered a terible collision

    In the following lines I will highlight the connection between Eris (its intermediary name was 2003 UB – 313)
    and the Antiquity writings, where the planet was frequently named Nibiru:

    In 2003, the year it was first observed (official comunication), the “Science et Vie“ magazine (the February issue)
    presented the elliptical trajectory of another planet in our solar system, IDENTICAL, with the trajectory of the
    Nibiru/ Marduk planet previously presented by Z. Sitchin.

    In 2005, several mounths after being discovered, distinguished astronomers from 19 countries reunited at
    the Vatican Astronomical Center connected through the Internet with Astronomical Centre on the Mount
    Tucson (Arizona, USA) – one of the most powerful in the world.

    On August 1, 2005 newspapers from around the world wrote: “The celestial body was given the temporary
    name 2003 – UB – 313“. Scientists that gave this name to the Nibiru planet were very much aware of the
    Sumerian writings, as “UB“ meant the seven planets group (3 + 1 + 3 = 313 = 7) consisting of Mars, Jupiter,
    Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and Nibiru. The other group consists of the five remaining planets
    (2 + 0 + 0 + 3 = 2003 = 5), meaning: the Sun, Mercury, Venus the Earth and the Moon. Neiter “12“ was a
    coincidence – the total of the numbers in the intermediary name. The Sumerians knew 12 celestial bodies!
    The same way Z. Sitchin wrote in his book The Twelfth Planet that the “UB is formed of seven parts, called
    giparu in the Acadian language (the night shelter) […] There is no doubt that is the origin of the ancients’
    faith in the ‘seven skies’“.

    Eris‘s area, 2,400 km +/- 97 km, measured by using images from the Hubble telescope, was made public
    at the end of April 2006.

    In my book titled The Bible and the UFOs, 1991, based on the data from the Apocalypse/ Revelation, I
    had given the dimensions of a possible planetary station: it was 2,400 km.

    The last book of the Bible contains details on the Eris planet (chapter 21: 2,12,16) called the NEW
    JERUSALEM (ERIS/ SALEM), togheter with its diameter and area:

    a) diameter: 12,000 x 200 m ( 1 stadium ) = 2,400 km.

    b) area: 2,400 km (length) x 2,400 km (width) x 12 (levels or floors) = 69,120,000 km2.

    The ancient writings also stated the comet – like aspect (comet provoking great disasters) of Eris/
    Nibiru, most probably caused by one of its satellites:

    a) The Sumerian writings, 7,200 years ago: “A planet moving very fast, on a eliptical orbit, similar to a
    comet“ (Z. Sitchin, The Twelfth Planet).

    b) His brightness (Yahweh/ Anu – the Leader of the Gods planet - A/N) is like the sunshine, a burning flame
    following His steps“ (Habacuc 3 : 4 – 5).

    c) 3,600 years ago: “A comet […] came very close to Earth in the middle of the second millenium B.C.“

    The current situation:

    a) Professor M. Brown (details also on www.interstars.net, January 21, 2007) has declared that the planet
    2003 – EL – 61 can undergo the attraction of Neptune, transforming itself into the brightest comet ever seen,
    at least 6000 times brighter than the comet Hale Bopp.

    b) Eris is expected to pass between Mars and Jupiter its nearest point to Earth during 2012 – 2014. This is
    the main reason why NASA had launched the Dawn spacecraft on 27 September 2007, which will arrive at
    its destination, the Asteroid Belt, in 2011.

    The logical explanation of the warming process on Earth and on the other planets in our solar system
    proves to be the one provided by I. Velikovsky, in his book from 1950: “Two celestial bodies have been
    attracted one to each other. The inner masses of the Earth were pushed to the periphery. The Earth, with
    its rotation movement disturbed, started to warm“.

    On April 25, 2007 it was communicated officially the discovery of planet Gliese 581c, which is possibly to
    be like the Earth. This is actually Dark Star, which is orbiting planet 581.

    In conclusion, it is possible to prove the existence of a binary star system in which the Station/ Planet
    Eris/ Nibiru is the physical link or “ ferry “ between our solar system and the Dark Star system, between
    human civilization and Anunnaki/ Elohim civilisation.

    I believe that a psychological education of mankind is in full development. Some clues:

    1) The Norwegian bunkers – along with the underground lodgements built in Norway,
    (Google.com and YouTube.com: A letter from a Norwegian politician about 2012) it was also officially
    inaugurated a warehouse with hundreds of millions of seeds to protect humanity in the case of a
    catastrophe, on 26 of February, 2008.

    The Prime-Minister of Norway, Jens Stoltenberg, also an ecologist militant, Wangari Maathai (Kenya) –
    the recipient of the Nobel Prize for Peace, Jose Manuel Barroso – the President of the European
    Commission, took part at the inauguration.

    Two statements from the event:

    Jens Stoltenberg: “The biological diversity is endangered by forces of nature and by people’s actions; the
    bunker with seeds is our insurance policy.” Notice that the Norwegian Prim-Minister put first “the forces of
    nature.”

    Jose Manuel Barroso: “We hope and work for the best, but we must be ready for the worst.” No further
    comments.

    2) The bunkers on the moon. Scientists work at a true “Noah’s Ark” which would be located under the soil
    of the moon. The lodgements should contain information on DNA, embryos, the melting of metals, plants
    growing and all that is essential for life and civilization, if a catastrophic event would eventually take place

    3) In February, 2008, also came the announcement that Sony Pictures acquired the rights of a new script
    by director Roland Emmerich. The title of the film is “2012” and will be released in the summer of 2009.

    The title “2012” refers to the date when, according to the Maya calendar, the world as we know it would end.
    Emmerich’s “Apocalypse” is among the movies about disasters, being similar to the movie “The Day After
    Tommorow”, an international success from 2004. The film premiered in May, 2004, after “The Observer” had
    made public a report of Pentagon about the dramatic climatic changes, in February, 2004 (Google: The
    Observer Pentagon Climate).

    Notice that starting with the summer of 2009, the moment of the film’s international premiere, the planet Eris
    / Nibiru will be seen in the sky as a slightly red object.

    4) On the 28 of February, 2008, another news was spread all over the world. Its title was something like:
    “The Japanese astronomers believe in the existance of a new planet in the solar system.” A few ideas:

    The operations were coordinated by the Japanese professor Tadashi Mukai and by the American
    researcher Patrick Lykawka. They will be published in April, this year, in the Astronomical Journal
    edited by American Society for Astronomy.

    “There is a high probability that a real, still unknown planet… located at the border of our solar system…
    we are now looking in places that we have not looked before, and I think we will be able to see the planet
    within the next five or ten years”, researchers said.

    NewsScope; July 21, 2008. Every year the crop circle formations that appear in England are eagerly anticipated, as they have grown increasingly complex and beautiful. The formation that appeared last week near Avebury Manor depicts our solar system, with the nine planets orbiting the large Sun in the center. The planets' positions correspond to an actual date, which is December 21, 2012 – the end of the Mayan calendar.

    Astrologically, a horoscope set for the Winter Solstice on December 21, 2012 (6:12 am; Washington D.C.) shows several important outer planet configurations, underscoring the momentous significance of that time. As described in this column recently, the signature event for 2012 is the Uranus-Pluto square, which is exceptionally dynamic due to their placements in Aries and Capricorn. The last time Uranus and Pluto were in aspect was in the revolutionary 1960s.

    Specific to December 21, 2012, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto are all at 8º of their respective signs (Gemini, Scorpio, and Capricorn), so that they form a rare concise configuration. This trio is all the more powerful since it's precisely in line with the U.S. Ascendant at 8º Scorpio and the U.S. Uranus at 8º Gemini. These kinds of precise, multi-planetary alignments create spectacular events.

    The overlay indicates that the U.S. government will be a key player as it attempts to manage (Saturn) whatever crisis is unfolding at the time.     This is the most exciting and puzzling event so far this year to appear in Wiltshire. This formation appears to deliberately straddle a public pathway. This is a little baffling as there is plenty of room in the barley field to accommodate a pathway free design. Intriguing indeed!     The 5125-year Mayan Long count calendar will end on December 22-23, 2012. Given the long period of time which it represents, all nine planets of our solar system need to be shown in order to mark its end uniquely. Such a clever astronomical diagram was shown at Avebury Manor on July 15, 2008. All nine planets appear there precisely as they will be located in space four and one-half years from now on December 23, 2012, with one exception.

    Thus, the outermost planet Pluto has been drawn in this new crop picture somewhat further to the right (or closer to Neptune) than should be the case. Yet Pluto still seems to be located correctly relative to the crossover of its highly elliptical orbit with the orbit of Neptune.

    Is 'Planet X 2.0' Lurking Beyond Pluto's Orbit?

    Before the doomsayers hijacked "Planet X" and used it as a phantom (a.k.a. "Nibiru") to scare people into believing the 2012 doomsday hype, the hunt for Planet X was an exciting astronomical quest to find a hypothetical world in the outermost reaches of the solar system in the early 20th century.

    Although dwarf planet Pluto was discovered during the search for Planet X in 1930, apparently ending the quest, there is enduring evidence for the existence of a substantial planet gravitationally shaping the population of minor bodies in the Kuiper belt and beyond. The only problem is, we can't see it.

    ANALYSIS: Does a Massive Planet Lurk in the Outer

     

    Earlier this month, at a meeting of the American Astronomical Society in Timberline Lodge, Ore., Rodney Gomes, an astronomer from the National Observatory of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro, announced the results of his simulation of a region beyond Pluto known as the "scattered disk," suggesting the presence of an as yet to be discovered massive world.

    The scattered disk is a sparsely populated region that overlaps with the Kuiper belt at around 30 AU (Neptune's orbit), and some scattered disk objects (or SDOs) have extreme orbits that extend to 100 AU.

    One such small world is Sedna, a dwarf planet with a highly elongated orbit. "Sedna's orbit is truly peculiar," said Caltech planetary scientist Mike Brown, who led the team that discovered Sedna in 2003.

    These extreme orbits, argues Gomes, could be due to the presence of an unknown massive planet. By his reckoning, a planet four times the size of Earth may be out there beyond the orbit of Pluto. In his simulation, he placed the gravitational field of a large planet and watched the effect it had on the SDO's orbits.

    "Rodney Gomes is actively seeking further evidence, and I await his findings with interest!" Douglas Hamilton, an astronomer at the University of Maryland, told Life's Little Mysteries. "He has taken on a difficult task, but is taking the right approach. It is definitely a high-risk, high-reward, situation -- a discovery of a new planet would be spectacular!"

    ANALYSIS: No 'Nemesis' Boosting Comet Impacts

    Although the presence of a massive planet may explain the extreme orbits, there is little else that suggests Planet X 2.0 really is out there. But the method of seeking out other worlds while looking for their gravitational influence on the orbits of other celestial bodies has been done before, with historic success.

    In 1781, British astronomer Sir William Herschel noticed a perturbation in Uranus' orbit. By 1821, French astronomer Alexis Bouvard surmised that Uranus was being slightly "tugged" by the gravity of another, as yet to be discovered, massive planet in the outer solar system. In the 1840s, English and French astronomers John Couch Adams and Urbain Le Verrier independently went on to calculate where this mystery planet should be in the night sky by purely measuring these little deviations in Uranus' path.

    Fifty-five years after Herschel noticed Uranus' perturbations, the distant planet was officially discovered by German astronomer Johann Galle in the location predicted by Couch Adams and Le Verrier. It was named Neptune.

    Following the discovery of Neptune through studying perturbations in the orbit of Uranus, astronomers in the late 19th century still believed there must be another massive planet in the outer solar system causing additional perturbations to Uranus. By 1906, Percival Lowell -- founder of the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Ariz. -- was inspired by these hints of another world and started a search for what he dubbed "Planet X."

    It wasn't until 1930 that Clyde Tombaugh, an astronomer at Lowell Observatory, discovered Pluto. At the time, it was thought the search for Planet X had come to an end, but after follow-up observations in the decades after Pluto's discovery, the tiny world was found to have a minuscule gravitational field -- it wasn't the "Planet X" astronomers were looking for.

    INTERVIEW: Where Are You Hiding Planet X, Dr. Brown?

    As it turned out, many of the perturbation measurements were eventually put down to observational error, but that didn't negate the potential for more large planets beyond our observational capabilities existing beyond the Kuiper belt -- the scenario that Gomes is currently investigating.

    This new search for a hypothetical world is interesting, and reminiscent of Lowell's hunt for Planet X, but just because extreme SDO orbits hint at the presence of another body doesn't mean there has to be a Planet X 2.0.

    "You can go back 100 years to claims of planets in the outer solar system and (their orbital anomalies) have all eventually gone away," said Hal Levison, a planetary scientist at the Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colo. "That should give you pause for thought. Just because there's not a good explanation for (the orbits of the scattered disc objects) besides another planet doesn't mean there won't be a good explanation in the future."

    One leading alte
    rnative theory as to how SDOs got flung around is that during the sun's formative years, it grew up in a cluster of tightly packed stars -- perhaps the gravitational instabilities caused by neighboring stars affected the objects in the outer solar system.

    "Back at the time of the birth of the sun, the sun probably formed in a cluster of other stars. If true, they would have been close enough together to influence each other's outer planet systems, like where Sedna is," said Brown.

    So for now, we'll just have to wait and see if more evidence presents itself -- at the moment, evidence for Planet X 2.0 seems a little too thin.

    Ian O'Neill: Hehe, that's good! I've been writing about the non-existence of an Earth-killing Planet X for the last 2 years, and I still get hate mail because I say the thing doesn't exist!

    Mike Brown: I sometimes get hate mail because people are convinced it does exists and I discovered it and therefore the destruction of the Earth is really all my fault. I only WISH I had that much power.

    Ian O'Neill: Lol! That's an interesting twist! So you're not hiding the existence of Planet X then? ;) Or should I say "Nibiru".

    Mike Brown: It's funny. I really do get many emails and even worried calls from people who are convinced that I know something and am not telling.     I think some conspiracy theorists think these dwarf planets are bigger than they really are!

    Mike Brown: It was clear, even in the first second of discovery, that this thing was big -- bigger than Pluto, even -- but it was also clear that it was not the Planet X of legend. In my mind, that always referred to a really planetary sized thing -- Earth size, Mars sized, even Jupiter sized -- that was hiding at the edge of the solar system. We knew Eris was big, but it was clearly not a beast like one of these!

    If there really were a Planet X out there doing what Planet X was supposed to do -- that is, perturb the orbit of Neptune -- it really would have to be quite big. But now we know that the orbit of Neptune is really not being perturbed at any measurable level, so that originally motivation for a Planet X 150 years ago is gone.

    Ian O'Neill: I think the favorite doomsday object is that Planet X is a brown dwarf (!!) lurking somewhere near the Kuiper belt. Wouldn't we have spotted something like that before now?

    I think THAT would have played some serious planetary billiards with the Solar System by now -- those "perturbations" would be planetary U-turns!

    Mike Brown: It is not impossible that the sun has a brown dwarf companion, but to be hidden from us it would have to be much, much further out than the Kuiper belt. Maybe like 100 times further. And at those distances its effects on the earth are pretty much zero.

    There are very good limits to what you can hide at what distances in the solar system and not detect their gravity. You could put a Mars at a few hundred AU (10 times more distant than Neptune, say) and everything would be fine. You could put a Jupiter at a few thousand AU (1000 the distance of Neptune), and, again, you're safe. There might even be things out there that someday we might find. I certainly hope so!

    Ian O'Neill: Wow! Those distances are pretty huge! If there was something of note out there, it would have to travel pretty quickly to make it to the inner solar system by Christmas 2012!

    Mike Brown: Yeah, that's an interesting calculation. Let's see, 1000 AU in 2 years is...

    ...2400 km/sec. At that speed you would not be in orbit around the sun. You would not even be in orbit around the galaxy. You would have to have been shot at us from intergalactic space faster than any known object (cue spooky music).

    Ian O'Neill:That's stupidly fast! That's faster than a hypervelocity star!

    Mike Brown: Only by a factor of 100 though :)

    Ian O'Neill: Okay, so I think we can safely forget about a massive, speedy Planet X paying us a visit from 1000 AU distant, but what about something hiding in the Kuiper belt? There are a lot of undiscovered bits of debris (or "blood splatter" as I recall you describing it in one of your presentations). Do you think you'll still turn up some sizeable bodies lurking amongst the splatter?

    Mike Brown: I do think there are sizable bodies left to be found, as long as by "sizable" you mean "approximately the size of Eris or perhaps a bit bigger at best." That's what you meant, right?

    Mike Brown: The reason I say this is that (1) We have looked at about half of the Kuiper belt by now, and the biggest thing we found is Eris. Second biggest is a little smaller (Pluto). Third is a little smaller still (Makemake). Fourth is just a little smaller still...

    Ian O'Neill: Absolutely. I think a lot of the most crazed conspiracy theorists still think we are going to stumble across Jupiter 2.0 in the Kuiper belt.

    Mike Brown: If in 1/2 of the Kuiper belt we find a very smooth distribution of sizes like this, then surveying the other half of the KB it is unlikely we're suddenly going to jump an order of magnitude in size.

    Yeah, so Jupiter 2.0 CAN'T live in the Kuiper belt. We've known that for decades simply from watching what the other planets are doing.

    Ian O'Neill: I think we can safely say there's nothing too much bigger than Eris out there. Isn't that still smaller than our moon?

    Mike Brown: For me, the fun thing to think about for "sizable" in the Kuiper belt is that fact that there was no equivalent to Clyde Tombaugh in the southern hemisphere. So it is not impossible that someday someone might find something as bright as Pluto moving in the south that could have been discovered 80 years ago but wasn't until now!

    Mike Brown: Yeah, Eris is about half the size of the moon. Pretty pathetic, even I must admit.

    Ian O'Neill: That's still impressive considering you managed to spot that little thing floating around -- must have been like looking for a needle in a haystack!

    Mike Brown: As individuals, Eris and Pluto and all of the rest of them have only a trivial impact on our solar system. You could get rid of any of them (I have a vote which ones, too) and nothing much would change. That makes them very very very very different from the planets.

    Yeah, a haystack that we searched through systematically for 8 years before we found it. I think I am now allergic to hay.

    Ian O'Neill: Wow, you must be patient. It must be satisfying to actually find a dwarf planet. How many objects have you found now?

    Mike Brown: As of now I am up to something like 100 objects in the Kuiper belt. There are people who are much much much more efficient at finding things though. They're going after faint ones, of which there are many. The ~100 that I've found are bascially the brightest 100 out there.

    It's really very fun to come in to your office in the morning, search through data taken (automatically!) the night before, and know that today might be the day you discover something bigger than anything else discovered in 150 years.

    Ian O'Neill: That's incredible. This is why I'm astonished by this whole "Pluto is a planet debate" -- the Solar System contains so many objects (and still growing), some re-classification is needed.

    So you don't have to use one of those blinking light tables (blink micrometer?) to find dwarf planets any more?

    Mike Brown: It was not a bad debate to have had, I think, as long as it made people sit up and look at the solar system fresh and say "wow, look at how Pluto really fits in HERE with the other Kuiper belt objects rather than HERE with the planets." Incredibly useful that way. But much of the continuation of the debate is driven by ignorance and emotion rather than an understanding of the solar system. Not all of it, mind you, but much of it.

    It's true that I don't use the blink comparator anymore, but the idea is still exactly the same. Every one of those Kuiper belt objects I found I first identified by the fact that it was moving in images (blinking on my screen, rather than in the big clunky machine).

    Ian O'Neill: I agree -- I think people actually know how many planets there are in the Solar System from this debate alone. No bad thing. But I do agree that much of the intense debate comes from emotion rather than logic.

    Ah yes, "blink comparator", that was the name of it. Thank goodness the observations are taken automatically now.

    Mike Brown: Emotion and ignorance. If you ask people to draw planets in the solar system and make them the correct relative size and then draw Pluto, most people will make it about the size of Mercury (which itself will be 1/3 the size of Jupiter). And I think that's because that's what we often see in popular images of the solar system. SOOOOO wrong. I wish I could take all of those images out there and at least make them correct.

    It's fabulous that the images are taken automatically and that the first cut at finding moving things is done by computer. It means that even though I was collecting data most nights for 8 years, I still went home every night and slept in my bed. It's a much more civilized way to do astronomy, I must say.

    Ian O'Neill: Ha, that sounds like my kind of astronomy too :)

    Ian O'Neill: So, this Planet X/Nibiru thing... how do I know you're not a part of a grand conspiracy...?

    Mike Brown: I don't get paid enough to be part of a conspiracy that big.

    Ian O'Neill: Good answer! Best yet.

    dear mike,can you answer this question?I recently watched a programme on discovery saying that our moon is drifting further away from our planet(only at a rate of 3.5cm per year),just say for instance it is increased by space debris or even worse hit by an asteroid big enough to knock it further away from our planet, considering what the moon actually controls on our planet,is this possible? which could be disasterous for earth, is anyone looking into this possibility?

    Here are the orbital parameters of VulCAN, the half Jovian mass body in our solar system. It was almost found by Forbes in 1880. It never gets closer than about 130+ AU. Aphelion is about 448 AU. It formindirectly forms comet swarms in a 3:2 resonate orbit. and some of these pass through the inner solar system. Its orbital period has been verified by four independent measurements and appears to be about 90% certain

    Regarding the article on your Discovery news website, "Where Are You Hiding Planet X, Dr. Brown?", i feel compelled to tell you that it is most disheartening to see "leet speak" in this article. The use of "lol's" is insulting to my intelligence.
    Is this supposed to be a professional article? The very first thing Ian O'neil says is "Lol, sounds good!" I hardly think he said that. Who ever says lol? As an intelligent reader, I am quite capable of inferring laughter. The second one, Ian O'Neill: Lol! That's an interesting twist! made me stop reading the article and write this.
    This is one of my favorite sites to visit. Please don't reduce it to a teen chatroom. What if I wanted to print this article for my father to read? He would have no idea what it means. I hate to say it, but I must. Shame on you Discovery news!

    I thought this was to be an interview. The interviewer is leading the questions in a certain direction. If Ian knows so much why get Mr. Brown's opinion? How can the interviewer tell the person "good answer"? The purpose of the interview is to get Mr. Brown's opinion. I do not care about Ian's opinions or answers. You want me to believe any of this then stop leading the answers to the questions being asked. Bogus!!

    Our nearest star, Alpha Centauri, has two companion stars, one with a staggering 10,000 AU distance from it's primary. Fully 85% of the stars that have been catalouged have at least one binary companion, and we would be an anomally thus if we didn't have one.

    What about the recent IBEX images revealing something out there, with a radiation signature in the southern hemisphere interacting with the heliosphere, causing it to "dent." What if this body is a brown dwarf failed binary companion star, that has an orbit stretching hundreds of AU away. The possibility of a "dark star" which has burnt out it's fuel, on an orbital path perhaps not on the solar plane. This would explain much in the way of this dent in the heliosphere, and it's reappearance thousands of years apart not neccesarily directly in the path of the earth, but through the solar plane. There is also a mysterious blank area just outside the Kyuiper belt that has been swept clean of asteroids, as if something gravitationally cleaned the area out, evidence of something near to the heliopause.

WE know where it is, below the sun right now, its twin stranded tail, 5 million miles long stretching from PX, 30 million miles away, toward the earth, and rippling like a serpentine tail, so that the hundreds of moons, or some of them, are silhouetted against the face of the sun.
